Came out and had breakfast over this last weekend. Food was great and service was great. Would recommend to all my family and friends.

RATS were found here. See the local health inspection reports and the KXAN news report. Don’t believe the good reviews. Not a clean place and there is a persistent rodent problem. Also, this place has been shut down for health issues before the rat problem surfaced.

I have tried this restaurant three times over the past month. The biscuits and gravy is the best I have found in North Austin area. I like the atmosphere and the service. Tried the pigs in blanket, three very large dry pancakes with sausage, to much to eat, they did not bring enough syrup or any butter for the pancakes. The milk was ice cold and coffee was good. I think they could pay a little more attention to the quality they put in cooking the food instead of quantity. Overall the restaurant has a good variety of choices, but attention to detail is lacking. I gave it four stars because of the biscuits seemed home made and coffee was good, but found that overall the restaurant is average.

Please keep in mind I’ve only tried this place once and this is my first impression. I’m hoping if I visit a 2nd time, my experience will be different. So, the prices are decent. I mean, I ordered a crab cake eggs benedict and most places you can’t get that for under $ 15.00. Here it was $ 9.99. Great deal! Unfortunately, the waitress did give me a warning when I ordered them saying that the eggs sometimes are overcooked. Again, I’m an extremely harsh judge when it comes to eggs benedict. This is what I order every time I visit a new restaurant. In a way, it’s my gauging tool of the restaurant’s capabilities. Rightfully so, the eggs came out hard boiled instead of poached. The waitress did offer to have them redo them but I was already half way through the crab cakes and potatoes and had just placed the eggs aside. I should mention the portion was large so I didn’t leave hungry. I probably will try this place again so I can try maybe the cakes or baked goods. However, I won’t be ordering any type of eggs or hot dishes from here.

Wow. Unfriendly staff and mediocre food. I can’t believe the good reviews. Maybe it’s better for breakfast? Had their special chicken salad and it was so liquid-y/runny I had to eat it with a fork. The lettuce was shredded and brown in parts and in a tiny little pile on the side of my dish. The broccoli casserole had undercooked broccoli and gelatinous consistency. The kids wouldn’t eat their sausage patties because the texture was odd. Couldn’t blame them. I wouldn’t eat it either. The worst part was the service. The waitress clearly didn’t want to be there and had an attitude. She answered questions very curtly, never checked on us, made sure we had our drinks filled, or were just generally ok. Had to constantly find her any time we needed anything(like a fork or refills). Miserable experience; couldn’t wait to leave. Won’t be back.

I was initially hesitant to visit 620 as from the outside it looks a little stuck in time and dated to say the least. But the food was seriously on point. Everything I’ve tried here is so delicious with very generous portions. The price is right, the food comes out quick. I think the ability to be good and fast speaks volumes to whoever is running that kitchen. They clearly take pride in their work. The wait staff is awesome and super friendly. They always make my day. There is always that one cranky lady with the sour look on her face but I chalk that up to ambiance. So if you’re looking for an old school diner experience with great food, fast service, an awesome wait staff, and rustic feel with a great family atmosphere, this is your place.

Don’t be fooled by 620 Café & Bakery’s modest outside appearance. This is one of the best local breakfast places that Round Rock has to offer. I have passed this place on 620 many times but I’ve decided to stop by and give it a try on a Sunday morning. I was really surprised of how good the food here was. For starters, they give you a «sampler» of the breads made by the bakery along with your breakfast. We got some kind of sweet bread along with some delicious banana nut bread. As recommended by other Unilocalers, I got the«Original Skillet» Breakfast served with eggs and cheese layered with home fries and your choice of meat(Ham, bacon, sausage). It was delicious and reasonably priced especially for the portion they give you. The skillet breakfasts are definitely a must-try for first timers at this Café. Aside from the great breakfast, the bakery is awesome. My sister-in-law is a big fan of their«apple pie» and we got a whole pie to go after breakfast. The apple pie is kind of expensive($ 18.00) but it’s well worth the price due to how delicious and fresh it was. I highly recommend trying out this Café if you’re in the area. It has really good breakfast and brunch items from the café. You can also get some great treats from the bakery to take home with you.

I was a little hesitant at first, due to the fact that the hostess did not greet us & seemed sour. Our waitress, Missy, on the other hand was super friendly & attentive & the food was AMAZING! We’ll definitely be coming back.

Early one Saturday morning my wife and I were searching for a good breakfast spot. Not being from these parts, we were taking a stab in the dark. She had seen this bakery the day before when we happened to drive by on the way to somewhere else — a place I don’t recall now– but I digress. We were about the only folks in the place when we arrived so we got great service. The coffee was solid café type coffee. I ordered French toast with cinnamon apple sauce and M ordered blueberry pancakes. Both were really good. The apples on my toast seemed to be fresh and not some kind of canned concoction. I asked for a slice of the chicken fried bacon, just because I’ve never heard of it or tried it before. It was interesting. I took me a couple of bites to decide it was good. It’s not something I would want a lot of but glad I tried it. Overall good experience

This café and bakery envelops you the moment you walk in with an aroma of fresh baked goods coupled with the visual of a wide array of muffins! The menu is phenomenal with amazing texas-sized southern fare. I had the special recipe chicken salad in a tomato with an upgraded side of fried zucchini. We also enjoyed a club sandwich in which the bread was ultra crisp to perfection and the applewood bacon was the best we’ve ever tasted. A neighboring table had the chicken fried steak, despite the large portions, all kids cleaned their plates! The service is also impeccable with Michele truly setting a gold standard with a warm, caring, and fun personality, along with a willingness to cater to special diets.

The food is worth a 5 star plus, the service brings down a notch. I recommend this place highly. Prices are more than reasonable for what you get. Everything is scrumptious. Best Quiche Loraine ever.

Came here before our long drive back to California. Food was delicious! I ordered the Country fried steak with scrambled eggs. I am picky about my scrambled eggs and they nailed it. They were made just the way I like and not over cooked. I didn’t even ask them to make the scrambled eggs easy. The steak I was able to cut with my fork that’s how tender it was. I did not eat the potatoes because I didn’t care too much for them and I also needed to save room to try the country fried bacon with gravy which was my favorite. I love crispy bacon and this dipped in batter and fried just melts in your mouth. We don’t have this back in California, which is probably a good thing. If we ever return to Texas we will be stopping here again!

This place never disappoints. If a killer weekend breakfast is what you are after, search no more. Trust me. This is a stick-to-your-ribs, down home country cooking kind of place. I mean… queso on a breakfast skillet… yes please! We always take our out of town guests to 620 Café(or the Purple Pink Green Window Place as my little one used to call it!) and they always love it.

Sorry 620 Café, but you were too awful to make up with your cute little location. Pros: –cheap –cute –no wait for a Sunday breakfast Cons: –bug in the water –waited 45 min trapped in our booth being ignored by our waitress when all we wanted to do is pay –seriously, we tracked down the host and hostess each at least once and the waitress still did not make an appearance –I mean for goodness sake, we’re trying to give you our money, please come by and take our money please –no itemized receipt, AND my card was not returned after we paid. Had to track down hostess to find card. Food was fine, just what you expect at a diner. Got eggs and bacon and pancakes and juice.

The place is cute upon entrance, and the service is really fast and friendly but the all except the chicken fried bacon was made from a can or box. In all honesty we could have taken some pancake batter and made everything that we ordered, because that’s what they did. The place is cute but I would rather have good food than multi colored curtains.

They do an Amazing breakfast and The ambiance and service was great. We came here for a Valentine’s day brunch and I gobbled up their meat skillet. There was a lot of people that day but we didn’t have to wait and were seated promptly, and all the waitress staff were very friendly. Every time any of them passed our table, they offered to refill our drinks(I think it might have helped that we were sitting next to the kitchen door). Absolutely no complaints, and I definitely wouldn’t mind eating here again or recommending this place to a friend.

I appreciated the friendly service and the quality of the food. It’s nothing ground breaking, but it is a simple breakfast spot to casually hangout with with others and have a nice conversation. I ordered the«Original» skillet breakfast and it was good. I liked the slab cut bacon that was mixed in. It wasn’t skinny or thin cut, it was bacon you could taste and required a few chews before swallowing. It was true«country» style bacon. Upon leaving we bought some muffins and pumpkin bread. They are solid, flavorful, and good. Great for a treats when you are back home drinking tea or coffee. I don’t come here all the time, but I think I will make it a nice little stop when I want some local flavor and hospitality.
