Eh. We ate here sunday about 2pm. This location is always busy. Expect a wait. We were seated in about 20 minutes. Fun browsing the store. My problem is with the service. Food is good, affordable, fast. But the service is not great. This go around we had debra. We were sat. Several others tables were sat, they get a waitress. we had to ask a guy(nathan) to find out who our server was. she walks up to another table and takes their food and drink order. Goes to back, and returns with their bread, drinks, salads, etc. Then it’s our turn.(at this point we’ve been waiting way too long). I let her know we were here way before the other table. I get servers get busy. At least walk by and say«hey I will be right with you«. This seems to be the norm.

I love the home cooked flavor of the food. My family and I have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner… and have never been disappointed. The country store is fun to browse, too. Most of the time the place is packed. If it stayed open 24 hours a day… I believe it would be full at 3 in the morning!

It is always fun browsing the store. This CB is always very friendly and has good service. The food is always good and the place is always clean. The new campfire dinners are really very good. My only complaint is the rest room was needing some attention from the staff.

Favorite restaurant when the boyfriend and I want breakfast! Expect a long line on Sunday mornings, but the food is always hot and tasty. Delish! Many different combinations of items for breakfast. Did I mention the great prices :)

This is an overall review of Cracker Barrel as they are all exactly the same. Great quality food, nice setting, good service, cheap check. This is up there as one of my favorite chain restaurants and I feel it’s underrated. Nowhere consistently puts out dishes that taste home made for such reasonable prices. I usually go with the chicken and dumplins which comes with a delicious white gravy and I get mashed potatoes and corn on the side. The chicken always needs some extra seasoning but that’s an easy fix with the salt/pepper on the table. The biscuits are hot and fresh out of the oven and are a nice compliment. I need to try this place for brunch as their breakfast menu looks great and I’m sure its a step up from the likes of Denny’s.

Ordered 8 oz steak(medium rare)…the steak was overcooked and advised the waiter. He looked at me confused then looked at the steak. He came back with a cut of meat that definitely was not sirloin, ribeye or anything I’ve ever seen. This small slab of meat was way thinner and the meat was again overcooked. If you can’t cook a simple steak then you should not be cooking at all…. Dinner at McDonald’s would have been better.

Crazy busy Sunday lunch. We always love this place for some good olé comfort food. The waitress was super nice and very patient with all our high demands and constant biscuit refills. Gotta love the biscuits and apple butter and the corn bread with that yummy honey. I got the sampler breakfast with the country ham, which is absolute salty goodness. The bacon was standard and the sausage fairly good. Love my scrambled eggs. The hashbrown casserole was ok, but I prefer the crispy hashbrowns. Always a fan of the baked apples though. The grits, I could have passed on. Also was served that yummy smokey gravy which is awesome on the biscuits as well. This is Carb Heavan. My husband got steak and eggs. This place has really good steak and worth every single penny — always cooked to perfection and no overly seasoned so you can enjoy the flavor of the beef. One of my daughters got the chicken tenders which she loved, battered well and good seasonings. My other daughter ordered the chicken fried chicken which was perfectly coated and seasoned as well. The only complaint I have is that they call you after waiting for 20 minutes to just tell you — «oh we are close to having your table ready» then we wait 5 more minutes and are walked towards the dining area where we are told again«they are now getting your table cleared and we wait another 5 minutes. This was with my 7 mos pregnant daughter who has a bad foot and could barely stand. Other than that, this was an enjoyable experience and I sure appreciate the waitress being patient with us and keeping her smile on. Thank you!

When I entered the store, I was taken by surprise for its ambience and beautiful hand works. While you wait for the table, you can sit outside on one of the rocking chairs and relax, or stroll through the gift store on-site until you hear your name called. Two of us waited around 15 mins to get a table on a Sunday for brunch. Each table had a cute lantern and the interiors have antique wall decors . Quite a number of choices available on the menu for vegetarians like me here. We ordered Buttermilk Pancakes and Hashbrowns, Fried Apples n’ Biscuit. The servers were friendly and did quick refills of brewed coffee. We got our orders in few minutes. Portions were huge! Buttermilk pancakes were fluffy and soft. They were loaded with fruit toppings and whipped cream. Loved the Hashbrown Casserole and fried apple. Yummy indeed! Pricing is just right. This is a nice option to try out. Worth the wait!

Who doesn’t love home style country cooking?! Great food at a great price. You always get some good sides. Get some free biscuits and cornbread as a complimentary appetizer to start. I typically get the breakfast because I love it so much, but I haven’t been disappointed yet. The store has TONS of stuff crammed in to tempt you to buy more. Great for gifts though, honestly.

There’s never a dull moment while dinning at Cracker Barrel! From the lip smacking good food to the legendary coke cake! This place is good for birthday get togetherness and also it’s a perfect place to gather with friends. Home cooked meals at a price that’s easy on the wallet! Good food for a cheap date night! Come on in and leave full hell you’ll even have to un-do your pants button or get wheeled out in a wheelbarrow! Yum yum!!!

My wife and I ate at Cracker Barrel a couple months ago. About 5-minutes into the meal an alarm went off. We were told by the waitress that someone had opened the back door by mistake. Well the alarm loudly continued. Finally after another 10-mintes we left with our ears a ringing. When the cashier asked how we enjoyed the meal I told her we did not and that we left half the meal on our plates. She offered be a «to go» box. I was thinking more along the lines of no charge at all. Well as we walked out the Fire Engine showed up. Back door open? They had a fire in the oven and could not be honest enough to tell us. I wrote a note like this on the CB website. Never heard a word from them. No return trip to CB for us.

AMAZING costumer service from young man named John H. I wish I knew of a better word than amazing! He was reassuring of the selections we made, and made some suggestions! He was quick with our refills, and went out of his way to bring us little extras we asked for. Again, he was AMAZING! My daughter and I came for a late dinner(9:40 pm!) and he didn’t seem inconvenianced at all.(Unlike the hostess.. .) Thank you John H. for your service!

Good food, horrible service. The waitress never refilled tea and my son had to go ask host where our server was so we could get check after waiting 10 minutes.

This is my favorite breakfast place not to far from where I live. My family and I go here at least once a month honestly its more like twice a month. My wife loves to shop in the country store while we wait for our seats. I will have to admit the decorate the store cute for the holidays. The food is delicious, Hearty, hot and served with a smile. I always order the Country boy breakfast and so does my son. My wife is the one who varies between her order depending on what she feels like that morning. I recommend this place to everyone. When we get out of town visitors we take them here.

Finally got a chance to try this one out. I was greeted by an amazing ambience at the entrance of souvenirs and such. Amazing table ambience as well. We ordered the 500 calorie breakfast with turkey bacon, soft scrambled eggs, yogurt and grains. It was great. Overall experience was excellent. Price was just right for occasional eat out breakfast.

Horrible!!45 minutes waiting, finally called and waited another ten minutes standing in dining room by fireplace as table not ready. Took 20 minutes to get a single cup of coffee! Rudest wait staff I have ever encountered. Waitress told my 7 year old«sorry but this hot chocolate looks like crap» !!! I appreciate a busy restaurant but this is unacceptable! Absolutely not worth my money or time. McDonald’s trains staff better than this. I truly hope management takes notice but doubtful. Even front staff taking names(a tall young man) was extremely rude and put off to even speak to us. Waitress handed me an extremely hot plate, no warning at all and burned my hand doing so. Food was a mess and spilling. Waitress poured refill on table and we had to clean up her mess. So upsetting

Came to this Cracker Barrel this past weekend because my mother-in-law was in town and has never ate here. Well usual Cracker Barrel on the weekends, packed and always a wait line. We waited for 30minutes for a party of four. Not bad, just browsed the store or at least try to without bumping into others. Finally we were seated and our waitress was nice. Our food didn’t take too long to come be brought to us. I usually order blueberry pancakes but I just had an egg sandwich. I knew I was going to have a heavy dinner so I didn’t want to overdo it. Plus it was easier to walk off at the outlets nearby. Good food for a chain and service was good. And now a happy mother-in-law.

Love the Chicken and Dumplings! Beyond this world amazing, wish there was a location in Austin. This location can get busy on the weekends, and the wait is typically 40 minutes plus. Plan accordingly for families with kids. The Sunday special is always amazing as well. The biscuits are so delicious you can’t pass them up. The Store is always a nice little pit stop for old time snacks/treats. The store has fairly priced kitchen items as well, like the cast iron items. The staff is always friendly at this location as well.

Very stressful experience, different places for table booking, cashier and hostess station with no one explaining it. As soon as you order the drinks they push you to order whatever you want to eat with almost no time to either think or read. With food still in your mouth they are giving you the bill and«suggesting» you go to the cashier and pay. Don’t worry u won’t occupy a table ever again here. Mediocre food you can find everywhere else, steaks are way worse than other well-known places. Loudy music so you can’t almost hear anything. In conclusion, completely different from the picture their marketing is trying to sell. We’re not coming back it’s not worth it at all.

Starting off when we sat down a waiter took our hot sauce without asking, then after we ordered I asked for hot sauce to two different waiters and never got it and one of those waiters walked by and took my brother in-law gravy without asking if he was done with it or not.

This Cracker Barrel was a bit busy when we went in but duh we came in at dinner time! As usually our meal was super yummy and our waitress was super sweet! The food came out fast for being crowded and she kept us loaded up with cornbread and biscuits! PS… Always ask for apple butter for your biscuits and cornbread!

I love Cracker Barrel for breakfast and one day I might return to one… however, it will never be this one. We had a ritual of going out on Sunday mornings for breakfast as a family with my in laws. One week they’d pick, the next we’d pick. Every time they picked it was to go to Cracker Barrel. The last 3 times we’ve gone there(so a span of a month and a half) my wife has gotten deathly ill from food poisoning. The first time she ordered the oatmeal and she was head hung over the toilet the rest of the afternoon. The next time we went, she ordered something different because she felt that the oatmeal had been what had made her ill. Well– that afternoon she was over the toilet again. The third time we went, she ordered scrambled eggs with cheese and hashbrowns– seems simple enough, but alas yesterday she ended up over the toilet again all day. And, as they say, happy wife– happy life… we will not be returning there. She’s already threatened me with bodily harm if we bring up going there again. On the flip side, she has lost about 5lbs each time we have gone there, so she says that’s a positive, but I can’t give them an extra star for that. I’m sure my wife would kill me since we share a Unilocal account and I’m pretty sure she would see it and I’d be sleeping in my truck for the night. On a side note, I did call and complain to the manager on duty yesterday and they were kind enough to offer our next meal for free… however, since my wife has forbid us to return and started calling Cracker Barrel–«he who should not be named» — I don’t think we will be taking them up on their ever-so-kind offer at future free food poisoning.

The food is alright but you’re really visiting for the experience! Checking out their large portions, walking around their store while waiting for a table, sitting on the rocking chairs outside the restaurant, and being amazed by the deep fried selection on their menu

Went back and my experience this time was excellent. Our waiter was great. Food was nice and hot and prepared as ordered. Jelly came out with the biscuits. Eggs over easy and scrambled eggs soft… perfect. French toast with apples and whipped cream was sweet and tasty. Bacon was crisp not rubbery.

After years of anticipation I finally was able to experience a cracker barrell. My friends think im so weird but since there are none anywhere near California, I wanted to take advantage of being near many while I am in Texas. I had a great experience. The service was so friendly! I love the southern hospitality! We ordered a huge feast of carbs and grease and I enjoyed every bite! I had the Sunday chicken and it was some of the juiciest fried chicken I’ve had. For sure get the hashbrown casserole on the side. I had a great time walking around the store. Great gift shop with cool things for reasonable prices. So glad I came!

Honestly I had heard mix reviews from people. Left me wondering about this place so my family and I went to try it for ourselfs. We went here during lunch time and you can order breakfast ANYTIME! and the portions are huge! The staff is very pleasant and attentive. They have the cutest country store with some awesome deals I got a hooded fleece poncho for $ 19.99. and some really cute salt shakers for .99cents. I will never understand why some people dont like this place. Maybe they just can’t handle the huge portions of food! Looking forward to returning. I am in love with the glazed apples and biscuits.

Let me be clear I loveeeeee breakfast. In fact I make it a point to never cook it unless it’s a holiday or I have someone visiting. I prefer to be taken to breakfast. That’s right, I’m spoiled and I am completely willing to admit it. This is one of the places I enjoy having an AM meal. This is not high-end dining and honestly that is part of the charm. I don’t have to dress up or drive that far which are big pluses in my book as well. The menu is big so take your time while looking it over. They have little meals all protein meals and they even have some meals under 600 calories.(the turkey bacon is fabulous). I really like the eggs in a basket I am sure it has something to do with the yummy bread and butter it’s cooked in. The coffee here is acceptable honestly I wish it’s was a little better. The other items they offer make up for it. I’ve tried the pancakes, country ham(it’s salty), the turkey and regular bacon, the biscuits, apple butter, fried apples and I can say all of these items are worthy of breaking your diet for. They offer a lunch and dinner menu but I will be honest I’ve never tried them. I stick to what I know this place does well, breakfast!
