Austex Moving

These guys were awesome. For starters, my dog adored them. That alone says enough as far as I’m concerned:) They were on time, super careful with my stuff, put everything where I wanted it. They made moving much less of a hassle and more fun. Thanks guys for the help and the humor! Highly recommend to anyone!

As residential property manager we sometimes find ourselves in need of a small job mover. We had a property owner moving our that needed several items moved to storage so that our make ready crew could get the property ready for the leasing market. We made an appointment with Austex for them to pick up all of the items and move them to storage. The arrived on time and accomplished the job in the contracted time frame. The price was reasonable and we are happy to recommend their service when asked for a referral.

The movers were on time, super friendly and they were careful with our items. They had everything moved in less than 2 hours. I would definitely use them again.

These guys helped us out in a last minute pinch and did a great job. Their rates were extremely reasonable and the movers were very flexible.

So, I hate people touching my stuff… as in I take a separate suitcase from my husband on trips so my stuff doesn’t touch his stuff. I’m weird. So naturally when I look to move the aforementioned precious stuff, I get anxious about who will be touching it. I gave Austex a call based of several friends recommendations and boy did they ever deliver. I called Austex with not a lot of notice and they were so nice, friendly, accommodating and reassuring about what great hands I’d be in! They fit me into the schedule lickity split!
Now, back to my stuff. Not one thing was harmed! They took exceptional care with all of my precious stuff. I consolidated went from about 3500 sq feet to 2500 sq ft so it was a lot of stuff! I thought it would be a long move and take forever. They were so quick and efficient while being exceptionally careful. Friendly, nice, honest and completely awesome. And for you cost concerned folks, I had price shopped several places and they were completely cost competitive and lower than other bids I received. The price I paid was the price I was quoted. And for the quality of move I received, I scored a major deal!
Considering they have touched more of my stuff than I have ever even allowed my husband to, it’s obvious for me to say they are my and my family’s moving company for life!

These guys were great! They were able to fit us in earlier in the day than we originally planned, and they called first thing to ask if we wanted to bump our appointment up. We were happy to do so, since we originally wanted an earlier time anyway.
They were super speedy and efficient loading everything into their truck and then unloading at the new house. They even managed not to damage anything, which is amazing to me. I’ve never used professional movers before because of horror stories of broken antiques or misplaced boxes, but I have to say that I will gladly recommend these guys to family and friends (I hope not to have to move again like… ever, but if I do, I will be calling AusTex!)

CJ, Devin and Jose were awesome. We had 2 Penske trucks to unload and they arrived on time and prepared. They unloaded everything quickly and carefully and put things exactly where I wanted. I would definitely recommend them and use them again if needed.

Nobody enjoys moving… We used Austex and they were fantastic. Jim Clark and his crew were very professional and got our move done quickly and efficient. They were on time and didn’t stop until the job was done. I would highly recommend Austex!!!

We had a 1 bed 1 bath 804 sq foot apartment we needed moved. They’re pricing was absolutely the best in town at the time. Jim was courteous and professional. We had a huge chance of rain move in day so he and his crew skipped lunch and were flexible enough to come in an hour early at my request! They were so efficient and fast! They got is moved in under 2 hours including travel time and took care of our possessions like they were gold! Not one thing broken or chipped or dented! I am in the real estate industry so I’ve seen a lot of movers and I can say I was by far the most impressed with them!

We all know what a nightmare moving can be. I have used this moving company two times now and both times have been the best experience moving can be. They show up on time. They are prepared. They are professional. And they work fast. I highly recommend Austex!

This company– Jim and his crew, did an amazing job. Made a move that occurred as difficult,– and turned it into ease and grace. They took infinite care with my things, were on time and just great. There prices are great as well. Can’t say enough good things– use them!

After our hired company just didn’t show up, Jim called me back after a frantic message I left. He even texted to make sure I knew they could help us right away on our original move day, even though it was already after noon!
His crew came and completed the job in 3 hrs less time than was quoted to me by other companies. They were very careful with our stuff and super efficient.
They may not be for people who want «white glove type service» where they aren’t themselves and wear colored shirt uniforms and all that. But if you are an Austinite or Round Rock resident and, like me, like real people helping you this is your moving company.
We really enjoyed our moving team.

After having 2 nightmare moves in one year (2012) I was on a search to find a moving company that would simply show up when they were supposed to, move my stuff without damaging it and not over charge me… sounds simple but its not in Austin. I was given Austex information by a friend who knew Jimmy personally so I had hope. My expectations were far exceeded. Jimmy came out and gave me a quote quickly. The move went flawlessly. They showed up on time. He had a great hard working and courteous crew. These guys really hustled! My oversized bedroom suite and small arched hallways were no obstacle for this crew as it was a serious issue for the previous movers.
Moving is painful enough as it is… I am so thankful I found a company that can help minimize the stress, pain and expense. I highly recommend Austex and will definately use them again.

I’m a fan of Austex Moving. After a nightmare with another local mover booking then cancelling (read the review) I was a little hesitant to go with another small local outfit. The Unilocal reviews for Austex encouraged me and I know now that they were right.
In fairness, I guess I can’t say that everything was 100% perfect, but everything that matters went right. We had zero damage to our stuff which is fairly amazing. The guys worked hard and got us out of a storage unit and into our new home in a little over 5 hours. Mind you, they called to say they’d be 15 – 30 minutes late, which turned into over an hour late for the first two guys, with two more showing up an hour after that. The two last guys looked like high-​schoolers, but were polite and diligent so good for them. Nice to see there are still a few kids willing to work hard these days. Austex is a little on the casual side (like Austin).no uniforms and a plain white, beat up trailer but they packed the trailer carefully and wrapped the furniture and again nothing was damaged.
I’m a little torn on the rating… I WANT to give them 5 stars but with half the crew starting an hour late and the rest two hours late… I gotta ding them by a star. They are friendly, polite, careful, and diligent. Where it matters most, they do a great job. They can learn the marketing polish later if they want to grow their business.
I’m happy to recommend Austex and would definitely consider them again if need arose.

Absolutely loved working with Jim and his guys! They were professional, affordable, and moved everything from large to small items when we moved from our apartment to our new house. They were willing to go to multiple locations to pick up items from storage and their pricing to do so was definitely reasonable.
They are enjoyable to be around on moving day, as we all know it can be stressful. I recommend them to friends and clients.

I wish I could give them 10 stars!!! These guys were great, Jim the owner is the most accommodating gentleman I have ever worked with, He facilitated a weekend move for the same price a lot of other companies were charging for weekday moves. His guys are VERY polite and friendly. These guys are very well mannered, kinda made me feel old with all the «yes sir’s» being thrown my way! Simon was on site to lead my move, and did a fantastic job directing and making quick work of my move. I was amazed at the speed that these guys were working. Although these guys charge by the hour, they waste no time, they are in an out in no time flat, I would highly recommend these guys they will take care of your belongings with the utmost care and respect! call them now!

Moving can be a nightmare, especially if you enlist the wrong help. I’ve been there, and it’s awful (ps — be VERY careful on Craig’s List).
On the other hand, moving can be pretty OK with the right team. Jim and his team at Austex Moving were awesome. They were polite, professional, and very respectful of our furniture and real estate.
I had thought their pricing was competitive up front, and now that I’ve seen them work, it’s definitely a fantastic value. No need to deal with an annoying inventory checklist — these guys will work on an hourly (or half-​hourly) basis, but you won’t catch them lagging to milk the clock.
These dudes are true professionals. They will certainly get our business again one year from now.

I called Jim at Austex moving to schedule a move from my rental house into my new home a few miles away. I saw their ad in an email and the price was very compelling so I decided to take a chance. I previously had mixed experience with the reliability and quality of movers. This was certainly not the case with Austex. They showed up precisely as scheduled, and were extremely courteous, with «yes sirs» and a military-​like precision to emptying the rooms, wrapping the items and packing the truck. They took great care even moving heavy items like my king bed and frame up the stairs. At the end of the move not a single scratch was found. Very pleased and can recommend them without reservation.

I moved to a home in Westlake built on the side of a hill with a tricky and challenging driveway.
I was concerned not only with my furniture but with the safety of my movers as they skillfully positioned the truck down the driveway backwards –half inch by half inch, by inch.
When that was done they had to unload the truck and walk up a flight of crumbling stone stairs, over a creaky narrow wooden deck and through a small door twenty feet in the air
Jim, Brent and Jose knocked it out with a combination of brute strength, finesse and grace that only moving professionals with many year experience can pull off… and they did it with a smile and a wonderful attitude.
Moving is a big part of my life: I am a Realtor. My Buyers and Sellers depend on me for solid performance when I recommend a service or product.
Austex are my go to guys.

I read the other review for Austex, but I have to disagree. I used them as the Austin part of a two city move less than a week ago and they were great. Clark Moving in Lafayette moved us out of our old house, and Austex moved us into the new one. Brent, Nick and Jose were the Austex movers and I have to say, they did an outstanding job. Very professional and efficient. It was obvious from the start that These guys are professional movers, not just unskilled labor. They took the time to decide the best way to get our furniture into different rooms without damaging either the room or the furniture, They kept boxes together by room, and they assembled several pieces for us after everything was moved in. The bill was agreed upon in advance, and then never mentioned again. They were courteous and professional the entire time. During the move I mentioned the bad Unilocal review and they said there has been a major retooling of the company and regaining their reputation is a priority. We’ll only be in this house for a year before we move again, and I absolutely will use Austex again for the next one based on this experience.
