Well after a weekend packed adventure of Mexican food, we come here for a second visit and some variety. I think there would be something for everyone to choose from on the menu. Service was top notch… We both lived outside of our comfort zone and went with something different. I had to go the route of Chicken Tortilla Soup, a cup that is… Was really good, came with a small plate of add on item, chip strips, cheese, pico, and some fresh cold avocado. Great Combo of Flavors. Of course we had to have Queso and Chips. The Queso stands out from anything you will find at a Mexican joint, and its good. Sometimes different is good! Wife had the Shiner Fish and Chips… Hot, Crispy and fresh… Fries were seasoned well and there was enough on the plate to take some home. I had the Grilled Cajun Duo… I could go into detail, but browse the menu. All around mine was DeLish!!! Flavors melted together and I was very Satisfied… I had a baked potato as a side… It was salt crusted to start with, that was a win for me. Loaded with all the goodies… This place falls into a category of «The Safety Net»…A place you can go and get good food, good service for a fair price. We will be back for sure.

The service is pretty nice and the prices are right. Going to bring my mom before she leaves to check for the consistency in the service. The food is good and fresh and that drank was perfect! Don’t forget the free dinner rolls while you wait!!!

Cotton Patch is your typically chain eatery. Food was ok, but they did have a pretty good menu to choose from. Staff were helpful and very friendly. Not a conveinient location but a positive atmosphere.

If you have a sense of humor then go here. Ordered fried green tomatoes which came out with undercooked dough; exchanged for fried pickles that were not great either. Hubby had a Dos Equis and asked for lime but they were all out. Ordered burgers that came on burnt buns and fries were cold and salty. Waitress did her best but won’t be back anytime soon. Also wear a parka and bring your own TP place was freezing and ladies room only had paper towels in stalls!

I’m not sure why we go to this place. Sometimes we just wind up in that area and find ourselves sitting in Cotton Patch. The food is consistently decent. The prices are just a tad higher than what I’d LIKE to pay for this environment and food, but is that realistic? The tortilla soup was good for a chain, not traditional, but flavorful. Cheese fries were as to be expected. Came out hot and crispy. How many bad things can you really say about cheese and bacon covered French fries? I mean, if you’re into that sort of thing. I can definitely eat… and I feel it is a mistake to get the full order. Pictured is the half order which was mooorrree than enough for P & me. Chicken tenders were tasty. Mashed potatoes and broc/cheese/rice look like they taste. I don’t remember which tacos P got, which is really, really unhelpful, but here they are pictured and he said they were good. All in all, decent experience when you want to shop at that HEB plus but don’t want to go in starving. Be careful or you’ll get the waiter that LITERALLY eats fries from off your plate. Seriously. He’s friendly though, don’t be scared.

Just found out they allowed a guy to open carry a gun into the business with it stuffed in his belt. Not supporting any business that tolerates this.

The food is decent. It’s hard to find traditional food anymore so you take what you can get. Mostly I support this business for allowing open carry in their establishment. This is Texas, and the people who don’t like it shouldn’t let the screen door hit them in the behind on their way out if they don’t like it. I don’t understand why so many people from failed, liberal, states come to Texas. They messed up their own states, and then come here and expect to bring their moronic ideas with them. Nope! Not welcome. Leave! Meanwhile I’ll have a decent chicken fried steak here with my sidearm, and watch you cry like the sissy’s you are.

Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! Metal wire in fries!!! Me and my family decided to eat at cotton patch tonight figuring they have something for everyone. When we got our food one meal was a salmon meal it was completely RAW and undercooked. Next meal was a chicken avacado sandwhich and the chicken was so overcooked it was inedible. Lastly and this was the most disturbing my father ordered a chicken sandwhich meal as well but his french fries came with a METALWIRE!!! Absurd this place is and i will never be going there again!

Done eating here due to their cowardly stance on open carry. The company says they will«comply with Texas law» and allow open carry. They fail to acknowledge that posting signs and prohibiting open carry in their restaurant is equally compliant with Texas law and would show respect and concern for their customers and staff. I suggest you also avoid this chain.

I always enjoy my visit to this cotton patch. It’s always great service with great food. My whole family can eat there for 50 dollars which I think is great. The only thing that could be better Is the seating. I prefer a booth but the only place for a high chair is at a table.

Well… We pass this place all the time when we go to HEB… We went here today for the first time and it was just okay. We went for lunch. The prices were actually much higher than planned. The menu ranges nice enough for everyone, I guess… The fish tacos did not taste as if they were made of talapia as advertised. My fiancé wanted steamed squash and we ended up with some kind of casserole slop. The queso was simple. The salsa was fresh. The Arnold Palmers we ordered were perfection, but something is missing from this place and our service was underwhelming. I was a Cotton Patch virgin until today, and even though they have a rad special on Mondays, I won’t be tapping this Patch again… Also, the parking lot sucked today. I realize it is Halloween, but the people who can’t park are scarier than your worst nightmare…

Great food at a descent price. I showed up as part of a group of four and we were seated immediately. There were plenty of menu items and ordering was easy. I had never heard of this establishment before, they don’t have one near where I live but the drive was familiar with it, stopping here was a good call.

The service here is wonderful! Every time my husband and I come here, no matter which server we get, they are super friendly and knowledgeable of their menu. My husband is the adventurous one and will try something different every time! And he loves it. I am in love with their fried pickles and the way they cook their green beans is so flavorful. It makes my mouth water just thinking about them. But for me I haven’t really found that one main dish that makes me want to order it again and again. Everything I order tastes good. But it doesn’t have that wow factor. So solid 4 stars for me.

I got the beef tip special for $ 9. And it was great! Lot of food and could not finish it. My wife got the fried green tomatoes and she was very disappointed. She usually likes them here The nachos are delicious, the queso is way better than the salsa.IMO. Kids meals were inexpensive Service was fantastic, food came less than 5 min. Server was very nice

If you want good home cooking and great service, this is your spot! We’ve been here a few times and haven’t been disappointed. Most recently we gathered a small group to celebrate a family birthday. I called ahead to make a reservation, and even though they don’t take them the server I spoke with left a note with the hostess so she was ready for us when we walked in. The chef even came out during the meal and greeted the birthday boy personally! One of their best dishes is the chicken fried steak — it comes just as it should, smothered in cream gravy! They have several sides to choose from, all delicious. For those of us eating on the lighter side, they also have several healthy dishes. I selected the tilapia, and when I asked my server about substitutions because I didn’t want the rice, she didn’t skip a beat in recommending a comparable option that came with a small salad and«skinny veggies»(about a cup of steamed broccoli, squash and carrots). Very family-friendly and good range of options for the kids’ menu — entrée, two sides, drink, and small dessert.

The place is near the grocery store we use frequently and every time we go we see a nice amount of people waiting outside to be seated. I’ve read the reviews and said hey why not give it a shot. As you step in you’re greeted by friendly people and when its not crowded you’re seated immediately. Within minutes of sitting our server took our drink order and let us know what the specials were for the day. Since I’ve become such a foodie, I am always looking for something unusual that I’ve never had. This place is for someone that enjoys home cooked meals that are known as comfort food. They have a nice selection to select from. I haven’t had Chicken Fried Steak with mash in a long time so why not try it. The order was out within minutes and I must say the food tasted really good and the batter was thick that it was over powering the meal. The mash is home made and not from the box yay! When I’m in the mood for comfort food, I’d come again.
