Eh, it’s ok. Almost exactly like Taco Bell, except I don’t think that Taco Bell has fish or shrimp tacos. The spicy chicken burrito is the best thing on the menu, in my humble opinion. The fish tacos would have had my vote, if there was a grilled fish(instead of fried) option.

This was one of the worst spots to open an unknown fast food restaurant so sad it should move closer to downtown

California chains trying to come into Texas are failing left and right and Del Taco is no exception. The food is sub-par, the service is bad, and we already have better options. Next time maybe don’t come into Texas unless you do it our way? Well, Bye! :)

I went by for a beef burrito at lunch today. Nauseous, queasy and vomiting ever since. Stay far away.

Love my veggie works(now called the 8 layer veggie burrito) burrito and crinkly fries. Shakes are yummy and thick.

I don’t know how people are rating this place anything over 3 stars. I had a taco and a chicken quesadilla and quite frankly some of the worst food I’ve ever purchased. It was EXACTLY opposite of what some of these glowing reviews state — cardboard, flat, no flavor, etc. how do you mess up a quesadilla? No thanks.

Update: we went there last night and they have closed down this location! Pretty good fast food. I’ve been to this location several times, and from the times I’ve been there, the service has been good, and it’s generally been clean. They have a drive through, and a small outdoor seating area– however, the outdoor seating area faces 1431 and feels like it’s in the middle of a parking lot.

I stopped by this location on my way out my daughters school, big mistake! I was so hungry and did not care so I ordered a number 1(2 tacos and a quesadilla) to start off the quesadilla was so thing and the cheese sauce inside was dripping out the paper it was wrapped in(gross) not to mention the sauce tasted like cheap government cheese ugh. The tacos, ugh should I keep going? The meat tasted like vegetarian meat, tasteless! Overall I think next time I will stay in line and go to taco bell which is down the street. I have never had to throw away my food but today I did! Never again… how can anyone rate this place 4 or 5 stars, are they nuts? Nunca mas prefiero hacer mis tacos yo sola

Love. Del. Taco. If you’re looking for Taco Bell, without the over-processed, cardboard tasting, complete lack of simplicity, look no further. Del Taco will give you creative, fast-food alternatives to all your favorites, but done FRESH. Five letters that prove to be the answer to everything. And Del Taco’s freshness will blow your mind. Give your closest one a try, and put behind the preconceived notions of what fast food Mexican can be. Del Taco will break every single one, and will do so for so little cash, you’ll be asking yourself for months to come, how you never knew about it before!

Blew me the eff away, honestly. We recently moved out to RR, and in my many travels along 1431, have seen their drive through advertised as 24 hours. to the other night when I was coming home way late, and didnt want a damn Steak & Shake, I figured there was no better time to give Del Taco a shot. I didn’t even read Unilocal reviews until I got home! Shameful, I know. The guy working the window was very friendly, and made a few suggestions on items to pick from. Told me about the cheap menu, and really made it so easy! He gave me bunches of sauces to try, so I was totally anticipating this food. I ordered the Pollo Asado Grilled Chicken bowl, 2 chicken fajita tacos, and a bean/cheese/beef burrito. He had me at cilantro! So I get home and bust out the bowl, and was hella impressed when I saw how loaded with everything that sucker was!!! Tons of everything. It was just rice and beans. I loved the flavor and cut of the chicken, the cilantro, onion, black beans. everything was pretty damn tasty. I sat at my kitchen table like, «Ill be damned!». The chicken taco was pretty good, and the bean/cheese/beef burrito was just that. nothing too fancy. Then, as Im eating, I start reading Unilocal reviews. I was surprised to see it had 4 of 5 stars, and very few negatives. It impressed me enough to get my ass in gear and get my reviews caught up! Ill. Be. Back.

HOWTODELTACO See all that fancy stuff on the menu? Ignore it. Turn your head all the way to the left and focus your attention exclusively on the green«Buck and Under» section. Here is what you will order: 1 Grilled Chicken Taco 1 Jacked Up Value Bean Rice and Cheese Burrito 1 Crunchtada Tostada 1 Iced Tea or Strawberry Lemonade(optional)… this is 99¢, and they will hand you an empty cup for the Iced Tea; they don’t really care what you get, it’s just cheaper that way for some reason. They have Coke Zero and Cherry Coke. Boom. What you will spend: $ 2.75 — $ 3.75, depending on whether you get a drink. Not cheap enough? You can give them your email address to get two free chicken tacos, plus there’s a survey to get another free chicken taco on every receipt. What’s that? You have picky kids? Plain nachos. Quesadilla. Cup of beans. All around a dollar or less. French fries if you want to splurge. You can comfortably feed a family of 5 for about $ 13. Give the kids water – what are you, Donald Trump? All good stuff, much better than Taco Bell. Very generous with the toppings. Don’t mess with the beef tacos – they’re crap. Clean place, friendly staff. Word of warning: if you place a complicated order at the drive-through, they will forget something every time. Check your bags before you drive away. Trivia: «Del Taco» means«Of The Taco.»

I love del taco! Im a native Californian who married a Texan, I missed Del taco so much, The food is good and cheap. My favorite things I missed was the chili cheese fries and fish tacos! Reminds me of home. Management is great and professional, restaurant is clean, where else can you get hamburgers and fries with some tacos?! Nowhere! So happy to have them in my neighborhood.

I’ve been going to del taco all my life in California and when I got to texas I thought I’d have to settle for sub part taco bell food for my Mexican fast food but then I learned they opened two locations! Well road trip was in order and I was not disappointed it’s even better than I remember. Bring your friends bring your family hell bring people you hate and bond over how awesome this place is!

So, like, I’m giving a chain fast food place 4 stars. I’m not sure if I can live with myself after this, but here’s why… My husband LOOOOOOOVES Del Taco. Memories from when we lived in San Diego. With all that great food around, it’s hard to imagine, but it was a special treat when we went to a certain area of town. I was never a huge, huge fan but it was adequate. Fast forward 6 years, and I don’t eat fast food anymore. Maybe once a year, or a few fries when super drunk. However, we were on our way home and STARVING and ended up here, so I looked at their menu and coddled together and interesting looking meal of 2 different types of fairly nice looking tacos(and one plain beef crunchy one because it had been years), for about 450 calories. The plain beef one was just that, but the chicken taco al carbon and the asada were DELISH. I couldn’t believe they came out of a fast food joint. I was impressed. Also, they took just a few extra minutes to get our food to us, and gave us free cookies(which were also super yummy). It also passed the«hours later» test — I didn’t feel gross. Yay Del Taco!

It beats Taco Bell hands down. For the price you get better quality food and more of it! Granted it’s not Mexican restaurant quality but considering it’s fast food it is close. And what’s great is if you or your friends decide they don’t want tacos they have burger and fries too.

When I started seeing the reviews pop up for Del Taco, I knew I’d have to visit soon. I lived in San Francisco for a few years, and used to go to Del Taco often. They were always 1 step up from a Taco Bell. Today, I stopped in and tried the #10 combo.(Spicy chicken taco and chicken burrito with chips and cheese.) The place was really clean, and the girl behind the counter really knew the menu, and was very informative. My food was ready by the time I’d paid and put my wallet away. Things have changed since I last ate at a Del Taco. They’ve changed the chips. I like light, crispy chips… which they used to have. Now Del Taco uses a very thick tortilla chip, which I don’t like as much. Not the end of the world, however. The chicken taco was good — I added some salsa for additional flavor. The chicken burrito, however, was very bland. I had to add lots of salsa to eat it, and even then, I didn’t finish all of it. All in all, it was an OK experience. I would probably have given them 2 or 2.5 stars today for the food alone, but the cleanliness of the place and the good employees have made me give them a 3 star review. I’ll probably go back at some point to try something else on the menu.

Yay! They’re open! And what great service! The great thing about Del Taco is the variety of their menu and the convenience of it being fast food. You can choose between burgers, tacos, burritos, along with different meats, fish etc. My favorite is the Deluxe Cheddar Fries! I am originally from So Cal so I am very familiar with what they offer but I recommend you try them for yourself.
