Still the worst location. Haven’t been to this particular one for a reason. Decided to give it a try today and nothing has changed. Same shit different ppl. Ruse employees, super unprofessional. I told the drive through lady that she was just that and she got kinda straightened up. But I hope they close this place down, get new owners and employees. I really don’t like driving 10 – 15 to the other kfc just to get a go cup. Ugh.

Dude! WTF? You smashed my chicken littles? It looks like you made the sandwhich and then stepped on it. Love me some KFC but this is the 2nd time in a week that my food was mangled.

OK. I haven’t been been to a KFC for a good 20 years. If I live for another 20 years, I probably won’t go again. My wife had a yearning for a simple chicken sandwich, and I figured hey, KFC should be able to pull that off. They used to have a basic fried chicken sandwich. I walked into this store and looked over the menu. While horribly organized, I spotted something called Colonel’s Original, which seemed like what they called the basic chicken sandwich decades ago. I asked the cashier if that were so. She didn’t know and asked another employee, who I took to be the shift supervisor. He said he didn’t know what it was either… I asked them both how they could possibly MAKE it if I ordered it since they didn’t know what it was. The guy said«nobody orders that.» I left. I know these are minimum wage people, and I empathize with their plight, but c’mon.

I absolutely love the doublicious sandwhich and also their«famous mashed potato bowl». Delicious! And their coleslaw beats any that i have ever tried at any other resturaunt! They also have a very sweet girl that works here and is always nice and smiling. Over all good experiences here.

I wonder if the person taking your order is at a call center or somewhere off site because she is super sweet and helpful. Once you pull around to the window it’s another story! Previous reviews are correct about untrained and rude staff. I always go for the $ 5 filler up box and they always forget my cookie! How dare you!

If you looking for RUDEGHETTOKFC employees this is the place!!! If youre looking for REAL Kfc employees go to the Kfc on Louis Henna! Kfc 79 is always out of chicken and the employees just run around not knowing whats going on! Then they get attitude with customers! And yall want $ 15.00 an hour!!! Really??? No more kfc 79!!! Go across the freeway to Popeyes! Didnt want to select a star but wouldnt let me post without selecting!

If you are planning to eat at this restaurant save up some time, if you plan on drive through for grilled chicken, which is so good, you better call ahead. I was told to call ahead if I wanted to order a 16 price grilled chicken. This is the second day in a row I tried to order this here. The manager told me very short shelf life. So sorry… well that doesn’t cut it because they advertise this chicken and the 16 piece they should have it… and both times it was 6:30PM…COMEONYOUARENOTCLOSINGINANHOURORANYTHING. GETMEMYCHICKEN. JUSTLAZYONTHEMGMTPART. Oh yeah she gave me 4 free jalapeño peppers .20 cents a piece for my trouble… lol Wow

I like the service at this location and the food is always perfect but please please please start remembering utensils with things like pot pies and famous bowls. Most of the time my boyfriend and I get the bowls right before we head to Killeen and we ALWAYS have to stop again to pick up a fork. Very annoying. I mean fingers will work but it’s quite messy when mashed potatoes and gravy get all over the car. ;)

It just couldn’t have gone well. Having business to attend to in Round Rock, I thought I’d try a RR kolache offering for my kolache list. I mean, I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wanted a kolache. As I don’t have a fancy smart phone(to the bemusement of other Unilocalers) I couldn’t really seek one out by my phone, so I did the old-fashioned and time-honored«drive-around-and-look» technique to locate a donut shop(to the chagrin of my fellow motorists). Alas, it was to no avail. I wanted to grub quick before my tasks, and I spied the Colonel’s visage across the highway, so I thought to myself, «They must have a little snacky-type chicken-y thing on the value menu. That might approximate – or at least lean in the direction of – a kolache.» Indeed they did – the cutely named, «Chicken Little» for $ 1.29. I ordered two of them. The first thing I noticed when I pulled on out of the bag, was that they’re indeed little.(I presume they’re chicken, too. No misnomer here.) I unwrapped this tasty morsel, when I spied mayonnaise. Lots of mayonnaise. It looked like a miniature explosion in a tiny mayonnaise factory. Don’t get me wrong – I love mayonnaise just like the next guy, so long as the next guy doesn’t eat it by the bowlful. But this was kinda gross. I posted a pic that I hope captured the mayonnais-edness of the experience. So I scraped, trying not to lose the mayo-soaked pickles that swam in the condiment, and trudged on. The sandwiches were OK, but tasted like… Yep, mayo. Otherwise, it wasn’t a bad little snack. The bun was nice, the chicken that was not engulfed in mayo was crispy. I could feel the presence of the pickles, but couldn’t taste them for the mayonnaise. That almost sounds hard to do, considering the strong flavor and saltiness of pickles, but the fine folks at KFC managed to pull it off. The manager waved and wished me a good day as I drove away. Nice, pleasant staff. So, thanks, Colonel. Two smiling, friendly stars to your Round Rock food and folks!

Customer monotoned I was craving wedges which I was looking forward to were dried and hard they must have made it a long time ago and let it sit there although it was a waste i threw it away after forcing to eat half. The fried chicken was well it was cooked but it also didn’t taste like it was recently made also kinda dried… Well the mashed potatoe and mac n cheese seemed okay for the most part well I wanted to dip my wedges in it –_– but that wasn’t going to happen… btw my food wasn’t exactly all that hot it was somewhat warm but I guess that’s pretty obvious seeing as how it was cooked a while back… The place never seems to have many customers and the people seem free enough to clean the place well enough and re post advertisements. well I dont think I will come back I rather go to churches chicken… but this is the only place I no that sells wedges… so maybe when I desperately want to eat that… to bad Jack in the box to that off their menu –_– The price hmm for the quality of the food seeing as how it went into the garbage i want my money back … the cost would have been okay I guess if it was made right thank god I ordered off the 1 dollar something menu o. o

*sigh* I was really looking forward to eating KFC tonight. It’s one of those restaurants that just sounds yummy every once in a while, though I don’t eat it very often. My husband went to pick up dinner for us, and unfortunately we didn’t get quite what we wanted. KFC was out of fried chicken. Out! I got the grilled chicken instead which was just okay. They were also out of corn on the cob. I asked for potato wedges instead, but they got confused and gave me mashed potatoes. They did give us one piece of Oreo pie for free, to make up for the inconvenience, so I guess that’s something. My husband said they were remodeling, and all that was open was the drive-through window. Maybe that has to do with their product shortages, but I still really wish they’d have had my fried chicken!

Went to KFC this week for a cheap, tasty, quickly cooked meal, and I got all that I was hoping I would get. Had the $ 5 Box meal with 3 Chicken Strips, a large drink, and mashed potatos. The meal is guaranteed to come out in under 90 seconds(as the cashier told me), and it was out in about 45. The chicken was juicy and hot, and the mashed potatos were covered in the yummy salty gravy they always are. For $ 5 you really can’t do better if you’re looking to grab a quick lunch.
