Phở Dan is a Great place to get good clean Food. We have started going here every Sunday morning since my wife and I work on Sunday and can get in and out quick. Prices are Fantastic ! We tend to spend under $ 30 when we order two entrees, 2 appetizers, and some hot green tea. Entrees come with their soup which is extraordinary ! It looks like a plain clear liquid and then you try it and it is a rich taste I can’t even begin to give it words other than MORE Please. Lots of different items on the menu we still need to try.

Really is the best phở around. The Austin store is good too. I’m not sure what they marinate the beef in, but it sure is great!

Really good food but our waitress needs to learn what customer service is all about. Oh and what is on the menu. Oh, and when someone orders tea, to bring it. I would come back– if she’s not working. Seriously.

The food is generally above average. The one star is for customer service. I’ve been going here since they opened and most of their employees are teenagers. I dont discriminate but these kids dont know anything about customer service. The owner can be rude as well. My mother inlaw refuse to go here for no other reason than the owner never looks happy when she servers. They have bad business practices. They recently started carding all of their customers. Even the sign at the register says«please be prepared to show your id». This is the first restaurant in my life that ever carded me. I can understand if the bill was like $ 75+, but we are talking just a single entrée lunch for $ 10. The teenage girl behind the counter was very rude about it as well. My family has owned restaurants, and yes, your going to get some losses from time to time. You need to mark up slightly for that reason. Even ID’ing is no guarantee your going to get your money. I always try to look the other way with Asian restaurants and still leave 15% even though there service is crappy. But if you must eat here, I recommend pay in cash and leave NOTIP. Their customer service is not worth it. They dont understand they are working for tips and need to please the customer. I highly recommend going accross the street to Phở Hoang instead. The servers and business owners have always been nice to me. They are generally much older and care about their customers.

5 stars for Phở Dan! Conveniently located in La Frontera. Very clean and smells nice. They are always cleaning when I come in I have a pet peeve about food just sitting on a table for hours unattended. People are super helpful and smile!!! Other phở places I have been to people look like they dont want to be there. Food: I have had their phở, spring rolls, steamed rice plate with charbroiled pork that’s shredded. Always had amazing food. So far not disappointed and my coworkers love this place too!

I was disappointed with my lunch today. I was craving bun with tofu and ordered it to go. Folks were very nice over the phone, I picked up my food and took it back. The sauce that usually comes with this– fish sauce– was missing. Instead– there was hoison sauce, which I cant eat. I was very disappointed, but already back at work and took a few bites, but couldn’t enjoy the food with the incorrect sauce. I have ordered Phở here, and it is good. Maybe next experience will be better.

I like Phở Dan well enough. I don’t really enjoy eating here, but I can see ordering for take out in the future. The place is impeccably clean and sometimes smells a bit too much of disinfectant. I know this isn’t bad, but it isn’t appetizing either. Each time I’ve come here, several tables were occupied, but the place was far from busy. That said the wait staff, as nice and attentive as they are, seem to stand around(in plain view) watching your every move until they see you need something. This would also not necessarily be a bad thing, but when they are watching you from less than ten feet away, it’s a little bit much. My go to order is vermicelli with tofu and vegetables mainly because I cannot make the vermicelli noodles myself. This dish is okay. There’s not much seasoning on anything so I always have to use the fish sauce, which I don’t really care for. Veggies are always crispy and fresh. I do love the spring rolls with the peanut sauce. Those I can eat for days! I haven’t ventured outside of my vermicelli and spring rolls, but I am looking forward to trying some other dishes. Of course, I will come back for more(or take out for more)!

lost two stars because there were 5 employees and three tables with trash dirty dishes. Lazy. No customer service, lost another star food with no favor. Oh yeah I left no tip. I never do that.

One of my favorite phở places right now. Everything tastes fresh. Some of the other phở places lately seem to have meat that tastes old. Good size portions, reasonably priced. Saves us from driving down to Lamar.

I like this place but it smells kinda funny, like sterile. Probably from being new. I had phở, which was okay. The spring rolls with pork was aaaaamazing. They are very friendly but kind of try to rush you out.

This location is pretty identical to the one on N Lamar. I’ve eaten at this location twice and have been really satisfied both times. The phở broth is flavorful and has a pretty generous serving of meat. I also really like the chicken spring rolls. My boyfriend has ordered the chicken vermicelli and really likes the chicken served with the dish. If you’re in the area, I’d recommend stopping by if you’re in the mood for Vietnamese.

I LOVE Phở Dan! I’ve been to the one on Braker a few times and I’m so excited I have my very own in Round Rock! The phở broth is so flavorful, there’s always an abundance of meat and I love how there’s three different sizes to fulfill any appetite. It’s nice that you can choose from small, large and extra large bowls! Phở for snack or if you’re starving a need to swim in your bowl of broth. My husband isn’t a soup guy so he usually gets a rice plate with meat. Recently when I went to dinner with my Dad I got him the sliced pork to go for him with an extra serving of pork. The meat isn’t usually enough so we figured out that we had an extra portion. He was so happy and satisfied with his meal. Service is is always decent and pleasant… honestly what do you expect out of the little Asian restaurants. I usually get phở with brisket, eye of round and/or flank. I’m not a fan of all the other«extra stuff.» Mmmm so good… I’m kinda drooling while I’m writing this. Hang tight, I think I gotta make a phở run now!

My wife and I are not vietnamese food vets, we’ve eaten some here and there, a lot of them will serve Chinese food too and since we’re a lot more familiar with that, we usually default to our comfort settings, we’re working on that… bear with us. I will say that this place is as good as Phở Viet, almost. My wife enjoyed char grilled chicken and fried egg roll pieces, the chicken was very tender and full of flavor… over a bed of steamed rice with sliced cukes and tomatoes with a small bowl of chicken broth soup. I had a char grilled pork over vermicelli noodles with peanuts… same tender and tasty thing going on… we topped it off with a couple of iced teas and a couple fried egg rolls. This must be fairly authentic cuisine because the place was full of happy eating people of Asian descent, and a few asthmatic Peruvians like me.

I really love Phở Dan as they are close and convenient to our home. We have tried several Vietnamese restaurants in town and these guys are heads and shoulders above the rest. Their staff is friendly and the place is clean and welcoming. I strongly encourage you to try the pork spring rolls. They are light and fresh, with the bright flavor of basil and smokey grilled pork. They can be a meal themselves for those who have a small appetite.(GREATFORKIDS) . The Phở is second to none in this town. The broth is very flavorful and has wonderful aromatics. Get the medium if you are really hungry, the large if you want to take some home to eat later.(Phở doesn’t keep well, so be sure and eat it within 24/hrs or so) I like to add Jalapeño to mine and give it just a little kick. The vermicelli bowls are my second favorite and often I will have a hard time choosing between the phở and the bowls. The bowl has lots of fresh veggies and meat of your choice.(We like the grilled pork!) Just dump the sauce they give you on the bowl, maybe some the barbeque sauce as well and give it a good stir. Enjoy!

Really good and filling! I ordered a broken rice dish with grilled pork(thit nuong), shredded pork(bi), and egg here: delicious! Only thing is, I would hope for more grilled pork than what was on there. With the other things on the plate: veggies, eggs, shredded pork, it made the entire dish super filling for me though. The service was fast & I’m really interested in trying the other Vietnamese dishes. Prices are a little pricey than other restaurants($ 2 difference).

Well lit, clean, courteous, and easy to go in and out of at lunch time. Pretty much made it a very pleasant time. They have a well varied menu from Phở to traditional steamed rice dishes to help your tastebuds fulfill their needs. Additionally, they have Asian smoothies and other small items for ordering. I had the Phở Beef & meat ball soup in a «small» portion(that was stilll quite big) and the shrimp & pork spring rolls. The spring rolls were big, fresh, crisp and crunchy. I wish I had two more pieces or shrimp per roll(or just bigger shrimp overall), but nothing negative about them I can consider. The Phở beef broth was really nice. Not over salty or seasoned and the steak and meatballs were good as well. I appreciate the bright natural lighting and openess it has. It seems that they have made use of a good space and if they keep up the food quality and good service, they should be around for a while as more and more people learn about them there. I will be back to eat more Phở sho!

Very very good. I felt a bit guilty cheating on my regular Phở Viet. I had a vermicelli bowl with grilled pork and egg rolls. I had it without vermicelli so effectively it was a salad. It was very good. I’d get it again. My one complaint is that I was still hungry and that may be my fault since I said no noodles. I wish there had been extra lettuce to compensate for the missing noodles. Our son had the kids beef soup with brisket and meatballs. He enjoyed it. The broth was some I’d the best I’ve had. He didn’t like the meatballs because of their dense and hard texture but this is how they are at every Vietnamese restaurant. Husband had the special spicy beef soup with wider noodles and blood cake. He enjoyed it but he thought it was too spicy. There’s no such thing for me. The hotter the better. We got the grilled pork spring rolls to start. They were plump and fat but the peanut sauce was very watery and didn’t taste like peanut to me. They were good though. Overall this was an excellent meal. I look forward to coming back. It was also very clean, bright, and spacious.
