Two stars only because it’s the only Boba place around this area. If it had competition, it would most likely suffer. I’ve lived in Taipei. I know what bubble tea should taste like. The pearls should be firm and hold together, not soft and mealy. I normally don’t compare places to their international counterparts, but there are much better places even in Austin so I know it can be done. In addition, the location is horrible. Let’s face it, bubble tea is an «on the go» treat and it needs to be convenient. Tapioca Tea House is off the beaten path, which is fine for a restaurant, but not a coffee/tea house that you just want to grab and go. Bottom Line: if you’re in Pflugerville and need a quick fix, this is the right place. But don’t drive to far to get it and certainly don’t drive up from Austin. Wow. Most. Boring. Review. Ever.

I am so glad I discovered a place close to home to get some delicious tapioca tea! Not the best I’ve ever had and the selection is somewhat limited, but what they do have is delicious! I do always request less syrup than they normally put in the mango and peach teas because otherwise it’s too sweet for my tastes, but their tapioca pearls are always perfectly cooked. I’ve never tried their sandwiches.

OK y’all. This place has the best bubble tea north of Coco’s Café on 183. For only $ 2.50 you get a super large cup of goodness with pearls. There is a little too much ice in the cup, but I won’t hate on them for that. If you are looking for bubble tea in the Round Rock or Pflugerville area, search no more. But wait — there is more to this joint. We had lunch today and ordered up the Vermicelli with pork and the broken rice with pork chop. This is a small operation with only three tables for cool diners like you people, but if you are patient, you will be rewarded with some yummy Vietnamese style food. Another customer ordered a sandwich while we were there and now I have to try one of those on my next visit along with a spring roll. But wait — there is even more. You can fill up your water bottles, play some video blackjack and even shop for a new T-Mobile phone while you are hanging out. Everything else was so good that I bet they even make the best snowcones in this part of the universe. Please check it out(closed on Tuesdays), but don’t tell all your friends because I want to be able to snag one of those lunch tables when I go again. What are y’all doing for lunch tomorrow?

Tapioca Tea House is one of those places that you stumble across but are not really sure if you should check it out because it’s not very clear what they sell, especially if you are not too familiar with what«tapioca tea» or «bubble tea» is. Once inside, it seems to be part wireless distributer/lunch counter/purified water distributer/sno cone & smoothie maker. Spreading themselves out like that you’d think one or more of their services would be sub par. Not so! Their bubble tea, both the smoothie & non-smoothie varieties are awesome! You can get the drinks with or without the tapioca but I definitely recommend that you try it with the tapioca, otherwise it’s just a smoothie and defeats the purpose of getting«bubble tea». They are also very accommodating if you want to leave out a flavor or substitute for something else. Their sandwiches are great as well. I agree with Kyle that the grilled pork is the best and you can’t beat the $ 3 price. I haven’t tried the sno cones, spring rolls, purified water or wireless products but a reliable source has vouched for their sno cones, spring rolls & purified water so I’ll definitely check that out as well. I like their promos like the frequent buyer cards for the drinks and the buy 3 get 1 free for their sandwiches. Finally, I love going in there and having the owner recognize me and remember that I was in there recently, sometimes twice in one day. You don’t get that kind of friendly service at larger establishments so I always appreciate it when I get it.

OK… There are many reasons why I love this place… 1. The bubble tea they have here is AWESOME!!! It is the only place I go to up north to get bubble tea!!! Momoko is good… But expensive, and all the way downtown… The amount you get at the tea house is more as well, about twice as much for less $!!! I would suggest the tropical awakening and ask to add raspberry with tapioca… MMMMMM so good!!! 2. The food… The food here is great and SUPER cheap… I can get a grilled pork sandwich or a special combo with 3 different kind of meats for less than 4 bux… The jalapenos and carrots go great together!!! I love the sweet and hot taste it gives the sandwich… Also they have GREAT spring rolls for less than $ 3… I would suggest the special combo or the grilled pork! 4. They also have great sno cones for the summer time!!! Real soft Ice… You can add up to 3 flavors for the same price… 5. They also have good water there… 30 cents a gallon is great for reverse osmosis purified water, and we all know that the city water is horrible in Pflugerville & Round Rock… Promotions: They have great promotions… Right now they have buy 3 sandwiches get one free… Also with the drinks they have a punch card for frequent buyers… End of story… This place is Great, and cheap as well! I have kept this place a secret for long enough and it is time for them to have the recognition they deserve…
