Confused about why it’s called Fusion Seafood herebut the restaurant is called D Phở & Crawfish… Anyway, came for dinner on a Monday night with a few girlfriends. The location wasn’t busy and we were seated right away. Interior décor is nothing to write home about, but for the prices and food style I’m not mad about it. The service was good and the steak phở was good. Seafood prices seemed reasonable but I did not actually try any. Will have to update this review once I have the chance to get crawfish and crab legs! Seems worth trying again!

Been where twice and the food is okay. Guy showed me how to properly eat crawfish.

Saw this place had finally opened since their sign has been up for a couple of months while remodelling. Went there during lunch on a weekday. Their menu seemed split about 50 – 50 between Cajun and Vietnamese. They had about a half dozen choices each of phở, bun, and fried rice. I had their phở with flank steak and meatballs. It was decent, but not outstanding. The beef stock was fairly mild, even after adding hosin and sriracha. Their café sua da came premixed. I prefer the places that have it in a French press, so you can brew to your desired strength. I may come back to try some of their Cajun dishes, but for phở there are better places within 15 mins.

Food is delicious. The seafood has some of the best flavor. Worth a try, Phở seafood opening has moved up on the service scale as well.

The phở here is basically the best kept secret since Roswell. What makes a Phở place so great? Tough question. One of those hot topics you try to avoid. Religion, Politics & Phở. I basically go by what fits our needs, our experiences of both bad/great phở, and our working idea of making it at home. The best way to find out is asking(if you can). Now I don’t mean«wow, your phở is great what’s in it?» More of a…“that was really good… it tastes just like how my family makes it… is this how you make it for yours?” approach. I had a lengthy conversation with both owners to dispel the reasoning behind why the #47 Phở I ordered was this good. She simply explained that they make a certain pot/# of batches for the day and that’s it. When its out, its out. A marvel idea for some, but it makes so much sense for the broth being fresh, clean, and not cloudy from being frozen into hockey pucks days before to serve.(Some places… you be surprised). The MSG question is the biggest selling point to make or break a Phở place for us. Many will have it, you’ll just know if they put too much of it in. To this day, some bowls get past us. Heart to heart, she’d never use it for her family, nor will ever use at their business. — - — - - The bowl: Good sized/proportions Broth: Wow, little fatty from the bones but great flavor from it. Does not leave you with that«heaviness-feeling». I honestly think it was better than my mom’s. She substitutes sugar/rock sugar? instead of MSG so it’ll have a more soft-sweeten flavor to it. Ingredients were really balanced and sometimes some places go overboard with the star anise or even too much ginger. I didn’t ask but supposedly mixing chicken bones with the beef-driven broth comes out amazing… guess we’ll never know. Garnishes: A rule of thumb my mom and I do is sampling the broth before adding anything. Can it stand alone as great without the hoisin, sriracha etc. And it really did. I still give it the works like lime and the hot stuff. But the importance of the bowl is with the veggie garnishes in my opinion. Everyone will have their own combo of sprouts for the crunch or leafy/soapy aftertaste of the cilantro. I enjoy tearing some of the basil and if they have it, the culantro(ngo gai) like my dad. Most of my friends are unfamiliar and will replace it with cilantro. However, if you ever see this semi-thorny herb as a garnish definitely give it a go. My dad always describes it as having a better smell than cilantro but with a bigger taste. More earthy I suppose? Again, whatever your preferences are. All the veggies there were brightly fresh and plenty so that made me really happy. — - — - - The heart to heart really helped me learn more about them bringing their style from Houston and sacrificing a lot to support their kids in school. Not the American dream, but certainly the true American story we all know. Will certainly be back. ***Heads up, its on the same street as Red’s Indoor range. Also, they bought out the Moonies burger house on that street and will be relocating/revamping in 2 weeks with a new name. Same menu, perhaps more. «Circle D Phở & Crawfish» is the working name. So be on the lookout. Finally found a great phở place that works for me and the family.

Delicious Crawfish! We ordered 5lbs of mild yummy Crawfish with sausage, potatoes and corn. Not only were they big and cooked well but also juicy and flavorful! Most Cajun places tend to overdo on either the salt, spices, or butter but this place had the winning combination of all three. This is a great place to stop by if you live in Pflugerville or if you’re nearby. I would recommend at least two pounds for two people because the shells do add some weight. I also ordered a gumbo but that was just okay… I felt that it had way too much rice and not enough of the other ingredients(where’s the Andouille sausage or okra?) Didn’t even taste like soup… more like gumbo flavored rice with side of Shrimp. Pass on the gumbo. We want to try some of the oysters and King crab sometime but only had room for Crawfish and didn’t have time to stay for dine-in. Overall, very fresh and I can’t wait to go back.

Pick up order… A little scared when I first pulled up. Seeing that there was no one there for late lunch. I proceeded to walk through a kind of funky, hole in the wall. Got home to find a beautiful arrangement of ingredients to make my own phở steak soup. I was pleasantly surprised. Fried crab cakes weren’t all that great but still better the HEB’s pre made ones.

Probably the WORST food I have ever ordered and I will never return. For $ 27, I got a pound of crab legs and a meatball phở. I wanted only meatballs because I am pregnant and can’t eat raw meat, but I open the box and there’s nothing but cold, raw steak slices so I ate just the broth.(The raw meat had touched everything so everything it touched had to be discarded.) The crab legs were the worst I’ve ever had. I love crab legs and normally order from the Crawfish Shack(which I highly recommend) but they were closed. The crab legs tasted like nothing at all, even though they were covered in some type of salt. I will never be returning to this place. Ever.

The crawfish were good but size was hit or miss, a lot of small ones. However, the seasoning was on point.

I have this place a 5 based on food, customer service, and the friendly environment. We came in 30 mins before closing but felt no pressure from the owner of wanting us to leave. Between 3 of us, we ate 6lbs of crawfish, 5 lbs of shrimps, and 2 lbs of crabs. It was delicious. P. S. that 9 yr old«server» is the owners daughter. Such a cute kid. Shes really mature for her age. She even showed us her crayon schedule that she made. As parents, business owner, taking kids to your work place is very common. To her, its fun like playing tea house or cooking for her barbies. Just wanna clear that. Dont want future patrons to shun a good place to eat base on speculation.

My friend took me to this new gem around the corner from her house and it’s by far, the best dang crawfish in Austin Texas!!! Trust me, we are crawfish queens! I think they just recently opened but definitely should stayyyyyy open! They offer Vietnamese dishes too like phở etc etc… and if I’m not mistaken, they deliver also. Good deal!

AMAZING crawfish, very big and somehow none of the tails where uncurled. Never seen a resteraunt pull the dead ones. when we went they where packed day 2 and they did expect it. All these people complaining about the staff are just being jerks. The owner said he did zero advertising so was not prepaired for the 30 customer stampeed that kept hitting them. Its not their fault they had to call in family to help so obviously they dont know the menu or know how to take orders. Be nice and keep it about the food till they are fully staffed.

I know this place is new but they really need to improve a lot of things. For one, the waitress doesn’t have any knowledge of the menu, it literally took us 15 minutes for our water & tea and there was only 4 tables she was serving. I can only imagine what she would forget if there were a full house. Everything we ordered was very bland. 2 lbs of Cajun crawfish, 2 lbs of garlic butter crawfish and the Fusion Combo which consists of fried fish, fried oysters, crab and French fries. The only thing we ate that had flavor was the fries! Would def not be coming back anytime soon.

I really wanted to like the place, but I just have to say that they need some direction. Especially because Crawfish shack is only down Wells Branch, basically its almost the same idea. However, when the waitress doesn’t speak, not that she didn’t speak english, she just didn’t speak, you have a hard time confirming your order. I got two pounds of crawfish, which came with two small pieces of sausage, no potato, and a still frozen-in-the-middle corn on the cob. The crawfish were not cold but flavor was lackluster, difficult to eat. I would probaly give them a couple of months to get it right before I try them again, and especially spending $ 100 for three people.

We decided to try them out on 4÷19÷15 since they are close by and we love seafood. It’s not fancy or anything, average strip mall décor and it wasn’t very busy. A server came over within a few minutes and brought a menu and asked what we wanted. Hubby told him we would have to check it out first, but to bring us some water first. Hubby chose the fried seafood platter, I chose crab legs and our son chose vermicelli. The waiter advised us that they didn’t have any vermicelli and to get the shrimp fried rice instead. Son was disappointed since he loves vermicelli, but he enjoyed the rice and an order of eggrolls. I would have given them a higher rating except if: Better beer selection Add wine to the selection Update the restroom so that paper towel dispenser and soap dispensers installed on the walls work(I don’t like to touch the paper towel roll on the sink or use the pump) Post the current market prices for the seafood They have room to grow and get better and I hope they do. Everything they served was well prepared, just needs a little tweeking on the service and details.

This was the best crawfish in town. The manager was friendly and the food was served hot and well seasoned. I also tried the fried shrimp and they were delish. I will definitely be going back often.

So many restaurants open and close in the area on an almost daily basis, it’s becoming difficult to keep up. More often than not, these«chefs» are«redefining» one sort of cuisine or another and fail miserably. Cooks today are so busy trying to re-re-reinvent the wheel, that they forget that sometimes the best approach is the simplest approach. Getting back to basics and embracing the simplicity just isn’t sexy for all the newly self-proclaimed«chefs». Just graduating from culinary school doesn’t make you a chef… it just means you were willing to give someone a bunch of money for a skill you either already had or will never have. Fusion Seafood doesn’t use bells and whistles. They don’t try to reinvent food. They don’t take a perfectly good style of food and simple ingredients and try to turn them into something unrecognizable and charge you a months mortgage. They keep it simple. And in their simplicity lies the quality. This is a simple seafood boil joint. Fresh crawfish, cooked to order and served piping hot. Order by the pound and select your seasoning. Garlic butter, lemon pepper, and Cajun… spicy or mild… are your choices. We went with 2 lbs of spicy and 1 lb of mild. The spicy is hot enough to turn your lips red and get a few beads of sweat rolling down your forehead, but not so hot as to cover the sweet flavor of the crawfish. Sizes vary from mutant to lil’ ones, but each one yielded a reasonable amount of tail meat, claw meat, and head ‘fat’. We also ordered a dozen grilled oysters. They were fresh and plump. Grilled just enough to barely warm them through, but not dry them out or overcook. They were perfectly briny and well above market size.(Market size typically being about 3 inches) The owner is friendly and talkative. The staff is efficient. The space is simple and clean. Beer selection is a bit sad, but this is just 10 days after opening. The menu also includes a small variety of Vietnamese items, Po’ Boys, gumbo, and fried seafood platters. Prices are well within the market standards. All in all, Fusion Seafood is a great addition to the area. I look forward to going back and watching them grow in popularity. Hopefully the beer selection will follow suit.

Some of the best oysters I’ve ever eaten. It’s a new place with reasonable prices and friendly people. Reminds me of a place in New Orleans under the bridge. Looking forward to the boiling seafood options and the phở.
