If I could give it 0 stars I would. Worst use of precious holiday time and money. Spent over an hour in line before even getting to pay booth. Lights are the worst quality with zero artistic influence. And to think you have to pay for it even if you live in Round Rock. Should be called«Trashy, crappy drive thru light«display» «. Round Rock should be able to do much better with the taxes that we pay.

This is terrible It’s been an hour and I’m not even half way through The Ferris wheel is at the end and it doesn’t seem to get any closer Heed my warning no one wants to spend this kind of time in a car looking at crummy Christmas lights Yes some of them move but mostly it’s like lights from 40 years ago If you have small children I’m sorry this would be miserable. This is like if 35 in rush hour put up lights to make traffic fun, it still wouldn’t be. Not worth $ 15, not worth $ 5 just want out

Below letter to city managers is my original review. A second issue today as Christmas came closer. Besides the letter, as you can see from other people’s pictures, the lights is not impressive at all. $ 15 is too much. You’re better off going to some guy’s house that has it decorated nicely, I’m not exaggerating. The neighborhood lights are 100 times better. These lights are prob the same as they were from the 80’s, it’s almost comical cars would line up for hours to see it. Today on the way home on Old Setters(entrance street), the line wrapped around for like 3 miles. You are moving at snail pace. I cant believe people would willingly pay $ 15 to line up for this. You couldnt pay me $ 300 to go see it, I’m not joking. I think I have better use of my 4 hours than to sit in the car.brake.gas.brake.gas…etc and cause pollution to the environment. ================================================================= Hi Round Rock Admin, I’m writing to let you know on Dec 4th, my family and I drove through the RockNLights. What should have taken 15 – 20 mins for a mile or so stretch of watching lights, we were stuck for 2 hours. We were given no warning that there was a problem when we went in. Its hard to believe that the front gate personnel did not know. After 45 mins, I finally called 911 to report the issue and the operator said they were aware of it. But there was nothing done to improve. When we finally got to the end, it was very obvious what the issue was. They blocked off Harrell street that exits to 79. There was a carnival and everyone had to go through the carnival(Dell) Diamond parking lot, even the folks that was simply wanting to go through the lights. There was no reason to block Harrell street. It looked like there was some small activity/gathering like a band or something. They should have been told to move or cancel as it was clearly blocking traffic. The crew directing traffic didn’t have a care in the world we all were stuck. I recently move to Round Rock and just drove through to be supportive, but of course, neither I or anyone of the other cars stuck that day will likely drive through there again. I don’t know how the city project managers did not plan for this. Even traffic police should have done something as it was happening. Nothing was done. We had to slowly wait as carnival goers merged with the line to leave. I strongly believe someone needs to be held accountable.

Disappointed. 1 hour wait just to get up to the booth to pay. Mediocre lights with only half that had anything to do with Christmas. Tiny carnival at the end with 2 games and no petting zoo like the flyer said. Not worth $ 15 or your time. Merry Christmas!

Loved Rock N Lights in round rock. They had several themes. They get plenty of traffic so come prepared for what is a pretty long drive through. It was worth the 15 bucks, kids truly enjoyed it.

This was my first visit to this third annual event. It features a mile and a half drive thru light display with over 2 million lights. That’s a lot of lights! Enter off of Old Settler’s and exit onto 79 by the Salt Lick. It took us one hour and 25 minutes to get to the ticket booth! Yes, we all had to pee. Like real bad. I almost jumped out of the car and used one of the road cones for shielding. Luckily they had some(4ish) port-o-potties once you got inside. That area is kinda dark though. Bring a flashlight. Maybe some snacks? Bring the dog and the kiddo’s. Kids are gonna love this. The trail was cutely themed with a reminder of celebration to preparation to dinner time with dessert to Santa’s Coal Mine to the North Pole Rodeo. It was all cute and made me wish I had some kids in my car so I could vibe off of their excitement. My favorite part was the end light tunnel. It was fully lit and would do the roving flashing thing every once in awhile. Unfortunately we got stuck with the steady on feature. Which really sucked because I wanted to experience the roving flash. There’s a little Christmas Town at the end, so be sure to park and check it out. More lights, petting zoo, and little carnival. Also some food. Take the kids, they will talk about this for a long time. Good for Round Rock to bring in their own originality. Was this worth all the effort and the $ 15? Sure, why not? Is it four star worthy? Not really, but, one star for bringing attention to ‘da Rizzle. This is year three, hopefully, they will continue to grow and improve.
