I have never been so disappointed in a practice. Not only the actually facility (rather worn down and out dated) but also with the staff. Unfortunately I broke my leg and the emergency room referred me to the practice and I need surgery rather quickly. I couldn’t even meet my surgeon before my surgery. And once again he was to busy even for a follow up. Had to see PA both times. They handled pain meds as if I was asking for Heroin which I find incredibly offensive. They did not return calls in a timely matter and questions were not answered professionally. I would never recommend theses doctors or this practice. I realize breaking a leg and surgery is never good. But they completely blew me off after my surgery. I am now 6 weeks behind with rehab (10 weeks out and can not straighten my leg) and I had to find another orthopedic surgeon. Disappointed isn’t a strong enough word for Dr. PARELLA OR HIS PA KYLE.

YOU WON’T SEE THE DOCTOR — I made an appointment to see Dr. Putney for a knee injury and after 30 min. in the waiting room and another 30 min. in the exam room I finally saw his P.A. Terry, who did a brief exam and ordered an X-​ray. Dr. Putney stopped by long enough tell me he was ordering an MRI and then he was gone. After the MRI, I specifically made an appointment to see Dr. Putney, and not his P.A., to get the results. I was once again visited by his P.A. Terry who walks in and tells me I have a torn ACL and we’re going to fit you for a brace. This P.A.s bedside manner was terrible! The way in which he communicated the diagnosis was rushed and lacked any sense of care or compassion. To make matters worse, when I asked about seeing Dr. Putney I was told that he was in surgery and wouldn’t be able to see me, despite seeing him in the hallway while I was in the exam room and at his desk as I walked out toward the waiting room. Upon leaving, I asked the receptionist if Dr. Putney was in surgery and she said, «No, he’s not. He should be available.»

I saw Dr. Putney and his staff for some foot and knee issues. I found everyone in the office to be way on top of their game! I accidentally had gotten my appointment time wrong and they still squeezed me in as the last patient of the day. I really appreciated that, since I live in central Austin and had driven all the way over there to find out I messed up my appointment time. You also fill out all forms prior to arrival, so that saves time upon getting there.
Once in the office, I discussed my issues with an assistant and then a PA, so when Dr. Putney came in, he was all filled in and could nail down a diagnosis. He gave me some pointers on how to help my heel pain, which I can already tell is helpful. Originally, I had gone to a podiatrist, but since I also had a knee injury, I should have started here first.
Their office was very busy, but that did not cut down on the time I spent with the professionals in their office. I would recommend highly.

Dr Putneys, his PA (Terry) .therapist (Brad Thorne) .and his entire staff may be best in business. After trying others. Dr Putneys performed two major shoulder surgerys on me back to back, am absolutely thrilled with results. Last surgery was seven weeks ago and am totally pain free with excellent mobility and. range of motion. Couldn’t ask for a better crew.
