One of Round Rock’s «hidden gems.» They make their own spice and sauce blends. One of the best parts is walking into the store — it smells spicy and good! In addition to the spices and sauces they also sell Texas/chili pepper-themed foods and products. They make up gift baskets so it’s a great place to find and customize a unique gift.

I have driven past this place on an almost daily basis for the past few years and never ventured inside until today. In their very cute little general store, they have all kinds of dried herbs and spices for sale, herb mixes, whole bean coffee, tamales, soup mixes and dry mixes for pancakes, hush puppies and muffins. The prices were very reasonable. I bought the chicken enchilada soup mix and made up a pot when I got home. It was the perfect lunch for a rainy Texas day. Most of their products seem to be made here in Texas except for the balsamic vinegar(Italy) and pistachios(New Mexico). Give it a try if you happen along Sam Bass. I did buy the tamales, $ 6 per dozen seems very reasonable to me. Yes, they are made in Fort Worth, but they are made here in Texas which still gets points from me.
