I visited Tiny Birds once when they were in their old location. My family and I enjoyed the store and the selection of items, but we found that the employee wasn’t very helpful. We had to go into the back of the store to find her when we were ready to check out. Well, I’m now pregnant, researching cloth diaper choices, and I remembered Tiny Birds. I took my mother-in-law to look at the store, and they had moved. I called to get directions to their new location and talked to the employee who seemed nice and helpful. We had a couple of other errands to run first, and we finally headed to Tiny Birds about 3:45pm. The lights were on and the sign on the door said they closed at 6pm, but the door was locked and no one was inside! We knocked and waited for 5 – 10 minutes, but no one ever came. So, we left. I know this is a small business, but if your sign says you’ll be open until 6pm, then you should be. From what we could see through the window, their new location is much smaller than their old location, and the selection seemed smaller as well. There were lots of boxes and trash sitting right outside the entrance, and the whole place seemed rather unkempt.

Yes, you have to go into this store with some knowledge of what you’re looking for before hand. They will help educate you a little, but if you are cloth diapering, know your options! They offer free cloth diapering classes with a very informed cloth diapering mama, so if you are new to CDing, then go to that before you start venturing into the store. Sometimes they do run out of items since they are selling both locally and online but if you follow them on facebook, they tell you when they are restocked. They also run sales pretty regularly. Honestly, there are very few local places to find the items that they sell so I appreciate the huge diversity of options that Tiny Birds supplies. The prices are comparable to what you will find online(since they also operate as an online shop and have to compete with other online retailers) but sometimes they are a tad more expensive. But you know what? I’ll pay the extra $ 1 or 2 to support a local business with a great mission. And you know what else? You can get local, organic, free range eggs here too!

This review is for online ordering only. I’ve been searching for Pixel Organics clothing for a baby shower gift. Not only did Tiny Birds Organics carry it, but there was also a 50% discount and free shipping. What a steal! I also placed a separate order for an Under the Nile item. Iliana was very timely with responding to my emails — to confirm item availability, combine shipping and shipment details. The package arrived in 3 days on the West Coast. Great service! I’ll definitely be doing more online shopping at this store in the future.

I have been shopping with Tiny Birds since they were in the tiny house off Sam Bass rd. I have always loved that I can buy organic healthy toys, clothes, etc for my kiddos, LOCALLY! I am proud to support a local business, run by a local mother. The staff has always been helpful and courteous. Every time I need a baby shower gift, I head straight over to Tiny Birds. There is a ton of quality toys to choose from, at varied prices. I stopped cloth diapering(because I am too lazy to do more laundry, with three kids under 5 yrs), but if I DID cloth diaper, I’d buy all my supplies at Tiny Birds too!

I was really disappointed in this place. It’s nice that they have lots of cloth diapering options(though the two times I’ve been in, they’ve been out of stock on a WHOLE bunch of stuff), and they have some cute toys and organic clothing. But most of it was WAY overpriced(though I guess most organic stuff generally is…) What disappointed me the most was the lack of service. I wasn’t expecting them to fall over their own feet to welcome me, but a «Hello, how are you, let me know if you have questions» would have been nice. And it REALLY would have been nice if the two women working had known maybe a teeny bit about the CD options. I asked a couple of questions about what some good overnight diapers would be, and the middle aged woman at the front desk didn’t even get up to see what I was talking about. I am NOT new to cloth diapering and I am fairly well informed, but yet she still rolled her eyes at me and acted incredibly annoyed that I was even bothering her with what I guess she thought was a stupid question. The girl that was in the back restocking stuff was absolutely useless, too. At least she was nice. The other woman was just incredibly rude. So bottom line is, if I want to be ignored and if I want to blindly buy CDs without knowing any specific info about them, I’ll purchase my supplies online, thanks.

Fabulous place for all things baby and toddler! First visited when they were in the little trailer down Sam Bass. Now in a new space with much more room. Very inviting. Excellent selection of cloth diapers, and lots of help if you are new to cloth diapering. Great assortment of Plan Toys, Educo, Playmobil and other natural/locally made items you won’t find anywhere else in town. Staff is friendly but seems to be on the phone a lot(I think they have an online store as well) so give yourself some time as it may take a while to get checked out with your goods. Worth the drive from Austin, especially now that Austin Baby is no longer in business.

What a surprise find in Round Rock! Glad I was traveling up north for work, but it is definitely worthy of a trip from Austin to check it out. I was drawn in by the cleanliness of the store and perused the fabulous organic clothes for quite some time before finding the motherload in the back. HOLYCLOTHDIAPERINGOPTIONS! I can tell they must do a great online business, but I found the sales person to be helpful and even offered me financial incentives to try these new brand of AIO’s diaper.(that’s All-in-One for you cloth diapering novices). Thumbs up. Will be going back to check out montessori toys when the time is right.

Love love love the cloth diapers! Amazing customer service! I’ve only purchased online and never been to the store. Free shipping! I had an issue with a diaper and Chris sent me a new one free of charge :) Highly recommend shopping here!

Organic toys, baby stuff, pregnancy/postpartum gear, breastfeeding supplies, glass baby bottles, and cloth diapers galore. There’s a great little play area in the back so you can shop while your children safely play. This place would be perfect if it were just a bit further south. They also have a great online store(currently with free shipping for orders over $ 25).
