Everything is always sticky in here. Dark lighting, lots of wood, lots of sportsball on TV. Cool looking outdoor patio. Weak $ 8 signature drinks. Daily specials and HH from 3 – 7. Takes 10 minutes to order b/c they either don’t have enough bartenders or the bartenders just suck. I refuse to eat the food so no comment there but looks like pretty standard bar fare. Not my favorite place, usually not even on my radar, but it’ll do in a pinch.

I’ve now been to this location twice. Both times were because of awful service at another restaurant. Once Twin Peaks then Hooters. This place has come to save the day not once but twice from terrible experience of places where they focus on how short the outfits can be indeed of guest service. Me and my buddies on 01÷11÷16 went to hooters to watch the National Championship game and they ran out of wings and gave terrible service so wasting a hour and a half there without ever receiving food we went to third base. This place was completely packed but as soon as we sat down we received excellent service and appetizer was out very quickly. As the rest of my buddies funneled in we moved to a bigger table and evertually the pool table keeping the same server the whole time and ordering either more food or drink every time we moved. All of our orders were very timely in getting to us and drinks never were empty. Our server did excellent in engaging in conversation while not overstaying and making other guest wait. Also she said it was her very FIRST day out of training although she had worked at bikinis prior she did very excellent, which makes me think the training staff is also great! I went to the bar to ask for five dollars in quarters to play pool and they were also great in taking care of me and had enough quarters which means the managers sets up their staff with enough change in the drawer to accomondate the guest. Everything about this place was spot on and I will be making this our new hang out.

Cool spot. One of the locals told me to come here and said it got pretty busy. Overall I like the setup. Plenty of bar games and my bartender was not bad on the eyes. The only girl bartender I mean. But overall very cool place. It’s the holidays so not very busy. Just had a beer and left.

I’ve been to Third base a handful of times since it is close to my job. Food has been great, and beer always ice cold which is nice. I always sit at the bar since I’m by myself and prefer the bar since typically you get quicker service. The majority times I have gone I’ve had very slow service. The bartenders would either be too busy taking inventory of bottles to realize I was sitting down, or too busy chatting with friends or coworkers. I hate writing a bad review but thought it should be noted. I’ve been told my co-workers that you get better service on the patio than at the bar. How is that possible? Would be a 5 star rating if service was better. I’m a busy person and don’t want to have to sit around all day waiting to order a drink or food. Also I think there should be more local Texas beer options. I saw a ton of domestic beers that are just run of the mill.

Food is okay, comparable to an Applebee’s or chili’s, they do have all the games on which is a bonus but the service is horrible; 15: minutes to be greeted and another 20 for beer.

Food here is delicious but service is constantly bad. Waiting 20 minutes to even see our waitress to put in a food order. Had to go to the bar to order a second beer. Coming from the service industry myself, I can’t comprehend how you don’t check on your table for 20+ minutes at a time, especially when it isn’t busy.

Just stopped in as stop #2 of girls happy hour. I got nuthin. Really. We ordered brownie dessert, it’s sucked & my heart hurt because of it. Oh well, the $ 5 kick ass Rita’s from Tortugas across the parking lot made up for it.

This review is for Bill the S***** manager that didnt care at all that I sat in a dirty seat and got food on both legs of my jeans.(Check the tips below for a pic of my freshly washed jeans with new food stains on them after my visit to this round rock location) PS now I know why they call this place TURDBASE

Great local sports bar! My wife and I have been here three times now. Looking at all the other reviews it appears that customer service is a hit or miss. I must say that all three times we had great friendly and knowledgeable service. Food is good in my experience but nothing great. I did like the fired pickles. Where this place kills it is the number of TVs for football Sunday and a great selection of local beers. Bonus for having a map showing what games are on what TVs when you walk in the door. I have tried a few of the other sports bars up north and keep coming back to third base. Thanks for the solid food, friendly service and great beer selection to go with Sunday Football.

Came here to draft for my fantasy football league and as soon as I walked in and sat down the bartender greeted me, asked what I was drinking and asked if I wanted a game on. Great service with a smile and she came back to check on me but was never pushy. Wifi connection was awesome. Food was slow to come out but I was not in a rush.

3 stars for the bar and TV’s. But I would not go here looking for great food. The food was just mediocre.

I don’t think I’ve ever rated a place without ordering food. But on this night, I didn’t need food. I needed football, and I wanted«interesting» beer. Believe it or not, this is a sports bar that has good beer! Choices! And I don’t mean Bud, Bud Light, Miller Lite, Coors Lite. REAL. BEER. CHOICES. In Texas. Brings a tear to my eye, I tell you!

I’ve been here on three separate occassions. It takes a while after sitting to get noticed, especially if a UT or Aggie football game is on because the whole place is packed. But even when empty, you’ll have to sit for 10 minutes or so before someone will ask if you need something. Food is reasonably priced. Standard American chain restaurant offerings. Beer selection is okay but you’re coming here to watch a game or hang out with a few friends so it’s not bad. I haven’t had a disappointing experience as of yet but it wouldn’t come to mind as a place to recommend to visitors.

To say the food is mediocre is a compliment. Come for the drinks, because it’s hard to mess up a cold beer. Do not order the mahi fish tacos and the buffalo chicken sandwich. Both proteins were cold and absolutely did not hit the spot. Service was pretty okay– pleasant and attentive but it would take a while to get their attention which is understandable because we went here to watch the NBA finals.

My favorite bar up north by far. The staff is friendly, professional and attentive. I always sit at the bar and the bartenders are very knowledgeable. Tell them to make you something of their choice and you will not be disappointed. Plenty of TV’s to watch sports on, and they usually play decent music. As for the food, I usually order apps, but I do miss the chicken and waffles, and to bring it back real old school, I miss those damn Philly rolls!!! Bring those mofos back! Prices are good here as well, good drink specials.

Great service. As always and food is consistent. The waitresses know me well that have been there I noticed w few things while here. There’s a group of two discount tire people here that come everyday. One girl sits and talks with them while busy a lot. I saw one put arm around girl and almost on her ass. She took it off but don’t think that’s appropriate.

I keep coming back here. It is close to where I live and it is really not that bad. I’ve learned to lower my expectations for some sort of spectacular service. I like going here because it is inexpensive, the people watching, and the millions(exaggeration) of TVs present. I’ve had some of everything on the menu. Fried pickles, sliders, tacos, fries, etc along with margaritas and other adult beverages. The food, to me is good. I’m not one of those people who analyzes every flavor of every bite… those people annoy the ish out of me(in case you care). I will keep coming back here as I do enjoy it. At some point I’d like to check out the other locations.

I like this place but only when it’s not too packed. Food is affordable and good beer is cold like ice chunks in it cold, girls that work there are cute. A shit load of TVs with sports on, what’s not to like about this place? If the place is packed it can be bit hard to hear everyone at your table. I would recommend a table on the patio.
