Everyone’s review is true to the point; Mr. Hsu and his wife aren’t doing this for money but for the education of students. He is the best physics teacher I’ve ever had. I rate this place ³¹⁰⁸⁄₅

Alpha Science, after going to many other tutoring places such as aci, is the best tutoring and teaching place in the area. Because of Ms. Helen and Mr. Hsu, my math skills have increased incredibly and am at the top of my math class. Despite the classroom always being around 70°, the teaching environment is warm and inviting. It really shows that both Mr. Hsu and Ms. Helen care and try to get to know about the students. Mr. Hsu’s teaching, compared to aci’s, is a million levels deeper and more advanced with special and memorable ways to remember formulas and techniques.

Wow! Jefferson’s clear and consistent mastery of language as demonstrated by his integration of academic vocabulary words into standard, everyday speech can only be a result of Alpha’s classes! His review is spot-​on!

Alpha science is a great place for SAT prep. They have a nice location near Stater Bros., Starbucks, McDonald’s, and more. There’s one day a week to take a practice test, and the rest of the days are used to review the test and teach concepts and skills in Reading, Writing, and Math. Because of this, there’s only four days of class instead of five like at other places, and its great to have a day off.
Michael only requires us to memorize around 50 words a week instead of the redundant 50 words a day at other places. This is not only less work for the students, but also makes it easier to actually understand and know the words. He explains reading and writing problems pretty well and cares about the students’ progress.
Mr. Xu is a real math master and while he can be hard to understand at times, it is really impressive to watch him fill up the chalkboard with a plethora of numbers and arrows in a matter of seconds. For whatever reason, the math class goes by faster than the other classes, so theres always extra time, time that Mr. Xu uses to give us magisterial advice not just about the SAT and college admissions, but also life in general.
Amber and Betty are really nice, the bathrooms are clean, and they put dryer sheets up on the walls so the room smells nice. However, the thermostat is usually set at either 69 or 70 degrees, so it can get cold if youre just wearing a tshirt and shorts. Although another review said the water is bad, it really isnt. The water is decent, more like kirkland or crystal geyser.

The teachers Mr. Xu and his wife Helen teach really well and they actually care about your future. They make everything there harder to make sure you do good in school and the way they teach prepares you for college. They also give good advice for college. They are best at teaching math and science. I go there for SAT class and I used to get about 600s on the math parts but I got an 800 when I took the real test.
The other two teachers for SAT are Evan (teaches reading) and Michael (writing). I think Michael is temporarily teaching both subjects for the summer but I’m not sure. Michael is kind of a pain in the ass but he’s pretty good. Evan’s class is a waste of time though. Holy damn. He wastes a lot of time getting off topic then near the end of class is when he finally finishes reading all the answers to the test. It’s so frustrating. I’m glad Michael teaches reading now, he actually helps us find out where the answer is and clearly explains it.
Also the classrooms are very cold so bring a jacket.

I been to some other tutor places, those teachers doesn’t give a damn of what i do in class, whether i did my homework or what~
it was chill~ but i kinda really needed to improve my grades!
