Normally I have a pretty good experience here, but the last time I came it was pretty bad! I’ll tell you why! We were craving dessert and Class 302 was open late at night and they have great shaved ice! We had about 7 people the restaurant was near empty and I saw them setting up tables for us great! I go get my friends and I come to the door and the tables are separated again! We tell them we are all here and there is enough room for us 7. They set up the tables again in the same form from earlier! We order various dishes, beef stew, popcorn chicken, sweet potato fries, fish cake and 2 shaved ice. We weren’t sure if we should order dessert now or later, the waitress said it was OKAY to order now and bring it out at the end of the meal. Great! Sounds awesome to me. Beef stew comes out and it was WAY too salty. We just ate the meat and gave it back with the whole bowl of soup still there. Next dish comes out! The shaved ice. What the heck we agreed for it to come out last! We just accepted it anyways. Then the rest came out and along with the 2nd shaved ice! What gives! We had to eat the hot food before it got cold and before the shaved ice melted so it was a clash in our mouth from hot to cold. Normally my favorite place to get shaved ice, but after this experience not so much… Please don’t order shaved ice until AFTER your done eating your food, even though they say they will bring it out last. Service could use some work, I don’t expect much from an asian restaurant either.

This is an okay place for some snow shaved ice. The place itself is kind of dingy and unhygienic. There is parking lot parking, and there’s always parking whenever I go here. Red bean shaved ice: This shaved ice comes with red bean and some rice balls. It’s drenched in condensed milk, and overly sweet. Service: The service here was good. All the workers are friendly and speak Chinese.

Got here at 1145pm when they close at midnight and was told they do not take any orders… –__-« What’s the point of having an open sign on then?

Finally a place where they serve a boba tea that fits my hands — a 6’2″ big bearded Asian dude. The cup actually looks normal in my hand here. Quantity does meet quality here. The boba tea was sweet but not super sweet. The boba was nice and chewy for the life of the drink. The tea: boba ratio was good because at the end, I wasn’t just drinking milk tea. And the new strawberry shaved ice was really good as well. Plus they brought out extra strawberries and strawberry purée for additional strawberrying. The ice is creamy, almost tastes like yogurt. Not as flaky and some of the other places, but still pretty good. You start digging through the mountain when you strike gold — chocolate pudding that has been frozen inside. It felt weird at first, but by the end, I wanted more pudding. It just works for some reason. I wish I wasn’t so full because I would’ve tried some of their food. Be warned! (1) CASHONLY, so come ready. (2) Space is VERY limited. It looks like a classroom(get it? Class 302? haha… ha…heh… ok), but the space is tight so definitely not for big groups. And despite the monstrosities that they serve, the chairs are tiny… like you have to ½ to ¾ cheek it in the chair. But still an enjoyable experience. This is a class that you won’t skip.

Oh class 302, how I use to love you. The way your food made me feel like I was in Taiwan. But I think it’s time we take a break… 3 stars for quick service, but 2.5 stars for the food. I used to come here all the time, to get shaved ice or just a quick bite to eat. But coming back here again just reminding me why I don’t come here anymore. Looking for a quick bite to eat on a week night in January, we ordered ground pork over rice, shredded chicken over rice and bitter melon and rib soup. So let me get the bad out of the way… Ground pork over rice. So disappointing! The ground pork itself was extremely salty. It was almost the same as eating a spoonful of salt… Having the rice there didn’t help either. I don’t know what else to say about this except, salty, salty, and yes, salty. Needless to say, I didn’t even eat it. Next the shredded chicken over rice. Now, this was delicious! The chicken was tender and full of flavor. The rice had some of that chicken oil flavor which brought me back to the ones I used to get in Taiwan. Definitely would recommend this one! The bitter melon and rib soup, was simple but all the flavors were there. I’ve gotten this a couple times now and it has very consistent flavoring. Very light and easy on the tastebuds(if you like bitter melon)! Yes, I’m sad about this place. But I think I need a break from this place… Maybe just until summer time so I can come back for that mango shaved ice heh!

Pros: –in my opinion, they have the best shaved ice in the Rowland Heights area. The portions are large(good for 2 – 4 people) and fairly priced. My go to combination is the mango shaved ice with condensed milk, mango chunks, and huge mochi pieces. –their drinks are relatively good too Cons: –the food is alriiight. Most of the items are extremely bland. Since their entrees come in rather large portions, I recommend sharing or just ordering a couple appetizers. –inconsistent service. While the waiters are mostly friendly, the woman who works the cash registers is really rude. Also, we were never offered any drinks or water. What’s up with that? –they literally kick you out when you finish with your food. So you can’t just sit there, chill, and talk with your friends unless you really chowing down. –small, tiny space. Not ideal for larger groups. –cash only

Tries to be cute, but it’s impossible given how little square footage this place has. This place would be better served and feel less grimy if they changed the desks and chairs to something more modern and easier to clean. Nobody comes here for their theme, anyway. The thing to get here seems to be the snow, even when it’s cold AF. I’m a wimp and got their hot Japanese green tea, which was lovely. Their popcorn chicken was terrible, though. So dry and flavorless that we declined their offer for a to-go box. In sum, come here for their drinks and snow, don’t stay because they kick you out after 2 hours.

The best and go-to place for shaved snow. The place is small, and there is almost always a wait. The service is okay, but this is the first place to serve shaved snow, and they are still top of the biz. My favorite toppings include: mango, strawberry, and egg PUDDING! BUTTTT here is the highlight. Popcorn chicken, sprinkled with PLUMSPICE! My friends and I ordered the sweet potato fries(comes with plum spice) and the popcorn chicken. But lo-and-behold, the popcorn chicken is amazing sprinkled with the plum spice.(Ask for extra on the side). If Class 302 starts making big bucks off plum spice, popcorn chicken. Please commission me because I came up with this first.

Remember here is CASH only. More like a 3.5 star place. Tiny cute Taiwanese restaurant. I heard great review from my friend about here. Certain dishes satisfied me, but not all of them. The restaurant is decorated with classroom style furniture, quite neat. We ordered Golden Mango shaved ice. It’s HUGE. I think you need 3 – 4 people to finish it. The flavor is just OK. I would expect more mango than just a huge bowl of ice. The mango on top is frozen or canned. The texture of the mango is a bit wired. 盐酥鸡, which is a fried, cubed chicken is pretty! For the dishes I tried there, this is the most authentic one. In Taiwan, they would make the cube a bit bigger, but the flavor is the same. The fried stinky tofu is not good. True Taiwan style should have much better sauce, which is the essence of this dish. But their sauce is a disappointment. We also order the Taiwanese Railroad food box and crispy rib food box. It’s not the same as what you can get in Taiwan, but the food is not bad. Overall, it’s a OK place. It has some perks, but the food doesn’t meet my expectation.

Back when Class 302 was(what seemed like) the only place you could get shaved snow, this place was UNCOMFORTABLY popular… and i’m here to tell you that ITSTILLIS! Or maybe it just seems like it. Because the inside is still ridiculously small(~10 tables), the table and chairs are still sticky and rickety, and the service is still disproportionately slow for how small the space is. I came on a weeknight around 11pm with a friend when it was ~45 degrees Fahrenheit for some shaved snow — you can hold off calling me crazy because there were around 5 other parties waiting too! SoCal knows no chill. We ordered the Summer Farm snow substituted with mango snow instead of condensed milk snow. It was as good as it’s always been — creamy, smooth layered clouds of icy goodness. I also like that they allow substitutions without charging you extra! THEVERDICT? The shaved snow is still amazing, but the cramped quarters and overall ambiance are enough to deter me from returning anytime soon(at least not until it heats up again!)

CASHONLY Come here on during the weekdays to avoid waiting! Super cute interior with it looking like a classroom hence the name. My first time trying this place was a few years back and somehow I forgot how good the shaved ice is. My favorite would be the Summer Farm shaved ice. Add a side of grass jelly and you’re good to go. Grapefruit green tea is also really refreshing because it’s FRESH. I also tried their spicy pork bone noodle soup with crispy pork chop and it’s not bad at all. It gets spicier the more you eat it! You’re pretty much left alone once you order and get your food but I don’t mind it as long as the food comes out quick!

I have been to class 302 in Taiwan and I was super excited to know there is one in City of Industry. Came here for lunch with my coworkers and friends two times in a row. Small little restaurant themed like a little classroom. The tables are classroom desks. The waitress here were a bit pushy due to the lunch hour crowd. Food I tried stinky tofu, braised pork chop railroad bento box, plum sweet potato fries and squid potage noodle soup. The stinky tofu was not that smelly but I don’t hate it. It was juicy and crispy. The picked cabbage in stinky tofu dish was refreshing. Braise pork chop was great and had so much flavor in it. I usually love railroad bento because it reminds me so much back to Taiwan. Fries were okay but a little bit too greasy for me, My favorite was their squid potage soup. The soup had so much flavor and included a lot of veggies(radish, cabbage and onions) I suggest to add some dark vinegar to bring up the flavor. I would not mind to come back here. However this place was a little bit confusing for me to find by following the GPS because Nogales st was closed. I suggest to find the 99 ranch around there and you will see class 302. This place is cash only too!

Small cash only Taiwanese café, with a classroom theme. Came here at 10pm, but was still a bunch of people in line waiting. The place is open until midnight. Came here for their snow shaved ice. The portions of snow ice are huge, easily 2 or 3 times the size of most other places’s large size, and each one is reasonably priced at $ 8 each. More than enough for 4 people. However, the ratio of toppings to snow ice is a little low. You can either get their premade selections, or create your own by choosing your base snow ice flavor and toppings. GREAT * Mango — Strong sweet mango flavor, clearly the best snow flavor. GOOD * Honey Boba — The milk snow didn’t have very much flavor, just creamy snow. But it paired well with the sweet honey boba topping. * Green Tea Red Bean — The green tea flavor was a little weak, but still tasty.

Over the years, Class 302 still has the best snow in the area. Mango Snow No matter what flavor snow you get, it’s always good. The restaurant is a bit small, so expect a wait. It’s also not the cleanest restaurant, so be warned. CASHONLY.

The shaved snow ice is the only reason to go here. The consistency of the shaved snow is the same all throughout and has a great snow to fruit/topping ratio. Ever been to those places where they skimp out on the toppings? Not so much here. The only reason why I gave this location three stars is because there’s literally no parking space, the service is pretty slow especially how small this place is, and the fact that they only allow you to use cash is kind of a bummer. Oh and it’s $ 3 minimum purchase per person. I’ve also had food here previously but it’s not quite memorable. Maybe if your craving something small to try out but the dessert option is solid and you can’t go wrong with. If it’s too crowded, I’d recommend taking things to-go.

I love the bento boxes here. I came here because I had an excellent one at the Irvine location a few weeks back. I ordered the crispy chicken leg bento box this time around. I was sad to find that they switch the vegetables every day :(The first bento box I had had corn, cabbage and something else in it. This time it had tomatoes and egg, cabbage and yams. The crispy chicken leg was just mediocre, nothing too special. The rice with ground pork and pickles always hit the spot for me. Maybe next time I will just order the ground pork over rice dish since I am a huge veggie fan. We finished off dinner with a #5 Summer Farm snow with green tea snow instead of milk snow. They were stingy on the condensed milk and we had to ask for more(it is free!). The fruits weren’t fresh. The honeydew came out white instead of green. The mangoes were canned. The snow was more icy than snowy if you know what I mean. It was more piecey than ribbony. It was so huge – we weren’t able to finish it after dinner. They also allow you to make your own snow for $ 8.75. You get to choose a flavor and up to 4 toppings! Very pricy but a good pick me up after a long day :)

Nom nom Taiwanese shaved ice! A wonderful Tuesday afternoon was spent with my mommy eating delicious Taiwanese shaved ice. The portions are huge! Though since it’s only flavored shaved ice, which is essentially frozen flavored water, I’m not so sure the $ 8.95 to make your own is really the best bang for your buck. But we don’t do it often so eh, when in Rome. We ordered the green tea shaved snow with taro, grass jelly, aiyu, and red bean. The red bean was incredibly oversweetened, so I wasn’t a fan. Taro was good, but I think it’s frozen taro so it wasn’t as soft or cooked as I would’ve liked. The grass jelly and aiyu were just large slabs, which to me is kind of lazy, since most other places are cubed or at least in smaller pieces so it’s easier to scoop up. The green tea shaved snow with some condensed milk tasted delicious and was my favorite part. I’ll probably be back in the future, but won’t go out of my way to come here.
