When you think boba you think black blobs right. Well they trick you and put seeds in there inatead. The food is ok but the dumplings taste like that came from the 99 cent store down the street. The peach shaved ice tea is to die for

I don’t know why i keep coming here. It’s not good. I ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee, and it just tasted terrible. It tasted like I was drinking straight high fructose corn syrup. I asked them if they could lighten it up, so they added more coffee, which made it way too bitter. It was like tasting those little papers your science teacher gave you in 7^th grade as an experiment. I eventually asked for a refund, which i’m pretty sure the workers hate me now (i’m sorry!!) The fries are good though. I tried my friends Boba Milk Tea, and the boba is too soft. It’s pretty flavorless too. Not the nice and sweet flavor. It’s like bland agar. Call me picky but… most of the asian tea places i’ve been to have consistent quality in their drinks. Don’t come here expecting great delicious drinks, come here for that occasional artificial and sugary craving. A lot of people seem to like that, but i don’t personally.

I came here one late night because they were the only place close to me that closed at 2am & I had a craving for a jasmine milk tea (my fav). Unfortunately they had run out of boba at the time so I had a jasmine milk tea with milk pudding & it was really good! I came back a few days later because I HAD to try their boba but I was so disappointed): the boba tasted like it had been refrigerated and it was so hard & not enjoyable at all… I didn’t even finish my drink because the boba was that bad! Im hoping it was just a bad day for them but who knows??? Since the boba is the main reason why I decided to try this place out, I’m not sure I will be returning. which is too bad because their tea and pudding was really good! one star knocked off because of the quality of the boba.

Had a late night craving slushies or boba and found this place, open until 2? Hell yeah! Menu was small but a bit confusing, but boyfriend I figured it out. They have snacks: popcorn chicken, potstickers, dumplings, etc. Signature slushies, milk teas (lattes in there menu), teas, coffee, and yogurt snows and other stuff. Order your drink and don’t forget to order add-​ons like I did as they are not on the same page. (In hindsight) for a place open til 2, I’m pleased, satisfied, and sleepy and will be back for my late night boba runs. :P oh! 6% off if pay by cash and 10% off check-​in on Unilocal.Now excuse me while I try not to have a brain freeze finishing this Mango Me!

My friends and I came here for some drinks after dim sum. This is a pretty cute café as there are plenty of tables and chairs for gatherings and even board games.
We ordered so many drinks, but the one that I got was the Rainbow Tea, which comes with strawberry, peach, mango along with basil seeds. The drink was pretty refreshing and price was reasonable.
Credit cards accepted. Plenty of parking outside.

Let’s start this off by the cons.
It is super small and squished and its really quiet. I was nervous to even speak in there. It did get better when a group of teens came in to lighten the mood. Another is that the area seems weird. It’s like by itself and has the model of a gas station. The bathrooms are also outside.
Now pros
Their drive thru is really cool if you just wanna get a quick boba without getting out of your car. Their food is good and their drinks. I really like their fries. If you ever go there I HIGHLY recommend their fries. Get their goddamn fries.

This place is consistently good and the drive-​thru makes a quick boba stop even easier. I’ve tried a number of their drinks and think their boba is always better than elsewhere. By boba I mean the tapioca balls. In fact, I might even say it’s the best boba that I’ve found around– chewy but soft and fresh. Some places make their boba too soft and structureless and yet they’re rated so highly so everyone must have their own boba preferences. They’re also open until 2am and while I’ve never been there that late (and I’ve never been inside), it’s such a great hang-​out option for people in the area who need it. I would give five stars but here are the reasons I held back a star:
1. When I order both lychee jelly and boba additions to my teas, they both cost an extra 45 cents but seem to provide only half at each. The amount they give feels skimpy to other places. Yet, I will say that even though they’re sparing, the drink still feels balanced. A few more bobas though wouldn’t hurt.
2. My experience with service depends on the person taking my order. All friendly but some new people who feel a little green to the business.
3. They should have a frequency reward. Maybe they do but they should make sure customers know about it if they do. I’m very willing to be a regular customer when I’m in the area with these little things.
Tips:
— Teas always come with basil seeds so if you don’t want them you have to ask them in advance to leave them out. And it will feel like it was your fault for not knowing. I found it the hard way but only after the second time buying the same exact drink. With all the allergies out there these days and the fact that some people just don’t like those seeds, they should let customers know in advance so they can leave the seeds out of their order if they want to.
— They have a «twin for $ 1» deal– buy two of the same drink and the second is only $ 1. It’s a great business idea they should keep.

This place is pretty good.
They’ve got a good selection of teas, milk teas, slushes, yogurt slushes, and other drinks.
They offer 6% off for cash transactions.

Wow a drive thru boba place? I’ve never been to one before. Apparently this place was once a Taco Bell and then a phở restaurant, so they kept the drive thru. The drive thru is pretty unique and can save time if you’re in a hurry. The interior is super cute. I love the shape of the windows, the booth seats, and the nice wall of the dragonflies. They also have some games that you can play like Taboo and The Game of Life.
I ordered the random tea with boba and my friends ordered the rainbow tea. I didn’t know what was in the random tea. It’s actually random. The barista chooses what to put in it and it’s different every time. It was actually really good! I can’t tell what they put in it, but I saw chia seeds (or is it basil seeds) and a lemon or an orange slice lol There were definitely other things added to it. The rainbow tea is one of the popular drinks here and it has peach, mango, strawberry, and chia seeds (or basil seeds idk). It’s really good too!
Currently, they have buy one get the second drink (same drink though) for $ 1. Or you can just get 10% for checking in on Unilocal.The sign on the cash register said that you need a minimum of $ 5 to use card. There’s also another sign that says you get 6% off if you use cash. I didn’t get a receipt so I’m not even sure if that was calculated into my total. 6% is really small anyways.
I’m so excited to find another drink place in Rowland Heights that I really like. Come try if you’re in the area!

Dragonfly Tea Bar is a pretty cool place to hang out or work on something until the wee hours of the night (especially during the weekends when it’s open until 2am) but the slow service as well as the quality of the drinks leave a bit more to be desired.
Being at a standalone location that used to be a drive-​thru Taco Bell, Dragonfly Tea Bar’s location is unusual for a tea spot in the sense that it’s not located in a plaza and thus, provides plenty of parking and outdoor seating. I’ve had the regular milk tea, honey lemon tea, and coffee milk tea here and while you get a lot for what you pay for, the milk teas have a generic taste to them that indicates there’s more sugar in them than anything else, even AFTER you ask to have less of that.
Still, I have to admit I will most likely to come back because Dragonfly is a nicer and quieter place to be than most of its competitors in this region. I also really like the interior art work.
Tip: Your first check in at this spot nets you a 10% discount. Paying by cash nets you 6% off.

There are not many cafes around rowland that stays open until midnight, but this particular spot has evolved for the years that I have been around. They are only getting better and better.
Got a green tea matcha latte and it was delicious. What a perfect spot to be studying and business meetings. Can’t wait to see how this café get even better
in the fututre!

Honestly, I wasn’t satisfied with my tea and a little frustrated for not being given proper information, but for being open so late and the employee being so friendly, I’ll bump it up. Plus, the bf’s tea was good. He got a tea that was a delicious mix of passionfruit and something else (lol sorry not my tea totally forgot). Without added sweetener, it was still sweet, but not outrageously so. The basil seeds (or are they chia?) were very few, but it didn’t detract from the yummy refreshing taste of the tea.
I got a tea that was an herbal blend with chrysanthemum. Even asking for no sugar, it came out too sweet. At first, I thought it was due to the measly little amount of apple jelly I got with it, but it was way too sweet even without the topping. I took the drink anyway, since I felt bad for making the employee redo the tea, but honestly, if the tea is pre-​sweetened, please let us know… I’d probably be screwed if I was diabetic. Luckily, I’m just crazy sensitive and bf got two drinks instead, as I couldn’t drink mine (I get sick if a drink is even moderately sweet).
I won’t be back here unless it’s late night and the bf is craving tea… and even then I might not order anything. I don’t know what is pre-​sweetened and what isn’t, and I’m not sure they’d understand what I meant if I asked.

4 stars for everything 1 more star for that drive thru though… for those people on the go… or if you’re just lazy like myself… but yes 5 stars to this little hole in the wall joint.
I came to get a quick drink with my boyfriend and we decided to test out the drive thru since the concept is so cool. Drive thru boba. I can’t get over it. Why can’t there be more drive thru boba… that’s so cool.
Its not your typical drive thru, there’s no drive thru ordering box and multiple windows to pay and pick up. It’s more like one window, drive up, get a menu, order and wait LOL. But that’s okay, the girl working was a sweetheart. She was super nice and helpful, she gets 5 stars herself although I didn’t catch her name. She handed us our menus and dealt with our indecisiveness like a boss.
It was a hot day so we got two of their iced specialteas. I got the rainbow tea (strawberry, peach, mango) and my boyfriend got the mangoholic (mango, blueberry). I added boba and my boyfriend added aloe but they gave him boba…:(silly girl. but she was so nice we didn’t say anything. Both drinks came with basil seeds which I think should be mentioned just in case for people who don’t like it. But I love basil seeds so it made me an extra happy camper, it’s like free toppings! Yay!
I got mine less sweet and it was perfect. It wasn’t a syrup overload like I expected it to be, it was definitely refreshing and the boba was really good as well. It wasn’t too soft and had just right amount of chewiness and a slight hint of sweetness to it. I was very impressed!
I’ll definitely be back to try some other stuff. or just get the same drink because it was really good. There was a few mix ups with the order but minor mistakes that could happen to anyone. At least the girl was sweet. She gets an A in my book :)

Chose this place randomly because it was 12:45am and every other place was either closed/​closing or no longer serving food.

Restroom is located outside around the back so kind of creepy to be out there alone at night so bring a friend haha
I’m a big fan of Rose and their royal/​rose tea latte was AMAZINGGGG

I’m crazy for dragonfly! The staff here are super friendly and really show appreciation for returning guests.
I love their rainbow snow, Thai tea, coco almond milk tea, and just about everything else on the menu! The boba and pudding is always fresh and yummy.
The food is great also, my favorites are the popcorn chicken and onion rings.
I love how late they’re open, which makes it a great study spot as well as hangout.
Make sure you grab a stamp card and pay in cash for an extra discount!

I so really badly want to give this a higher rating, but the atmosphere tonight was just way too crazy for my liking. There was this table that was extremely loud — a group of 12 girls or so, and they were not being considerate of others there with our laptops and books trying to study. I thought it was gonna be a quiet study night for me, but I was very disappointed. The thing is, the place echoes so it didn’t matter where you sat, you’d still be able to hear the loud group.
On the flip side, the drinks were very affordable. combining the dollar off for hot drinks and 10% off first check in, my sunset drink (peach and passion fruit) was only $ 2.74. A small is a really good size too!
Would I go here again? Probably not on a Saturday night.

Open late, listed Unilocal time is misleading. Weekdays are until 2 am and weekends are 4am. Fair warning though, doesn’t seem like this place is insulated so its very cold!
For it being winter, the place doesn’t cut the cold draft, so dress warm and comftyy cause there’s also board games, food, and drinks to keep you busy.
I got the banana ice cream and a hot green tea latte, which comes with one size. The latte was really sweet after I said a quarter sugar, the staff was really nice though cause she remade it after being amazed that I thought it was really sweet as she confesses she put half the sugar. After the remake of close to a quarter sugar hopefully, it turned out alot better. Will probably get something else in the future.
As for the banana ice cream. It seems like a very cambodian/​Thai dish since it was jelly frozen banana topped with coconut milk, coconut shavings and peanuts. It was pretty good and worth the money since it was 2.25? I think
Overall will come back if I’m up for late night chilling. Just gotta bring a blanket

After hearing a lot of positive feedback about Dragonfly Tea Bar, I was eager to give it a try after dinner at 5 Bread 2 Fish Café. Since I was pretty stuffed from dinner, my friend and I decided to walk across the street to try to burn some calories — and then consume even more calories from the tea.
I think the overall concept and vision that Dragonfly has is good, but the execution of the drinks was what brought this visit down. Dragonfly Tea Bar is blessing for those late-​night owls or students trying to cram for finals. It’s open until 2 AM Sunday through Wednesdays and until 4 AM Thursdays through Saturdays. This tea bar also has a convenient drive through for people not wanting to make a trip into the store and prefer to grab a quick drink and leave. And the décor and ambience of this place is also really cute. Definitely made me feel like I was walking into a cute modern teahouse. There aren’t too many tables and the teahouse offers a variety of games that customers can play, so I can imagine guests staying here for long hours.
Their menu is quite extensive with signature drinks, specialteas, tea lattes, slushes, snows, yognurt snows, and even java, snacks, and food (like wonton soup or beef stew with bread). I just stuck with a drink.
I opted to try their almond tea latte and added boba for an additional $ 0.45. Because everything looks so fancy, I expected the cup of tea to be served in a pretty nice cup. I was a little disappointed that the cups were pretty cheap with the seal on plastic. But of course you can’t judge the drink by how it looks or what it’s served in. Quality tea is quality tea no matter what and sadly this was not quality tea. The drink had a very powdery taste, reminding me of those really cheap almond tea packets. It was a little on the thick side and nowhere near as good as other tea houses’ almond tea. When I asked what the tea latte was, the person helping me said something about latte/​cream on the top, so I figured it would be like a sea salt cream. Perhaps they blended it all together, but this just tasted like a really cheap almond tea. The boba was decent and they gave a good amount, but it wasn’t too special.
My friend decided to go for the random tea (barista’s choice) since he «lives life on the edge». He ended up getting some orange grapefruit mango tea with basil seeds or something. It tasted okay — kinda fruity, but did have that artificial flavor. He said it was not bad.
tl;dr — I do like that they try hard to make this place customer friendly. There’s Wi-​Fi, incentives for paying with cash (a 6% discount), Unilocal check-​in offer, $ 1 off any hot drink until February, etc. It was just disappointing that the drinks I tried were just mediocre quality for a higher price than I would mind paying. The worker was really friendly and tried to be helpful with all our questions — just too bad the drinks we got weren’t that good.
