Food is great. Service deserves no stars. Waited over an hour for my food. Mind you, I was a party of one. ONE. I ordered two items. Waitress ignores you purposefully and texts on her phone instead.

You get alot for your money. I expected for the dishes to taste average for the price, but they actually turned out above average. Would recommend and will come back!

A very solid restaurant. I always order the okra dish that they are known for. It has a nice garlicky sauce. All the other dishes we’ve tried are good too, with reasonable prices. After our meal, we usually walk past a few stores to get some shaved snow at Class 302, which still serves the best shaved snow in California.

Cool, they currently have a special $ 5.99 on a lot of dishes. And they have lunch special Monday thru Friday from 11:30 to 2:30. Awesome! Their food is super tastey too. I’m a fan! Their portions are big and generous. They have a lot of selections and so far, no MSG headache! New favorite place!

I love their dumplings, their ox tail soup was good and the portion is quite large. Hand made noodles are also pretty good. The lamb noodle soup is what I usually go for as my main dish. Pot stickers and dumplings as my side dishes. This is not a fancy restaurant. But the kitchen is pretty neat and clean you can see from outside. And you can use your credit cards to pay. These two advantages are usually something difficult to find among Chinese restaurants therefore I valued them a lot in this restaurant. I high recommend it for some quick, convenient dinner for small parties. Service is pretty friendly too.

Having just carefully rejuvenated yesterday’s leftovers on the stove top – shrimp soup dumplings, friend rice – it’s only right to acknowledge Haolin for a fine, delicious pleasing meal. Simple, unpretentious food in an unassuming(almost too unassuming) location next to 99 Ranch Market. Hope others enjoy it as much as I did.

Good food, big portion, decent service, very decent price, full menu for Chinese foodie! They had special deal on fresh steamed fish when I visited, $ 9.99 for a big tail of fresh fish, nice!

— Locale Destination — It’s on S Nogales St and E Gale Ave in Rowland Heights. It’s in the same plaza as «99 ranch market», on the left side of «Class 302». I didn’t realize there were many restaurants in the complex. Ambiance: Simple, pop & mom shop. Nothing fancy. You got to go through the big bead«noren»(in Japanese) to get to the bathroom, which is very annoying. Service: Friendly Menu: It came up on the Unilocal search by «dim sum». However, they have more than«dim sum» — noodles, fried rice etc. Some dim sum was displayed by the entrance. Price is a bit more expensive than others in this area. They give you the portion, which I’m not fond of. I rather have varieties than portion. I think they have a lunch menu, which is supposed to be very cheap. Parking: Plenty — Gluttony Expedition — Xiao long bao(小籠包): The skin was all broken, so I had no soup in it :(The stuffing was meh, but hard to judge it without soup. How come«dim sum» place screw up with this??? Chive pancake: Very big 2 pancakes. Chinese style doughy tortilla with sautéed chives and green onions. I like a bit soy sauce dipping on it. Not bad. — Conqueror’s Deduction — I don’t see the amazing balls about this place from what I got. Xiao long bao was a total failure for sure. I might give another shot. I like varieties. I don’t like to eat the same one dish for big portion. Dim sum is something you could order multiple dishes for varieties. However, dim sum here are meant for the big family(portion wise). Every dish is like 6 – 8 pieces for $ 8+(I think it’s a little more expensive than others in these areas). It’s hard to try different things for 2 people. I wish they were less portions with cheaper price tags so that I could try more.

Someone greets you courteously when you get in and seats you right away. Toilet is very clean. The food is very reasonably priced. I tried their seafood noodle soup and it was awesome. The portion was so generous it can feed two. The taste was very good. Served hot. You can taste that the ingredients are very fresh and the saltiness is just light so as not to mask the real flavor of the seafood. I will go back to try their other dishes. Highly recommended.

This place is pretty good. Many restaurants have been through here but this one has been the best. I love the okra and beef with wild mushroom. It’s not always cheap depending on what you get but they have promotional stuff sometimes that makes it a good deal. Service is good.

This is the first time we were here. The staff was very friendly. She greeted us right away when we stood outside of the restaurant. The price is reasonable too. We ordered dumpling, noodle with minced pork and fish balls soup. They were all delicious! We would definitely come again

Shrug… 3 star Xiao long bao = yums! 4 star Lunch prices cheap, got way too much food for one person, will return to try their other dishes!

With so many Chinese eateries in the area, how does a restaurant stand out in the crowd? Haolin does so with great food and great service. I always appreciate when my server tells me the whatsup! The other day for lunch we ordered over $ 30 worth of dishes. Our waiter could’ve very well took our order and that would be that but he told us about their unadvertised special — we got a whole steam fish for an additional $ 1.99 — yeah you read that right 2 bucks! The service was attentive and they did not hesitate to make recommendations. At the end of the meal I just happened to mentioned that I posted pictures of our food onto Unilocal. At that point he told me about another one of their specials — a free order of Xiao Long Bao for Unilocalers! 2 hooks up in one meal. Our meal was fantastic. The beef in the Beef Chow Fun was perfectly cooked and served on a tasty bed of rice noodles. For me this dish is all about how the beef is cook. There is a way to cook beef that is so unique to Chinese cooking. If cooked right it is super tender and the texture…, well, as best as I can describe it is smooth. There is no comparison in all the world. The pan fried dumplings were perfectly pan fried till crispy yet still retain much of the soft portions of the wrap. The filling was ample, delicious and complemented the wrap perfectly. My favorite dish was the spicy tripe sautéed in veggies. The spiciness was just right, the veggies were not over cooked and went well with the tripe. Our 2 buck fish, which I thought would come with an inexpensive variety of fish, came with a red snapper. The flavoring was perfect. I thought the fish was a bit over cooked but it was most enjoyable never the less. My least favorite dish was the soy sauce okra. Apparently, this is one of the most popular dishes at Haolin but I was never a fan of okra. However, I did bring the leftover of the okra to lunch the next day, and it was excellent! We took our freebie Xiao Long Bao homes. I also had that the next day. It was very good but I will reserve my final review of this for next time, since Xiao Long Baos are really meant to be eaten right away. Next time? Besides the Xiao Long Bao, I will try some of their soup noodle dishes. Oh by the way they gave us coupon to be used next time — another hook up!

New restaurant in town. At first, I was hesitant to go there since only 2 reviews. But decide to give a try since pics look good. Its Thursday night and place look empty. Saw ladies in the kitchen fresh made the dumpling at entrance Friendly service Price is reasonable Menu — all photos, which is so much easily to pick Just my friend and I we order Stir Fried clams w/dried red chili — This was so good Shrimp Dumpling — Its was fresh and juicy. — All the sauce on the side of the table. Doesn’t come with shredded gingers Deep fried pork steak with salt and pepper — Its was different with diced celery, red pepper and onion Seafood noodle soup — 1 of 3 choice of Handmade noodle(Egg, Spanish and I forgot the last one) Foods was good that we finished it. Will be back soon to try other dishes
