One stars off for service, rude and don’t know how to talk to customer! Food, good! Yummy and delicious! Little bit pricey. Ordered the Beijing duck,(chef from Guangdong! How do I know? I asked server,) two way duck! I highly recommend if you ordered two way then order the soup instead the other choices(we order the duck meat with bean sprout, it only has 2 pieces of duck meat! Not Jk, bean sprout only! Not happy! Another star off! Come back again? Maybe, to check if still give 2 pieces duck meat with a dish of bean sprout

Every so often, we would go to Duck House(the one in Atlantic) for peking duck. There is no longer a need to go that far to get peking duck when they have it 2 mins from my house. Before I dig in to the food, always make sure you call in to order the Peking Duck and I also recommend making reservations. I’ve been to 3 kinds of similar restaurants to this restaurant and they all serve basically the same food. I would have to say this is definitely up there as there is one that I went in arcadia that had the same food for cheaper price but I personally thought it wasn’t as good. However, Happy Duck House happened to have the same quality as Duck House(in Atlantic) and happen to be slightly cheaper as well. Personally, I don’t quite like the set meal because besides the Peking Duck itself, I actually don’t like the items they give. The Peking Duck is soooo good, They give you tortilla to wrap(which cost $ to refill unfortunately :(), you put 1 skin, 2 – 3 duck meat, the veggies, and the sauce and basically wrap up into a taco. The duck skin is crispy and obviously the best part, the meat is cooked quite well and I actually quite liked it, the veggies just kinda gives you that crunch, while the sauce flavor it up, and the tortilla wraps it altogether to be an awesome delicious taco-like thing. My other favorite dishes are the egg omelet tofu and the French style beef. I did think that the egg omelet tofu was slightly oversalted when I had it but still my personal favorite. If its similar to Duck House in Atlantic, I’m also a big fan of the Eel sticky rice(but I haven’t had it here yet so I’ll edit this post when that time comes). I would definitely recommend it for some special occasion for a bigger party. I feel like a party of 5 people is ideal so you can get other dishes to try while still have the perfect amount of Peking Duck to go around. Service = doable. Parking can be a bitch too. I usually park near smart and final and if I really have to starbucks/sandwich place.

First time here. All dishes are very tasty. Their wrappers have great texture and compliment the duck skin&meat quite nicely. We had the duck soup, eel sticky rice, steam black cod and stir fried veggie. We had the wine rice ball dessert at the end. It was a nice touch. Will definitely come again with friends.

Happy duck= happy customer. This place was recently opened and I had been eager to try it. We only had 4 people for dinner but we had ordered 2 ducks(yes we are crazy). Call in advance to reserve seat and duck! They make for the day’s order. Highly recommended for tasty Peking duck eat 1 way(duck meat, duck skin, and thin flour skin for wrap). If the party was 4 – 6 people, eating 2 way(add on a soup/duck sauté dish in addition to the one way). Other dishes were yummy but the duck was the highlight and it is delicious. Service was great. Waitress was very attentive and it was enjoyable. The meal can be pricey but i think it is worth it.

Went here with some coworkers for lunch. We ordered a variety of dishes including the peking duck, ong choy with bean curd, mapo tofu, and sweet and sour pork. They gave a complimentary bowl of soup as we were a larger party and ordered a lot of food. The peking duck here is interesting in that they use thin flour wraps instead of the steamed buns that I’m used to. No worries as it all still tasted great! Now I normally don’t eat vegetables but ong choy is one of my favorites and we had to order it once I saw it on the menu. For some reason, many of the Chinese restaurants I’d been to in the area don’t have ong choy. I went with one where they had garlic and bean curd as that’s the style I’m used to, being Vietnamese and all. It was very good, and I truly enjoyed it. The sweet and sour pork was just ok to me, nothing amazing, but to be fair, I don’t really like pork all that much. The mapo tofu was decent, though not one of the best, still very flavorful. All in all, a solid lunch option, I would definitely be back.

Duck not as good as people mentioned, it doesn’t taste like roasted duck. And duck soup no taste, just better than drink water. Tables so close to one another. Feel like not too comfortable.

The restaurant looks clean and new, which should be expected since they are considered new, right? I got the Peking Duck, which came with the greens and the«pancake» wraps. My wife and I went through all the wraps and realized there was still a ton of duck remaining, so we asked if we can get some more of those wraps thinking those were complimentary – keep in mind, they’re not. Although the duck was pretty decent, $ 6 for some more wraps is a little unusual, especially when it seems like they give you more for the second round… Who provides that much duck with not enough«pancakes» and charges when their customer asks for a little more? Probably won’t come back except for special occasions… that other people invite me to… LOL

In search of new Peiking duck and disgusted by many other place. We pray this one is what Unilocalrs claimed… Yes it is! We order the complete $ 158 meals for8−10, and definitely lots of food to feed more than 10. The duck was crisp nor greesy, meat properly cut and portion. The other dishes were unique and well proportion. Service was excellent, the waiter and owner very attentive and we love the desert! Great place to entertains your guest without breaking the bank !

I tried the beef with jalapeño and string beans. Both dishes were really good. I could eat the string beans everyday. Can’t wait to go back and try other dishes.

This place is for Peking duck mostly, glad we reserved a table in advance, it was packed on a Saturday night! Very small restaurant with cramped seatings, they were understaffed too, service was kinda slow, but servers were very friendly and did the best they could. We went for combo one Peking duck meal, also ordered greens, shrimp fried rice and spicy beef stew noodle soup as fillers. The Peking duck was really GOOD! Although I couldn’t taste it, but parents said it tasted the same as the happy duck houses in Beijing, I believe them cause they know better about authentic Peking duck! Duck bone soup was very tasty too, flavorful but not heavy or oily. Housemade tortillas were very delicious! As for other dishes, scallops and shrimps with corn wasn’t that good, very small amount of seafood in it, and it was a little bland too. Fried rice and noodle soup were so yummy, especially the noodle soup, for $ 8 only it was loaded with lots of beef stew in it, the soup was very flavorful and comforting according to sister. French style sliced beef was so delicious, everybody liked it. Cold meat platter was bomb, very well marinated beef and pork, so good! Overall the food was great, portions were decent and prices were fair. Think this is our go to place for Peking duck now! Ps. No alcohol at all.

Fantastic Peking duck here. The skin is very crisp and the meat is flavorful and wonderfully cut. The way they present it is pretty. I really liked the thin tortillas they give you too. They’re really soft and delicate and so freaking yummy. They use the duck and make two other dishes which were ok. Their dessert(soup with glutinous balls with sesame paste) is freaking delicious and they give you a massive bowl! My BF ate 3 bowls and I had 1 bowls. This place is a far drive for us but really worth it!

Their peking duck is one of the best I’ve had in the states. You’ll need to call ahead to order this particular dish. The other dishes they have are pretty good as well, tofu and vegetables. However, it’s here for the peking duck.

This review is base on service only because that’s is the first impression for the restaurant. We had a reservation for 9 at 7:30pm(the guy we spoken to on the phone told us 7:30pm to 7:45 pm). We didn’t get seat it until 8:10 and what’s even worst is that we had peoples who came in after us seated before us. After we were seated, we didn’t even get the menu we had to grab it ourselves. It took us good 10 min to finally got one of the servers attention to order. If this kind of service keeps up, it will be close down soon. I don’t even know if I want to write another review about the food if service is this messy.

Came here on new years day for the first time with some friends, and they day us at the table next to the door. What’s worst was part of our table was in front of the doors so if the door that is against the table gets opened, someone could walk into it because it’s isn’t locked. This place is small. We ordered the $ 78.95 combo dinner for 4 – 5 people, and was very disappointed when the last dish, jade scallop with shrimp came out. My friends and I couldn’t believe it. It’s cheaper than a regular dish, and not something we would expect from a restaurant. The other food that came with the meal was okay. The famous duck wasn’t even a full duck. We felt ripped off. Tea was lukewarm. Service was so so. Not coming back again.

Great choice for family dinner! The duck is amazing here. It’s a must try for everyone. Same with the fillet mignon beef cube. It’s so tender and tasty. Price is about 25 per person if you order family size meal. But price is well worth it for the quality of the food. You won’t be disappointed!

Food is great but the waiting time for to-go takes forever. I ordered a week in advance. Confirmed my order one day before and they even called me the same day to confirm again. When I got there at 5pm they are barely slicing the duck and I ordered 3 of them. Poor management!

12.22.15 Went there around 7pm. Only 2 waiter and the other one Just sit down and only serve one big table. It was full house and I asked for refill hot tea then waited for 5 mins. Food is ok, I came here because it’s close to my house. This duck house just opened 3 weeks and only has 5 reviews and all 5 stars… I know it’s coming from owners friends but still decided to give it a try. I enjoyed the Beijing duck and the duck soup… 2 star for food and 1 star for the 2 waiter, they are really nice. I think they should hire more waiter to provide better service. Also! There was an used band aid on my chair! So disgusting !! I just throw away and didn’t bother the waiter since they so busy serve other customers. I will recommend this place to my friends who live near by…

It is the best Peking duck in LA, PERIOD, better than Duck House in Monterey Park and MEIZHOUDONGPO, not only the price, also the taste! If you want duck, make your reservation and order ducks in advance. We always order one duck three ways and an extra duck by itself. When you wrap the duck in your Chinese tortilla, make sure you add some sugar and cereal with the sauce and scallion, it really makes the duck taste better. Shanghai-style Pork Spare Ribs, this one definitely has bones in it. We enjoyed this one as well! The bite-sized pieces of meat are very tasty + tender once you work your way around the bones. The sauce coating sprinkled with sesame seeds on the the outside is tangy + sweet yet the texture distinguishes it from your everyday typical sweet + sour pork. It’s way better. Other dishes also are really yummy, cuz NOMSG in all dishes made me happy!!!

Good place for roast duck. We order cooked three styles: roasted, fried bean sprouts, and soup with tofu.(Should order before 30 minutes.) Their duck dish is so delicious. Duck skin was crisp and they give thin sliced tortilla, green onion, cucumber slice. Great for a group to eat a duck together. Service is better than some normal Chinese restaurant. Got everything we wanted. Would we come back? Of course!
