I really don’t want to leave a bad review, but I’m trying to help the management. The hot sauce is too tomato sauce-​y, the refried beans are super weird with texture and taste, and the cheese enchiladas have a fake cheese way about them. Now, I love Mexican food. This restaurant is pretty and I like the vibe. The waiting staff is great, too. But I really think management should consider changing up a few recipes.

One of my favorite spots to go to for brunch. The service is always great, the waiters/​waitresses & owners are always nice and greeting. You’ll definitely get full with the food!

Went there Tuesday evening and will not be returning unless I just want water or ice tea. The margaritas that I love so much and always order the big one, did not appear to have any alcohol in them. They use to be so strong that my husband would drive home since he only drinks water. I had heard they were under new management and I can see where they are doing their cut backs. Fajitas were good but my husband’s chicken burrito was dry and there was very little rice and beans. This use to be my favorite place for Mexican food and margaritas.

Just went there. It was gooooood. the atmosphere was perfect. I’ve been goin for a few years. Nothing in the area compares. This place has great food and drinks. Support your local restaurants. This is a really good place. Don’t listen to the people that say it’s overpriced. It’s not. Do your own comparison. It’s great food. The margaritas are worth it. Game over. This is it. All others in the area are garbage. Bartender Oscar is awesome.

Over priced for the food! I’ve gone twice and the towel is being thrown in on this place. This last time we went it was on St. Patrick’s Day in the evening but know one was hardly there and it took forever to get seated. The queso was nasty. Rico cheese from Walmart is way better than that. Highly disappointed! I’ve given this restaurant two more tries because the very first time I’ve gone it was for a family gathering after a funeral I attended and we all met up here. I will say at the time, we all had fajitas and they were good.

Consistently great! Food is always hot, fresh, delicious and even well plated. The staff is always friendly and prompt. The place is always clean, and they often have live music if you’re in to that!

We went Thursday for Happy Hour to check the place out and really enjoyed everything. Stephen was a great server. He was very helpful describing food items, with enthusiasm, since it was our first time. Chips and salsa were fabulous, queso was real deal and not some yellow mush. Nachos were great and the drink prices were just right. We will definitely be back with friends and family for a more extended experience. Kudos Dos Chavos!!!

For sure some of the best Mexican food in rowlett. If you don’t like Mexican food. At least go for the margaritas. They are cheap and full of the good juice!

Great Margaritas !!! Good food. Terrible Service !!! Third time we have had lunch /​drinks at Dos Chavos and have experienced the same problem. The bartender /​servers are under staffed for the number of customers. I do not blame them, I blame the owner (s). But, the customers have to wait to get drinks and to be served. This will be our last time eating at Dos Chavos.

Love this place! Nachos, quesadillas, enchiladas, fajitas and surf-​n-​turf are a few of our regular items. Great drinks and very reasonably priced. Definately my go-​to place.

Very clean, my waitress was young Hispanic girl with braces I’m sorry don’t remember her name to many margaritas. But she was on point, food was very good I had avocado enchiladas. they have TVs you can bring your family on some nights they have karaōke.

My wife and have been here 100 times. Still as good as the first time. We love this place. Good food and people! Oh and the Frozen Margaritas are the best!

Thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The steak on the steak salad was excellent. Servers were attentive and polite and in a Saturday night we got right in with no wait time. The atmosphere is super cool and I love that they left large water jugs at our table so we never had to worry about running out. I would definitely make a return trip next time we are back visiting.

I’ve been coming the dos chavos for about a year now, and I have to say this is my favorite restaurant for Mexican! They have great prices, staff is awesome! Only thing I hate is that they are closed on Mondays. :(but they are freaking fabulous!

I love this place food is good service is fast food is hot and correct.
My favorite is the queso so creamy and I love spicy kitchen nacos with the shredded meat deliocious. every time.
They have a buffet never did it but its popular. Margaritas are tasty too
