Show & Tell Cuts

First, I am white. Second, my sons are black. They are 5. It was important to me to start taking them to a legit barber shop. I’m in Richardson, but was in the Rowlett area so I found Show and Tell here on Unilocal.We walked in — no problem, although they accept appointments.
Jason, the owner/​manager was great. He was one of four gentlemen, all African-​American, cutting hair. There were a couple other families waiting when we got there.
However, one of my sons, the fidgety, sensitive one, went first since the other family was waiting on a particular barber. The gentleman who cut his hair may not have understood what I requested, but Jason did and guided him after he’d already begun. It wasn’t exactly what I’d wanted and it took about 50 minutes, but my son didn’t know the difference — looked good to him, and the barber did a great job making sure only he and I knew it wasn’t the original plan.
My other son, the still, cooperative one, only waited a couple minutes and was done in 15 – 20 with a low cut, bald fade.
The prices were good, $ 10 for the cooperative fade, $ 12 for the fidgety mohawk.

It was pretty clean, the guys were super nice and thanked my boys for coming in and doing well. There were two TVs, one or the other seen easily from anywhere playing sports, then Jason changed it to the 5 o’clock news.
It was a great experience, I wouldn’t hesitate to go again with my boys and honestly, I’ll probably start going myself.
