Winthrop Farm

My daughter has boarded her horse here for the last few years. The barn is immaculate and the staff is extremely serious about the horses care, safety and comfort. It is a warm, welcoming set of people, who all seem very focused on their horses and their riding.

I have been riding since I was 6 years old, and I had ridden with many different instructors before meeting Anne (owner & trainer at W.F.). I have been riding with Anne for about the past 9 years and I cannot recommend her enough. I’ve had unpleasant experiences with riding instructors at other facilities that are impatient and lack people skills, but Anne is just wonderful, and earnestly cares about each individual and their horse’s needs. If there is a lameness problem or just a simple position problem that needs to be fixed, she takes the time to explain it to you and makes sure you understand it. If you need to switch your lesson time, it is no problem.
I’ve boarded my horse at Winthrop Farm for the past 4 years and it has been extremely accommodating, clean, and friendly. The people that ride and board their horses here are so nice!
Winthrop Farm is an all-​dressage barn, but truck-​ins are welcome if you board your horse somewhere else.
In boarding my horse here, it has been very easy to manage visits with the farrier, chiropractor, vet, dentist, etc. because the barn organizes a day when each said professional pays a visit and you have the opportunity for your horse to be seen by them. Of course, if you would like to use another farrier, vet, etc., it is very easy to make that happen!
My horse has been so well cared for here, I can’t imagine boarding or riding anywhere else! Thanks Anne!
