Just bought my first crossbow — x-force 350 w Excalibur case — same price as Amazon after installation, plus I got to shoot it and try it out. Great service and a shooting range — ur stupid not to buy from here unless ur an expert.

Great friendly service! I am new to bowhunting and was given an old Bear Silent Hunter from a friend. Took it into the shop yesterday to get draw weight lowered and checked out. They tuned me up and let me shoot at the range to make sure i was set for free. Going back this week to pick up some broad heads and get another round of practice in before the weekend.

I would barely give this place a star. I took my Matthews bow here to switch out the cams to shorten the draw. Which they did do. But when I called a few times to get the status one of the older men was just an A$$ hole. He was rude to me said that he has been expecting the parts too, and not to worry he would call as soon as it was done. Two weeks later he did. In addition to that when I did get it back the draw wasn’t square, they didn’t even touch the strings!!! And $ 100 later what did they actually do for me? Needless to say I nor any of my family or friends will be using this place for our bow hunting needs.

When you come here to MJC no doubt you are getting the voice of experience. The three guys who work here must have a combined 120 years of service. You’re not going to get a whole lot of warm fuzzy conversation from them as they are to-the-point kind of people. The pro shop carries an assortment of bows, crossbows and accessories. My only problem is that almost every bow and crossbow they carry start at $ 500 and go up from there. Newbies to hunting, unless they have an unlimited budget, will find this a bit on the pricey side. They do carry a $ 300 crossbow that magically is never in stock and your next combo option starts at $ 549. Ouch! They do not carry anything from the Barnett product line and if you ask them they will tell you that Barnett produces inferior product lines that frequently break. User reviews at Bass Pro tell a different story but it’s their shop. They also don’t promote any of their affordable product lines either. You either ante up here or shop elsewhere. I’m all about supporting Michigan businesses and buying local but unfortunately I had to spend my money at Amazon. The archery range is narrow and can only accommodate about four shooters at a time. The people I’ve met on the range have all been quite friendly and make this a decent place to get ready for bow/crossbow season.

I dropped by to check them out and buy a few accessories and spent about $ 35. The gentleman I dealt with was friendly and helpful. The store itself is small, but clean and well organized. They appear to specialize in compound bows(not surprising) but they have a small selection of traditional bows as well, in both target and hunting weights. I’ll be visiting again to try their range.
