This is my second time buying glasses from this location of pearl. I couldn’t be happier with the service that I received! After purchasing a pair in July I went back a month later to get a second pair as a spare. Dee was the associate I worked with, who was very helpful in understanding my price boundaries as well as helping me with the correct frame size. This included checking with the manufacturer on not only size but color options available. While making adjustments and measuring for this new spare pair, I mentioned a scratch that I have on my initial pair,(a scratch that I did not have when I picked up my glasses) that I purchased only one month ago. It was Dee’s idea that Pearl could replace my lenses for me! I explained to her that the scratch was my fault, which didn’t matter, they were going to replace them! Imagine my surprise! Although, I agree that eyeglasses are extremely expensive and the fact that most frames are made in China and not made with the durability that they should have, the customer service here takes the sting out a bit. This location of Pearl has exceeded my expectations and I am happy to continue my patronage here in the years to come! Furthermore, they have the technology and equipment at this location to manufacture their own lenses so the leadtime for your glasses is shorter than other locations that send them out.

Patrick prompt and attentive to my needs, got me in to see the Optometrist to check my eyes because my script was old. Patrick was nice and was able to find a pair that was perfect to my needs and a pair that my wife liked overall a good experience and can’t wait to get my new pairs…

I went to Pearl Vision on Woodward for the first time a year ago and still can not get over what happened. It was a toss up between 2 different frames and I finally decided on one. I put the other one back in the cabinet left the ones I picked out on the counter. I wait a week go to pick them up and they were not the frames I picked. I didn’t want to wait another week so I said it was ok. I put them on and knew something was not right. They looked at the prescription and said they where correct to what the Doc ordered so I left. I started crying on the way home cause I could not see crap out of 1 eye. A year later I went back to where I usually go and she said the prescription was completely wrong. over 500 $…Never Never again!

Dr. Foon was great. I will go back because I was impressed that he took extra time to address my concerns regarding my vision. Nancy K helped me pick my glasses. It seemed like she just looked at my face shape and knew exactly what glasses would look right. Overall, excellent experience!

Nancy was a GREAT help! She made getting new glasses fun and much less stressful than my previous experiences. She helped me find great frames and also really worked with me on the price of everything and made it all work with my budget. She even went the extra step to fix my old glasses that I didn’t even purchase from them. Unfortunately, I did have a less helpful and great experience with the women who did my first exam.

I chose this location because they accept my insurance. My exam was scheduled for 11:40 a.m. I saw the Doctor at about 12:10 p.m. He was professional, courteous, thorough. When it came to purchasing my glasses; I felt the sales associate was constantly«up selling» me. Perhaps that is their business model. She showed me several expensive frames; and didn’t show me any frames within my insurance coverage reimbursement. I had to seek those frames out on my own. I’d give their frame selection a 2(on the 5 point scale). My associate was simultaneously helping another family; which added additional time onto my visit. She also had difficulty figuring out my insurance reimbursement. I did finally choose frames that I wasn’t 100% happy with; but were within my price range. Also, it was almost 1:30 p.m. before I was finished. In my mind: that is too long. I do not believe they do a good job of explaining all the«options» they select for you; and expect you to pay until you disagree with the price. AND then miraculously they can find a lower price. If they didn’t accept my insurance I most likely would not go here.

My first visit and I won’t be back. So many fees… in what is supposed to be a comprehensive exam. Associates were very rude when I was asking questions to clarify things. I’m sorry that I don’t know the answers, I am not a vision expert. Avoid this place if at all possible.

I have been back many times since then and will continue going back. Patrick is the best. Also, I’ve been to many other places to get my glasses tightened/adjusted and this location does it the best. I was having problems finding a pair of contacts that were comfortable and could correct my vision. The doctor worked with me and explored all different sorts of options with me.
