We enjoy going there at least once a week. Haven’t had a bad meal yet. We love the burgers and really enjoyed the catfish basket last time we went. Food always comes out pretty quick and is nice and hot.

If you live in Poetry or Union Valley, B&F is the only place to eat a home style meal. Simple American country food made to order, with yummy homemade pies and desserts. You’ll like the cute 1950’s diner theme with red vinyl covered chairs and black and white checked floor tiles. Friendly staff and reasonably priced food that is tasty and filling. If you want a country diner experience (breakfast, lunch or dinner), this is your ticket.

Great chili chz burger. Would have given 5 stars if my sweet potato waffle fries were hot. They were very good though. Menu is all over the place. Lots of choices. They serve breakfast all day so will be back for that.

This pace is filthy!!! The tables are dirty & the window seals have dirt & dead bugs. I just hope the kitchen is cleaner than the dinning area.

Tried a few items on the menu. The burgers are pretty good, chicken strips are decent and the sandwiches are good as well.
We’ve tried various appetizers and weren’t impressed. The boneless wings, jalepenos poppers, cheese sticks all taste like the frozen stuff from the grocery store and not appetizing. We ordered chili cheese fries and the grease just lingered on the plate and didnt taste good at all.
Overall I would say there are some great hits on the menu and some pretty big misses. You just have to sample and see what you like. It is worth the trip, the staff are attentive and try to make it a good visit.
The tables are clean and the atmosphere is cutesy café style and makes you feel welcome.

I think I have found heaven! Holy smokes this place is good. Wanted to find a new «hole-​in-​the-​wall» place to eat at today and could not be more pleased. I had the catfish basket. Very clean catfish! I haven’t had that is quite a while and have been looking. Hubs had a cheeseburger and onion rings. We decided to give the pie a try too. I had the German chocolate and hubs had coconut cream. Whew! Again… delicious! We can’t wait to try breakfast here. And let’s not forget the employee’s here… they are so sweet and made us feel at home.
We have truly found our new favorite and look forward to bringing friends and family here.
Absolutely give two thumbs up and would give more if I had more thumbs!

A sliver of joy in an otherwise desolate stretch of highway. The food is typical Americana as one would expect in this area. Somehow or another the kitchen staff has managed to find the happy medium between bland enough for the elderly and bold enough for the moderately adventurous. The management staff is skilled and attentive, where the ever changing lineup of teenage waitresses is almost always entertaining. The food, though far from exciting is exactly as one would expect in a location such as it is. Always fresh, always safe for those with sensitive taste buds. Far from flavorless, yet somewhat unexciting. Visit on the weekends for cuisine with slightly more inspiration, but go early as the specials tend to sell out.

I discovered this delicious country diner about six months ago and wish I had found it years ago. I’ve had everything from the smoked chicken, pork chops, burger, Gary’s breakfast, Texas tooth picks, meatloaf and the chicken salad and everything has been incredibly tasty. I love the fried okra, collard greens, and twice baked potato too. A few months back, they expanded the restaurant seating and updated the interior to look more like a fifty’s diner. I wholeheartedly recommend B&F and hope you get out to try it soon too.
