Americas Best Value Inn

It seems like people only come here to post the bad reviews. That’s just not my style. For relatively less money than other places in town, I got a room that was clean and everything worked. It was very quiet, set back from the highway, and I wasn’t awoken by outside noise once. The only issue I had was a non-​smoking room that someone had smoked in recently. But that happens in every hotel, and it didn’t reek to the point that I needed to change rooms. I ran the ceiling fan (yes, it had one, wow) and the regular fan, and it smelled fine by morning. Cigarette burn in the covers — again, the hotel didn’t do this, and they shouldn’t have to throw out a bed cover for one burn. The only problem I had was that the credit card machine was down, and the manager was out of town, so I had to pay cash. That’s actually never happened to me before. I just hope the transaction didn’t store and process later… but otherwise I had a friendly, enjoyable experience and I would stay there again. It doesn’t at all match the other reviews on here. Maybe they changed owners recently.

Filthy, dirty, disgusted. Molds restroom has no fan. Cockroaches, bed bugs. You name it you got it. Just because its cheap. Also people selling them selves out here trying to steal your stuff. Never again coming back.

I checked in for 4 nights because I was working in the area. Room seemed ok at first. Woke up after my first night and was going through my morning routine when I saw a small bug crawling on my iPad that laying on the bed. I looked closely and it was a bed bug. That’s when I started to notice there where several of them on the bed. Disgusted I through back the sheets to discover about a dozen of them. I decided to go all Steve Erwin and collected them and took them up to the front desk. The guy at the front desk was embarrassed but not surprised! I was insulted when I was told I was still going to be charged for the room but he would «help me out» by refunding the other nights I booked! Well that didn’t fly I eventually was refunded all money. Room 102 is infested!!! I hate to give bad reviews but hope this helps someone.

Our room was terrible. There was dust and dirt on the table, microwave was barely working, 2 empty beer bottles were in the fridge! Have they ever had a housekeeper?! There were even couple of roaches! They probably never heard about pest control! 2 starts for letting our ferret in the room for additional $ 10 and a flat screen tv with nice list of channels. All the rest was shitty, like most of the places in Ruston though!

Stayed here while passing through Monroe. Very cheap accommodations, because this hotel is a few blocks from a papermill and it STINKS. You come into West Monroe and the stench just assaults your nose. The room was clean, the guy who checked us in was nice– the lady who checked us out however should possibly find a new career. She was rude as anything, my husband Accidentally spilled his coffee at the ‘continental breakfast’ (juice, coffee, and old donuts) and apologized to her a few times offering to help. She just ignored him. I mean, I get you probably hate your job but you are in customer service so a reply would have been nice. She then proceeded to grill us on what room we stayed in and who put us in that room? I mean, really lady?
Hopefully we never pass through the stinky shit hole that is West Monroe again, but if we do, we won’t be staying here.
