Captain D’s Seafood Restaurants

Best food that is fast. Service is friendly. I like that I can get green beans and broccoli for sides and grilled fish. A great healthier alternative to other fast food.

Way overpriced. Not high quality seafood, and should drop prices. Food usually comes out greasy. Location is very slow. They take forever to give you food. People in front of you can get it in a minute, but you’ll have to wait 10 – 15.

I have an old connection with Captain D’s. I have been going there for about 20 years. I love there tarter sauce. It is the key to the craving. I remember when I always received sauce with fish & was even asked by the cashier if I would like extra. The past three times I’ve been to Captain D’s I’ve received no sauce whatsoever. It made me so mad I bought some at the grocery store to keep in the fridge but it is not the same. It’s like being shot in the heart to drive 30 minutes home look in the bag & see no tarter sauce. I don’t know what they put in the stuff but It made me want to drive back to the store and throw the food back through the drive through window. Super upset!!! Curse you captain D’s. You break my heart!!! I even asked the cashier last time & they said «it’s in there»… So terrible u should be ashamed! If I go back I may hold the place up for all of its tarter sauce!!! Help me out here Captain!

Captain D’s — I didn’t know what to expect when I saw you are technically a «seafood restaurant.» But don’t think of the Red Lobster or Bonefish Grill sort, instead think more like Long John Silvers or Snappers.
Yes– that means LOTS of fried seafood. But at unbeatable fastfood prices. $ 2.99 lunch specials sounds good to me.
We opted for the Seafood Feast which we got a coupon in the the mail for, highly NOT recommended unless you really have a family to feed because it fed us for the entire weekend until we were so sick of it, it will be a long time til we go back.
The best things to order: premium shrimp, deviled stuffed crabs, hush puppies, fried okra, mac n cheese, and of course, don’t go without the homemade sweet tea.
