Literally, the only saving grace for the Peking Chinese Restaurant in Ruston, LA is how wide its variety of garbage is. The management is also subpar. For example, the head manager just recently fired an employee for taking time off to care for her dying mother(who ended up passing away.) Not counting that incident, this particular manager is regularly aloof and rude at times to multiple customers, as I’ve witnessed personally. If you’re a Ruston native or just passing through, do yourself a huge favor and eat at the nearby China Wok & Mongolian BBQ if you’re in the mood for Chinese. Don’t give these people any business by wasting your money on garbage. I honestly wish I could give this particular Peking zero stars.

This place is fantastic! There are a lot different foods to choose from. Love the General TSO chicken, and Ham Lomein. They also have sushi and hibachi as well. I just move over here, and very like it. Will be back!

I do not know why this buffet just two star, dinner 10bucks, it is cheap and taste is good ! Everything is ok nothing wrong, if there is more fruits I will give five star, also I recommend rise the price and more fruits, and I enjoyed my dinner here.

Buffet totally unremarkable. The hibachi grill was a joke. It was an extension of the buffet. Nothing was being prepared to order. Not sure how this place stays in business.

Totally unremarkable food. Typical for buffets, food looks OK, but lacks in taste and texture. Every single piece of «sushi» had cream cheese in it. If you come here to eat sushi, then you really don’t know what sushi is. The service was good, my iced tea never went dry. Good value I guess if all you want to eat for is to make a turd.

I m in this restaurant right now. Just stepped in 5 minutes ago and ready to step out. Saw employees putting and removing food from the trays with their bare hands. Disgusting!

This buffet has tons to choose from: all sorts of tasty flavored meats that I could not try since I don’t eat meat but looked good, many types of rices and noodle options, dumplings, seafood choices, but I’d say the best this place has to offer is SUSHI. Out of the 20 or so dishes to choose from in the two row buffet lines, there is off to the left side a sushi buffet spot. This includes all cooked sushi, nothing raw. However, the choices are actually pretty decent. They have a couple california basic rolls and a couple fancy tempura deep-fried fancy rolls. All in all the sushi was my favorite part. On top of the cheap lunch prices of less than $ 7 a person, with sushi, that’s a steal. And if you have room they also have good desserts too. An oreo cheesecake one and custard that were both my favorites. Usually I skip dessert at buffets but not here. Compared to the other big buffet in town, this one stacks up nicely. The pros are the sushi and dessert, but the general food is where they aren’t quite exceptional and the other place excels. Loses a star for the lack of exciting regular dishes and another for the tacky and unsightly décor in desperate need of renovations. Thankfully, they do have some good things to offer. Cool deal: get a take-out box for the same price and you can jam-pack it full and take it home to split for two people.
