I’ve been here at least four times. 3 out of 4 times the food was really good. On the one time that it wasn’t as good I was disappointed mostly with the cut of the meat. I don’t understand why in LA the health dept doesn’t allow the BBQ business to slap on the sauce. I’m used to having my BBQ served with sauce already well spread on my meat. Other than that, this place is definitely a shack but the food is delicious. I like the soda choices and the thick bread is also a winner! I don’t mind the place being less than dolled up but I wish they’d fix the ceiling on the inside of the establishment. With the aforementioned said, if you want some good BBQ this place can quench that desire in a heartbeat! Check them out, you won’t be disappointed.

First off, this place is not a sports bar, not sure who put that up on here as that. It is literally a shack on the highway that is attached to the home of the people who cook the best ribs I’ve ever had. Coming from Texas(where bbq is supposed to be really good), that’s saying a lot. Their ribs are SO tender and flavorful. They literally fall off the bone and they aren’t even baby back ribs, they are normal full size pork ribs and for a good price, you can get a rack and feed a bunch of people. I’m sad they didn’t have the load baked potato when I came this time because that is totally awesome too. Every time i pass through Ruston, I try to make a stop here because it’s just so good! They run out quick though so come early!
