Eek! Methinks not is right. This place is a scam. The guy charged me $ 40 upfront to repair my salt-stained boots, and all he did was color them. First rainstorm of the week and they were back to the way they were before I took them in. What was the point of that? He also threw out my perfectly usable shoe laces so I had to buy a new set, which he conveniently had on offer. I’d stay as far away as you can from this place.

Is there a way to post negative stars?! This man took my money TWICE! Refused to pay me back when I realized my mistake and is a THIEF! Don’t use him!!!

I took my beloved Kor-Ease shoes there for repair. The strap on the side was broken and the heel was wearing down. Wore them twice after the repair and the strap broke again and I fell down in the middle of a New York street… not to mention that the heel is already starting to wear down. The owner does not speak English, or at least this is what he had trouble with when I asked him why the black rubber heel had been replaced with a brown one. I would not recommend this repair shop, based on this. I will just take the financial loss and go somewhere else to have them fixed. I doubt he’d do anything different – and the last thing I want to do is flop down in the middle of a dirty side walk again. It’s a cash only business… and now I know why.
