After seeing an ad for this shop in an antiques map, I decided to call before making the long drive. Upon calling I got a woman on the phone, a very rude woman. When I questioned her to her stock and what I was after, she told me she had ITALL… so I decided to make the drive. The shop is huge, a big mall space deep with inventory… items beautifully displayed, easy to navigate, although like the previous reviewer stated, its dark, but ads to the allure. The problem is… NOTHINGISVINTAGE! The antiques around, yes… there were some nice pieces, and interesting, but I called specifically for vintage and antique clothing… a small chunk of ordinary victorian whites, maybe 8 total, 21950’s dresses, 1 misdated 1920’s dress, and a victorian collar that had been hot glued to keep the beads on. My interests are vast… men’s and women’s 1960’s and back… and when I am ready to spend, I spend… if I cannot find a single piece in my vast field, THEREIS A PROBLEM! The owner wouldn’t come to the counter to help me, had a lovely girl help me instead. She helped me as much as she could, but how is she to know the stock when the owner herself hasn’t a clue… I question why on earth this place is published in any antiques papers at all! Its a consignment shop, selling pieces from Lauren to Lands End, nothing height of quality, no designer, and above all, NOTHINGOLD I cannot figure the deal with the tags marked with the $ 650 crossed off, with a new lower price written in… so many of these tags were around… possibly as a temptation to get one attracted to the substantially lower $ 98 price… but it just goes with the insanity of the owner, who has hand sized tacky labels ironed into the backs of each garment, no matter how useless and generic it is. MISREPRESENTED and RUDE! The owner needs to be eductated in what is actually vintage, as well as common manners! Don’t waste any energy getting to this place
