For a roadside, walk up and order type of place, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The fries were fresh cut, the burger was hand pattied and the fried zucchini was simply breaded and nice and crisp. We ordered to go, but you could have taken a tray to one of the outdoor tables, some of which were on the hill in the shade, and there was area for the kids to play and run as well. While we didn’t try them, there was a number of seafood items on the menu and seemed popular with the locals. I would put this on my list of dives and drive-ins to visit again.
They also have creemees, or as we call them down south, soft serve, and other ice cream products such as milkshakes and sundaes.

This place is awesome. They even have items for healthy eaters… like turkey burgers. Very yummy, with nice green leaf lettuce, tomatoe and what looked and tasted like a home made roll!
Great hand cut French fries and huge selection of ice cream!

This is the place where, if I’d grown up in Rutland, I would have been every Saturday night eating delicious burgers, shotgunning warm beers from my trunk and flirting with all the townie girls with my townie friends before heading out to do… whatever the hell people from Rutland do on a Saturday night. Shooting squirrels and doing donuts in your pickup, I presume?
