Discount Tire Store – Sachse, TX

I made an appointment for 9:00AM Saturday to get new tires put on my boat trailer. I showed about about then, dropped the boat off, went and had breakfast and by the time I was back they were done and I was out the door. While that doesn’t sound like anything groundbreaking, you can bet this is not a normal occurrence anymore, especially at chain automotive service centers. True customer service is largely lost these days, except for Discount Tire. They will continue to get my tire business.

Discount tire bent my wheel. They machine bent the lip of my rim. All four 22 inch rim.

So, I’ve bought tired from discount tire for YEARS. Never had an issue with anything at all… until today. I show up (granted 5 minutes past closing with people still there and bay doors open with vehicles in them) to see if my tire can be looked at since it was near flat when I got off work. Tim (the manager) opened the locked door and asked what he could do for me. I explained the situation and he reminded me of their hours… not in a kind way or even matter of fact… but as if I interrupted his closing.
I asked «Are you able to help me?»
His reply, «Well you’re already here.»
Gee, I didn’t know your hours and it JUST happened. It’s not like I PLANNED this.
There was also a discrepancy regarding who’s name the account was under. I got this car from a friend and unbeknownst to me, I got her number. All he kept saying was «That’s impossible!!!» Um… people get new numbers all the time and they get recycled– just FYI. After waiting for him to get over that, he finally updated the account with my info.
Now, I will say the technician who explained what they did and help me back out was outstanding!!! I feel sorry the guy has to deal with Tim though.
I won’t EVER go back to this location even though it is closer to my house. I’ll drive to another site for much better service and I HIGHLY recommend you do the same.

Wow this place is awesome! These guys are honest, professional and always get the job done well. Their service was extremely fast, I was in and out less than 30 minutes. I came in for a tire repair, and it was free! Excellent service, would come back anytime.

Great fast service. I took my car for 2 new tire replacements because I thought they were due. (I’m not a car guru). I had already ordered the tires online. The service clerk inspects the tires and asks me why I did I want to replace them? I told him that I thought they were due for replacement. He shows me with a visual how my tires were still in very good shape! I was very impressed with the honesty and character of the clerk! I’ve never written a review. But I felt the need to do so in this case. Saved my money until I need to replace tires. I will definitely be coming back here!

We go to this Discount Tire Store for all our cars– they are always courteous and professional– Anthony helped us out today and he gave us great customer service. We special ordered tires, which were there waiting on us and our car was ready before they told us it would be– we have never had anything but pleasant experiences at this Discount Tire

We just had a little ice and snow, which causes lots of new potholes. My wife hit one and it tore the sidewall. I had special ordered these tires from them with the full road hazard warranty. I went to them knowing they may have to order the tire in. They told me that if it is in the warehouse it will be here tomorrow or if they have to get it from Pirelli it will be a couple of days. I left them the ruined tire and thankfully a good rim. A little over an hour after I left they called me and let me know the tire will be here around 11 – 1 tomorrow. Around noon the next day they said it was here and ready to be put on. I got there and in less than 10 minutes the tire was on, paperwork signed and the car sitting at the door ready for me.

I just wanted to let NTB Corporate and the public to know how loyal customers are being treated at NTB Sachse Tx location that have had negligent sub-​standard work performed on their vehicle at the Sachse Texas location which caused additional corrective work to be done by a more knowledgeable company: Ford. Let me start this conversation by one informing NTB that no longer receive any more business from me, any of my relatives, co-​workers, or close friends. Let me also add that I just received a call from Mike Cossey (972−675−4012)at 2:22 pm today, who at first told me that after talking to his regional manager that NTB was offering $ 423 comp on my estimate from Ford. He then told me we would call me back once I explained that it was not a estimate, rather it was a bill that I paid for Ford to correct the substandard work that NTB performed on my vehicle to «fix» the oil plug that NTB stripped out to begin with and refused to replace it correctly because they said my oil leak was coming from elsewhere on the engine (timing chain cover). And that I was wanting to file a claim on NTB in order to collect the cost of damages they created to my vehicle from their «fixing» my oil plug incorrectly. He then called me back and said that the insurance company would need the part that was damaged by NTB or they would deny my claim. Let me start by saying that both times I have been up there they have not once said that they did not do the damage, in fact Luis Vargas even admitted that they used a Helicoil to fix the stripped out pan. But today the Store Manager Mike Cossey says that they don’t use Helicoils to fix stripped out oil plugs, they «recap» instead. Also no one ever explained to me that NTB required the part that they looked at twice in order to decide if they are going to reimburse me for the oil pan, because while I did bring my car up to NTB twice and supplied NTB with the invoice from Ford showing that the work was performed and corrected NTB needs further proof. Just what kind of business tactic is this exactly? Is a national chain such as NTB so broke or hard up for money that they can’t correct their own mistake, or even take responsibility for their actions that costs their customers even money. I wonder what the Better Business Bureau will say about this complaint/​claim. they need to correct that mistake by making me whole for the expenses and costs that I paid for due to their cutting corners to «fix» some substandard work that they performed on my vehicle. I also would suggest that NTB consider the type of employees that they have representing them at the Sachse Texas location as I believe that these employees don’t have the best interests of the company at heart.
I have already submitted a formal complaint against the NTB @ Sachse Texas location for sub standard work performed which caused further damage to my vehicle that they serviced on January 7^th 2015. I From day one, I have been mislead by NTB because they are covering up their quick fix to my vehicle. Louis Vargas treated me rudely and in my opinion should not be a manager of any kind, Mike Cossey either lied to me on the phone or does not know how to do his job correctly, and the regional manager did lie to me stating that me had not talked to Mike Cossey, when in fact he did because Mike Cossey stated he did to me twice. All three should be fired from their positions at NTB, as not one of them ever denied that the «helicoil» was installed on my vehicle and until someone can tell me that fix was the correct and proper fix, also I talked to Ford today and they tell me that NO ONE has called them to ask for their input or much less what they saw as damage done to my vehicle, so maybe you should think about letting some other company handle our claims management as Sedgwick has not done at discovery or due diligence on this issue either. I will be turning this matter over to my family attorney and will be now seeking damages, time lost, expenses, and legal fees from NTB and Sedgwick.
I want everyone to know that their employees are not educated and honest and the company itself it was honest towards their customers, I would stay away from NTB, spend your money elsewhere to service your car, I have learned my lesson. $ 68 has now cost me $ 1012 only a month later and NTB won’t even return my phone call. Talk about a brand name image, Ford fixed my vehicle correctly the first time. Stay away from NTB or Tire Kingdom mainly the Sachse Tx location.

i had a great customer experience at this location. this was my very first visit at this location. Tim, i believe he is the manager who took care of me. from the beginning he was very courteous, showed all the soft skills he had :). he discussed my needs, provide me with multiple options, help me select the best product fits my need, no pressure! provide me more knowledge then i ever had before, to understand how i can prolong the life of tire instead of keep replacing earlier than expected. Time expected for my car to be ready exceed then what was expected but normally that happens every where.
Over all, clean location, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, free coffee and water bottles, BUT no Wi-​FI. Tim informed me that they are working on it, hope to see that in future.
only reason i am not giving 5, because i can see there is some opportunity. i think it will be great if some one is waiting for more than an hour, They should be informed on the status.

Fantastic staff working here. Always friendly, polite, professional and prompt. They’ve done a great job every time I’ve been here, from complete tire replacement to routine balance and rotation. When I looked up tire pricing they have always been competitive.

We’ve had many experiences with DT in Sachse, Rockwall, Richardson, Plano, and even Colorado Springs, CO. I think they have an integrity and customer service ethic that drives their success. Are there cheaper tires out there? Maybe. Is there fancier service? Maybe. What keeps me coming back is the intersection of high quality service and price. The experience in Colo. clenched it. It was like we were at our home store. Cons? Well, they are in the selling business so you might get some up-​sale.

It was pouring rain this morning and of course I had a nail in my tire. They fixed it fast (and for free of course) and I was back on the road! Friendly and fast service… thanks!

I really like this location. I’ve been going to discount tires for years and have not had a bad experience with them at any location. I always make an appointment and my car is always ready when they say it will be ready. I always call ahead and make sure that they have my tires in stock before coming too. The guys are very nice and are always happy to help. The warranty on the tires are well worth it too. I got a flat tire driving to San Antonio once and the warranty covered the new tires. All I had to do was pay for a new warranty on the new tires. It’s cheaper in Dallas than in San Antonio though.

I’m not sure how the previous review can be on the opposite spectrum of my experience. Unless they have had staffing changes, everyone was clean cut. There was not a ghetto experience. I scheduled my appointment online, showed up about 10 minutes early, and had no issues.
Of course sales will be sales, because anyone in the tire selling business wants to sell you there most profitable tire. They can give you the list of what they have in stock and you can choose fore yourself.

The tires were dense toy priced and they did a good job, however the customer service was horrible. The man that helped me barely said 2 words never explained to me what was being done to my car. He did say it won’t take too long. My car took 3 hours to get finished. I do not recommend this location to anyone that cares about their time or customer service.

Discount Tire is a solid company that I have been doing business with for 10+ years and I still will… just not at this location.
I wish that I could still bring my truck to the Sachse location because of the convenience, but I can no longer trust the employees there and neither should you.
Discount Tire in Sachse either employs cons or they have instilled a dishonest style of business among their staff. My last visit I took my truck in for a tire rotation and repair. The process took over 2 hours to complete. Although unacceptable, that is not the issue. I was told that the damaged tire was not repairable due to sidewall damage. This is very understandable given it is a safety and legal matter. I asked to see the damage and they would not show me. That’s when it seemed shady so I refused the new tire and left. The following week I took my truck to the location on Coit Rd. and Bush to repair the tire. In 45 minutes my truck pulled up to the front door. I asked the tech what the issue was and he said that I had a screw in the top of the tread and all was well.
A previous visit to the Discount Tire in Sachse was with my brother in law to rotate his tires on his truck. The rep told us that it was «not worth his time» to rotate the tires and wanted to sell him four new tires when it was not needed. Needless to say we left. However, we returned the following week and spoke to another rep at the same store. The tires were rotated with no questions asked.
Sachse Discount employs dishonest thieves. They treat their customers like idiots, but those who question their up-​selling or their refusal for repairs will discover that they are most likely being scammed.
Discount is a good company with a good reputation, but this location puts a scar on that. I’ll continue to do business with Discount but not the Sachse location. Don’t be taken for a fool… NTB is right next door or the Coit and Bush location will treat you right.

I was very impressed by the staff at this location. I hit a curb and destroyed my front tire, and brought it in to be replaced. I called them ahead of time to see of they would match or beat a price at NTB and they said they would. But when I got there, he asked me where I bought it (it was a very new tire) and I told him I bought it from them. We went inside, he pulled me up on their computer and verified my earlier purchase, and then told me instead of paying the $ 129 price at NTB, he could get me a new tire for $ 45! I was shocked to say the least, because he did this without my asking, and he could have easily made a hundred dollars more from me if he wanted to, and I would have been happy to pay it. I was so happy I had enough money left over to get my car aligned as well as an oil change!

I desperately needed four new tires on my car but could only afford two right away. I planned to replace the two that were in the worst shape, and then the others in a few weeks. I decided that since I love my car and will keep it for a while, I would shell out the cash for some quality tires this time (unlike the lousy Kumho tires I put on last year). I made an appointment online to have two Michelins installed.
When I got to the store it was really busy with people getting ready to travel for Thanksgiving. Chris S. greeted me and then looked me up in the computer. He couldn’t find the appointment so I showed him the email confirmation on my mobile. He was very apologetic and promised to get me in right away. When we went out to my car, I explained that I could only buy two tires due to a tight budget.
To my surprise, Chris worked some magic and was able to get four top-​rated Michelins for me at a price I could manage, and I was on my way within 45 minutes! I even have a $ 70 rebate on top of that. While I spent more than I intended to today, I saved a ton overall thanks to Chris and his wonderful customer service.
Chris has given me one more thing to be thankful for. You rock!

Great place to purchase and repair run flats. It may take a day or two to order what you want, but once they are in they provide very quick, friendly service. No pressure to buy a full set and they are always willing to attempt a repair first, which is hard to find with run flats. Glad they are nearby.

I’ve used Discout Tire exclusively for the past 10 years or so. The guys at this location have been nothing but professional and very customer service oriented. Free water!
And every time I’ve come in, They’ve always gone out of their way to get me the best deal possible.
The tires on my Explorer are $ 172 each (before shop fees, disposal, etc) everywhere else, but I just got 3 installed here for $ 322 including all shop fees.
I have had leaks fixed several times and I’ve never been charged.
