The service was quick and easy considering for once they did not have a line out the door. That should have been my first hint. I order a super carna asada burrito and by far I have had better. My burrito included salsa, which I wish I had told them to not include it inside of my burrito. This made it very soggy/wet and off-putting. My burrito was dripping everywhere however, the flavors were not to bad at all. Also, I would stay away from the chips. The free chips that came with the meal were very stale. I basically used the stale chips to eat it with my new«burrito soup». Some people may like eating their burrito with extra sogginess to them. I personally don’t unless I order a «wet burrito»

Great breakfast burritos! Smaller portion but great value! Enjoyed a chorizo and egg with cheese breakfast burrito.

This place is the best! The service is great. I go for work midweek lunches. The food is cheap and served up quickly. Plus, they put on soccer games for me whenever I arrive. I highly recommend.

Line can be kind of long during lunch, but once you’ve been there once(or read this review) you know to call ahead :) Their breakfast burritos are just the right size and price($ 3.50), chorizo is a good choice. but if it’s cooked just right, I’d take the eggs and potatoes over it. The downside to this is sometimes the potatoes are slightly undercooked and can be a bit um. crunchy? Their burritos are ok, meat is slightly dry. but what makes up for it is their awesome«hot» salsa. If you’re a chili head like me, make sure to ask them for the extra spicy stuff they have behind the counter, it’s no joke. but it’s darn good. Oh, and also you can ask them to put salsa IN your burrito when they make it, so they have that goin’ for them, which is nice.

I was carving carna asada so I decided to drop by here for lunch one day. My office is relatively close so I was able to walk over there fairly quickly. I heard this place gets busy during the lunch rush so I tried to go for a late lunch. The service was quick and the person who took my order was nice. I guess chips were only given to some people since I wasn’t given chips, I probably could have asked for some but I didn’t feel like it. Afterall, I only ordered 1 taco for ~$ 1.80. Maybe if you spend a certain amount they give you chips, I don’t know. I ordered a carne asada taco which I thought was pretty good but I am used to paying $ 1 tacos for a ton of meat. If I wanted mexican food and I was downtown and desperate I would probably be back. Some of their other items looked pretty good though.

I’ve never been a fan of any place that sells tacos over $ 1 and doesn’t sell Lengua or Tripas. I’ll get over the price of Tacos in Sac because it’s just expensive in general… but Alejandro’s is forgivable. I’m not a big fan of burritos, unless I’m drunk in the backseat of my friends car and ordering a California burrito from Aldabertos so don’t take my word on it. Now to say, their tacos are stellar. I did my order while waiting in-line during lunch rush and didn’t see that they offer lengua until I got to the counter but the pastor and carne asada I order was good. Carne Asada is just meat so I don’t have much to rave about but their pastor was good… like it was sweet and salty and the the red salsa that they put on it really complimented everything with its little kick of heat. It was weird to have pastor sweet for me because most of the times when I go to mexican restaurants, pastor is either really salty or taste like nothing, so I was caught off guard a little. The juices of the pastor ran down my hand with the salsa and ooooohh. it was just deliciousness in my mouth. I’m a sucker for good tacos and I’ll have to say for 1.65 I wouldn’t mind paying. I also had their Flautas. The chicken filling was flavorful and the side of rice and beans that came with it was good. I’m not a big fan of frijoles but to it was good, to say. All in all, I would recommend the tacos with pastor and their flautas.

Wondered in here hungry last week for my first visit ever. Was so surprised with the long line so decided why not. Tried a super burrito with no guac/pico but add sour cream & jalapeños. With this meal the burrito was so big that I needed to eat it with a fork and take it home cause it made me full quick. Great flavors and so many different meats to choose from. Look forward to visiting again. 5 out of 5!

Yum! I just took an order to go here with a former coworker and am pretty impressed. At first we were dismayed by the line out the door. A good sign, sure, but we only had so much time to grab lunch before our respective hikes back to our offices. This line proved to go quickly though, with just enough time to read the menu before being asked to order. I just finished my last savory bite of the quesadilla with carne asada. Oh I wish I could have it all over again. I’m not even a person that will normally vote for Mexican cuisine if I have a choice, but my taste buds are super happy right now. Creamy, tangy guacamole.(I know it looks odd, but it’s super good!) Salsa that packs a good spicy, tasty punch. Perfectly crisp quesadilla and perfectly cooked meat inside. I don’t even WANT to know what’s in that sour cream. If someone knows, don’t tell me. Bonus: It didn’t fill me to the point of Food Baby Status. It’s filling, but not the gross kind. This is probably the best quesadilla I’ve had in ages, and possibly, ever. Bonus Bonus: Plenty of salsa bar options, plenty of room for groups, friendly customer service, I could go on and on but I’ll spare you.

Been here a few times for breakfast and lunch. Located on K Street between 9 and 10. Simple highlights. Friendly staff. Usually fairly prompt. Large menu selections. Selections aren’t unique. Easy to follow menu. Decent pricing. Food comes hot. Proteins are tender. Sauces are okay. Chips and salsa. Nothing stellar or disappointing. Good place to visit. I would come to be left full. Good: value and service. Bad: Mindful of the k can be full of shady looking people.
