Billy’s Market & Deli

Just moments away from the Amtrak station, this little store has drinks and snacks.
There is a deli too, but we didn’t try the sandwiches because we had eaten earlier.
The man and woman at the front counter were really friendly and welcoming.
4 stars because it was not a well lit store and the shelves looked bare, but had what we wanted/​needed.

i went to buy a tamale and a drink and a pack of cigarettes. the service was okay but the deli was bare as hell. now this is my second visit. the first visit was a lot better. however after i purchased my items. i went to dine in the inside area and the cashier stop me and said dining inside are only for sandwiches. .wtf it took me as a surprise and maybe he didn’t like my kind although when i came before i was able to dine in the inside. it was no signs saying anything about in side dining for sandwich only. you would think people have signs like that, but i purchased a tamale why wasn’t i able to sit in the in side and eat. it was so many questions goning on in my head. I did speak and say that’s strange never heard that before so i decide to write this review. people should not be able to treat people like that and still run a business. i should have return everything but my smokes. i really didnt like the feeling when the cashier told me only sandwich dine in. what a rude dude:(

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this deli… The guy that owns it is a big friendly teddy bear who LITERALLY stays true to the meaning, «Just how you like it». Meaning you can order ANY sandwich/​salad just the way you want it and it turns out PERFECT!!! He owns it with help from his sisters running the place. I always get the roast beef on rye w/​avocado and peppers and its AWESOME! If you want a REALLY good sandwich (true california size) then go see BIG «B»!!!

I love this place. The staff, all family, are the friendliest people around. Great location, huge variety of snacks, drinks and other items. I recommend Billy’s special hot pastrami sandwich. He makes them the best!!!
