I stopped here one day on a whim. I had a cold and just want something in my stomach. I ordered soup and an entrée. The soup hit the spot the entrée was okay but a little bland. The service quick but driving with the soup wound up making a mess it leaked in the bag and got the box under it wet. I haven’t tried the place without a cold will have to try the burger next time.

Again… let on by all the ravings reviews. I was craving some old fashioned American Chinese food that is so bad for you but oh so good. Thought I’d pick up an easy combo and enjoy… the staff was super friendly but the food was terrible. I got some $ 7 combo that had chow mein, sweet and sour pork, foil chicken, fried rice and an egg roll. The entire container was the chow mein which had no flavor at all! Not even classic soy sauce flavor. The fried rice tasted old and again no taste at all! There wasn’t even veggies in it just dirty looking rice. :-(There was 3 tiny pieces s/s pork and 3 tiny triangles of foil chicken which at least had a good ginger flavor. The egg roll was huge but the inside was all cabbage… and no extra dipping sauce after I got home and looked inside. Ugh so disappointing. I threw the egg rolls and chow mein away cuz they were both disgusting… why do people come here?!

I hadn’t been to Chopsticks in years as I no longer live in Sacramento. I had heard rumors that after it changed ownership, the food wasn’t quite the same. Last night I got off the plane and Chopsticks was waiting for me in the car and it was very tasty — like nothing had ever changed. This is the spot for Chinese food — if only we had where I lived — I would be there all of the time.

I tried this place for the first time. I ordered the chicken chew mein and fried chicken wings that my cousin recommended. It was so delicious! The price is reasonable. The food tasted better than a regular Chinese restaurant. I’m Chinese myself and I usually very picky about Chinese food. I definitely will go back and try other dishes! I highly recommend this take out place.

Ok so tonight I picked up the BBQ pork slices, egg rolls and some pork fried rice! It was all on point! The sliced pork was very good with great flavor! The egg rolls won’t disappoint! Found my new lil Chinese take out for work!

Great food for a reasonable price. I like their green bean chicken with or without rice and the almond cookies they have are delicious as well.

cheeseburgers are pretty good here, but shouldn’t their Chinese food be better? not a fan, but I know people that like this place.

Veggie chow mein is so flavorful! Sczhuan(incorrect spelling) broccoli was the perfect amount of spicy. :) Sczhuan eggplant is to die for. Veggie egg rolls and almond cookies are delicacies! The owners are very kind & my family loves the food.

Just went here again last night… definitely smaller portions, less meat and veggies and PRICE went up. Not as good as in the past but better than the chinese food from New China next store! SKIP it…

Ok so we are wishy washy, we started going back, just not so often, only in a pinch. Hong Kong style pan fried noodles are good. Salty deep fried shrimp are not bad, but they are definitely salty, have plain unseasoned rice, unseasoned steamed veges, to balance out the incredible saltiness, which to be fair is right in the description/name. Meat portions have definitely gone way down, but noodles and other starches are plentiful with regard to portion size. General Chicken use to be nice big chunks of chicken lightly battered with a decent sauce, then something happened, thick batter and where’s the chicken, same thing with honey garlic spareribs. As another reviewer stated this place serves a purpose. And yet another reviewer praised them for their vege chow mein. If you are a carnivore I suggest their hamburger or brandy fried chicken no guarantees on the amount of beef in the hamburger or if the brandy fried tastes good, I did not order it again.

We have been getting take out here since 2009. We LOVE their chow mein. We always order a large tray for parties and all of our guests love it. They always ask where we buy it from. Plus it’s cheap. And now that I am a vegetarian they substitute meat in ALL dishes for tofu. So now. I love them even more. I highly recommend. Call in and pick up.

BEST Chinese food ever!!! I had Combo B(chow mein, fried rice, and foil wrapped chicken) for about $ 6 and it was SOOO good! Chow mein was saucy, chewy and perfect! Rice had a great flavor but just a tad dry. The foil wrapped chicken was messy and greasy but great! Also, my brother loves their french fries! I can’t say enough good things about this place =] Do note though, that this is not somewhere to sit and eat, it is ONLYTAKEOUT. Also, I payed with cash b/c people have told me they only take cash but when I was in there, I believe they do accept debit/credit cards now, but don’t quote me on that. Other than that, food was great, they had my order done quickly and were very nice serving me. I will definitely go here again!!!

My family has been ordering take out from here for 10+ years. The owners have changed, but the food is the same. The pricing is fair and it’s convenient because you just call ahead and then pick up. Our favorites are: Fried chicken — super crispy coating and the meat has a garlicky flavor. Very tasty. Tomato beef noodles — just the right amount of tomato flavor and beef. Cheeseburger — I used to wonder why a Chinese place would have burgers, but they are SO good! It’s probably because the Chinese food grease flavors the burger haha. Comes with a whole slice of grilled onion, tomato, lettuce, and mayonnaise. The bun is grilled too. A must try! Their skinny fries are pretty standard. Everything’s pretty greasy, but uh what do you expect when you order Chinese take out? Haha flavors and price are good so at least try it!

Great place to stop off on the way home. It’s always a good idea to call ahead, because the wait can be long. I love, love, love their beef & tomato with curry chow fun. It’s like Chinese spaghetti — which maybe doesn’t sound that appealing, but it really is. It’s the kind of comfort food you just yearn for. I also usually order the Mongolian Beef, which is quite good too. The prices are fantastic.

I’ve been going to Chopsticks for years. Good Americanized Chinese food. Its nothing special, but solid. Has the typical chow mein, fried rice, sweet and sour meats, and pot stickers. I usually get one of the Combos. There are also specials behind the counter. The place is takeout only. The combo plates are huge and enough to serve two. Cheap and filling. Good place for people on a budget.

So this is my first time visiting this establishment and I’m very disappointed. I walked in at 4:06 pm on February 2nd and there were no customers. I ordered the chicken combo with a side order of chicken chow mein. At 4:20pm I began writing this review after a couple of guys who came in 5 mins after me have just recieved their food and are now leaving. The lady I ordered from just walked over and asked me if I was here to pick up… Wow… She didn’t even remember I just ordered food. I’m assuming it was never started. Hence the long wait. I’m finishing this review by saying this resturant is a complete joke showing no customer service, speediness, or competency. I shall not be returning. Currently 4:25pm and still no food. Update: she gave me food but is now incorrect. This is officially ridiculous. Gave me a big tub of sweet and sour pork instead of chow mein… 4:27 pm — remaking incorrect food. 4:31pm — correct food in hand, going home Words cannot express my frustration…

This place serves a purpose and I do appreciate it: when you need something cheap and fast to eat and don’t want to drive more than a mile from home. The food is fairly disappointing and my wife has forbade me to go back there.
