Creative Juices Events

This was my first experience painting in a class. My first time painting on a canvas. It was so relaxed and fun! I went with coworkers but I’m bringing family with next time. So much fun! Aimee was an awesome teacher!

I have attended 3 different painting classes with Aimee. She is a great teacher and I have so much fun each time. The most recent class was painting a holiday ornament themed piece and I brought my best friend. Aimee leads us through the steps and you don’t have to be an artist to create something amazing.
I can’t wait until the new studio opens!

This is the second Paint Your Pet fundraiser for Sacramento Wheelchair Tennis I attended. It’s intimidating at first but Aimee makes it so easy and fun. Highly recommend this, you won’t be disappointed.

We had a very enjoyable evening and came away impressed with how well we had done! Aimee made it all seem so simple. We will definitely do this again.

My BFF and I attended a Paint and Sip fundraiser for Animal Outreach yesterday. We painted our pets! Aimee guided those of us with so little experience to produce a wonderful piece of art. Had a great time and can’t wait to do it again.

My seven year old daughter and I attended a Paint and Sip event at the Sacramento County Animal Shelter. It was amazing! Aimee was very helpful, informative, and patient. We were able to create real works of art with no experience. The food, beverages, and general atmosphere of the evening were delightful as well. We will definitely attend another Paint and Sip event with Aimee.

Aimee is just the BEST! My neighbors and I went to a Paint and SIP for LapCats this last weekend and had so much fun! I was fun, exciting and you learn as you paint! This is the second one I have been to and I will go again for sure!!! Thanks to Aimee, Leslie, Donna and everyone else, who I can’t remember, for putting on such a fun filled event for the animals! I highly recommend that everyone go… we all loved it and are still talking about it!!! Thanks to all of you! :):):):):)

I attended a fundraiser where we got to paint our dogs or cats. Aimee was great giving directions. Everyone went home with a piece of frameable art. It was a great time and lots of fun.

Wow this was a great experience! I just let go and painted, not worrying too much how I was doing compared to the person next to me. Aimee was very helpful and supportive. So were all the other participants. When I was teaching elementary school, I tried to get the kids to just let go and create from the soul. Now it was my turn, and it’s hard to tell how freeing that three hours was! Now I’m inspired to go out and buy some equipment to paint a dragonfly from a photo on the net. I’m also going back for another class next month. I can hardly wait!

This is the 2^nd «Sip & Paint» event that I attended at El Macero. It was such a great time and, surprisingly easy, with her direction. She is a great instructor… stressing that it is ok to be creative. The first event was so successful (FUN) that we couldn’t wait to try it again. I am not artistic and it was my first time painting… anyone can do it!

Just what I needed during a stressful period of time.
My awesome boss decided to put together this surprise event for us as a bonding/​relaxation type event. Not only was the surprise itself amazing, but Aimee was such a great instructor/​host of the event! We painted the «whimsical tree.» I love how she really encouraged us to tap into our creativity, while still providing us with her artistic advice and expertise.
You can tell she really loves doing this, and I had so much fun! She took all of the apprehension out of my lack of artistic ability :) I definitely want to sign up for more sessions. It’s such a unique and fun bonding activity with a group (she does a lot of private events), but you can even go by yourself to one of her restaurant sessions if you want to paint and relax with a glass of wine.

Creative Juices Events are so much fun! I attended the «Martini Dreams» event @ Hoppy Brewing Company and loved every moment. Aimee is such a delight & really takes the time to show you the appropriate techniques to painting. I plan on booking another event with some girlfriends! I highly recommend it!

This is a great way to learn more about painting techniques, enjoy a night out and meet new friends. Aimee is a fun teacher and encourages you to «go for it» — there is no wrong way! In three hours you walk away with a beautiful painting and there is nothing to clean up! Wonderful experience.

My husband & I were having drinks at Crush 29 during happy hour and saw a group of people painting and were intrigued. My husband walked over & started talking to the instructor, Amy and she explained that she guided the group through creating a painting. We talked to some of the participants & they told us they had no experience painting. It was hard to believe because they all had such lovely paintings. We can’t wait to sign up and try for ourselves. Plus we get to enjoy wine while we paint!

This is such an awesome idea and great time. Enjoy time with your friends creating art for your house. Can’t wait to do another one.

For someone who can’t even paint stick people, I have to say how impressed I am with the paintings that I’ve created at a Creative Juices event. Aimee will bring out the inner artist in you and you won’t even know it until your looking down at your masterpiece and thinking «Wow»! I did that myself?! My first painting was a whimsical floral arrangement at Piatti’s with my Mom and sister and some friends — this was a Mother’s Day gift for my mom. And this evening I brought a girlfriend to Zocalo to paint the Sunset Palms as a birthday gift for her. This makes a great gift… especially for the one who has everything or is very hard to buy for. What better way to spend an evening but with good friends, painting and sipping cocktails and forgetting about all your troubles for the day.

I hosted a Creative Juices party at my home. We all had a great time. Aimee is a great instructor and was very patient with all of us! We did the Red Poppies painting. (see my photo) I think the majority of us were surprised at how easy it was and that we had more artistic ability than we ever imagined. Aimee makes it so easy to set up in your house and has all the supplies ready to go!

I bought a Groupon for Creative Juices a couple months back, and decided to give it a try… my friend and I had a really great time sipping wine, munching on free appetizers from il fornaio, and trying out our artistic hand. I’m a grade school teacher so most of my «craft» is, let’s say, abstract. I had never tried painting on such a large canvas before, but my painting came out better than I had expected! So I was really pleased about that. Aimee and her assistant, I can’t seem to remember his name, were both really helpful and patient with us.
The only problems I had were mostly with the venue and not the instructors. We were seated outdoors in a cramped space, and once the sun went down the lighting was terrible. I think in the future it would be beneficial to have smaller class sizes, that might also help keep the class time from running over, because we were there for nearly 3 hours! But overall, it was a fun experience and I got my very own painting to keep in the end! If there were another Groupon for this class ($ 22) I would love to do it again… but I’m not too inclined to fork out $ 45 for another homemade painting.

Picture this: you and some of your favorite people (friends, significant others, coworkers…) gather in a great local restaurant and share food and drinks while you are guided through creating a painting. No skills required, just a willingness to have fun, meet cool people, and laugh!
On the website’s calendar, you can choose from a variety of featured paintings at a variety of local restaurants: everything from La Provence to Hoppy Brewing Co! Then you just show up, order your food/​drinks, and start creating!
Aimee is a former art teacher, and was a lot of fun. She encourages you to make the painting your own– change it, add to it, or make something totally different! My friend decided to turn her seahorse into «Sea hell,» (an inside joke) and surround him with flames. At first we thought, «the teacher is going to hate us,» but it was the opposite: Aimee was all for it and laughed along with us! I have little to no painting skill, but I feel that I learned a lot and I wasn’t intimidated. I wasn’t thrilled with my project (I should have stopped before I made my seahorse look like a Marine), but it was so much fun, I’d go again!
This is a great idea for friends, dates, bridal parties, social events, etc. she will also come to your house and do private parties. She supplies everything you need, including table covers, and handles the clean up afterward.
If you’re looking for something fun and different to try, you’ve just found it.
