Reopened as Café Dantorels, with some very nice outside seating and other renovations. Same awesome menu. You won’t be disappointed. Keep coming back.

I am usually a big fan of this crepeville. Parking is always available, service is great, but today was the first time I was let down by an entrée. Like my last review, I always get their fresh squeezed oj and French toast with a side of fruit. The eggs Benedict I ordered was a disaster. When it first came out, it looked great! However, their English muffin was burnt black. I asked our server if it was ok to take it back and make me another one. He did. And it came back QUICK! But my plate looked sad. The egg was not poached thoroughly. Long story short, I was disappointed. I don’t mind waiting for food, but for a chef to rush making it was not something I would expect here. The quality of food here should be consistent.

Tried this place out for the first time yesterday — pretty good! I have to mention that I love the location and the feel of the place. Super relax and chill on a Sunday afternoon. I also really like how the menu is written on a chalk board in different colors on the wall. Looks nice! I ordered the pesto and the cannelloni crepes. They were both really good! The pesto had cheese, tomato, feta, lots of pesto and black olives. The cannelloni had cheese, onions, mushrooms, cream cheese, cottage cheese and was topped with marinara sauce. Yum! Both came with house potatoes. Service was quick and everyone was nice. Easy to find street parking too! I’ll for sure be back! I want to try the curry crêpe!

The sign on the door says this Crepeville location is changing ownership and set to become Café M. The worker said they’d have the same menu, but I highly doubt it. I looked up Café M and its other location serves coffee, Korean BBQ, and has a karaōke machine. I don’t think we’ll see crepes served there. I think this location is one of the lower performing Crepeville establishments, so it’s probably best that they let it go. When I visited this location a couple weeks ago in the evening hours, there were only a couple other customers who were already eating. I ordered a cinnamon roll crêpe. The worker didn’t have enough change in his till, so he had to get a 2nd worker to give him change from hers. They weren’t ready to close, so I’m not sure why he didn’t have enough money in the register. It took 15 min. to get the crêpe, which is longer than usual when there’s nobody else ordering. It was tasty, but I’ve had a better version at the Crepeville downtown.

they should put a swatter at every table as there were just too many damn flies! it was so bad diners were killing them on the windows, tables, walls… just what I wanted as the next customer to sit down. their pesto eggplant sandwich sans cheese was delish but kinda sorta wish it was a panini. if your gonna put that many potato chunks on my plate at least make them fries. this is a great place for a side of screaming baby with your meal. what happened to taking your kid outside rather than letting them carry on for the pleasure of other diners? spare me the ruined ambience and handle your kid… CASH only

I met up with one of my besties one day for her lunch hour and we decided to eat at Crepeville — Curtis Park. From the outside, it looks like what Disney would have imagined a French-themed café to look like. Once inside, the line had almost hit the door, but I didn’t mind since I had anticipated the lunch rush. The menu is pretty sizable, so the line gave me time to decide. Once I got up to the counter to order, the girl who rang me up started out as welcoming and kind. After ordering, however, she looked at me and my credit card like I was a crazy person. She proceeded to mumble something and pointed to a tiny piece of paper that was taped to the register, which read, «cash only»(in penciled, barely legible chicken-scratch). You’d think that on their mammoth-sized menu, they’d be considerate enough to have mentioned this point. So she directed me to the ATM by the restrooms and told me to «hurry up.» Uhh.okay. When I returned, gone was her smile and initial patience. Good thing she isn’t in the service industry – oh wait… Anyway, I ordered the Chicken Curry Crêpe and it was so… meh. Talk about being completely underwhelmed! Everything on my plate was dry and salty. The crêpe itself – hard and crusty. The chicken was incredibly dry and bland; the measly amount of shriveled bell peppers that accompanied it barely warranted the name curry – there was no curry inside this crêpe to be had! It had the slightest flavor of curry, but other than that hint, I would have never known. On top of that, half of my plate was potatoes. Just pan-fried, salty potato chunks. All I can remember about that«meal» was that it was starchy and dry. I have no idea what went wrong here. The place is cute and the line is long. However, the more important aspects were lacking – the service is bipolar and the food is laughably sub par. This place is all hype and I happily won’t be returning.

Thank you, Crepeville for teaching me that crepes can be DELICIOUS! After a terrible experience different crêpe place, I was convinced that they were disgusting, and over-hyped. Oh man, was I wrong! The BF and I went in here one fine morning, and it was packed, with all sorts of people — business people, college kids, hippies, bikers, it seems like everybody loves Crepeville! It was wonderful for people-watching while we waited on our food. Mmm, the food! I got a Chicken Curry Crêpe, and it was TO-DIE-FOR. I would never have thought that curry & crêpe could go together so well! It came with a side of sour cream which I dipped not only my potatoes(which were also MEGADELISH) into, but I also dipped my crêpe into it. I could say something about the interesting duality of flavors that this provided, but I’m too busy drooling. My boyfriend got the Greek Delight, and from the one bite I took, it was equally life-altering. I will definitely be going back again… I can’t wait to try a blintz!

I lived down the street from this place and become close to addicted to the omelets and lose leaf tea. You can build your own omelet or order one of their specialties. They also make delicious crepes and pancakes. The strawberry nutella crêpe is my favorite. This place is cash only, but well worth it. The out door seating on a nice day can’t be beat.

Love to come here when it is nice outside so I can sit outside with my pups and enjoy a nice breakfast/brunch. I always end up getting some tea(love the Darjeeling) and a savory crêpe or breakfast plate and a dessert crêpe(strawberry nutella FTW) to share with my mom. It is just enough and my girls really enjoy the people and pets they get from the passersby. There are shady places to sit outside and it is a perfect place to enough some nice weather with the doggies where they are welcome and can join you.

About a year ago, I was getting my hair done and smelled something wonderful coming from one of the stylist’s plates. She told me the deliciousness came from Crepeville. A week or two later, I made my way there, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Crepeville gave me my first crêpe experience, and I wasn’t a bit disappointed. Crepes are just thin enough to not be overpowering and just thick enough to hold in all the goodness inside them. Crepeville has limitless choices, but I normally build my own crêpe with chicken apple sausage, spinach, and cheese w/a side of potatoes. When I say the choices are limitless, I mean the wall-wide chalkboard style menu contains just about anything one can even think she wants, whether it be in a crêpe or on a bun. I’ve eaten other selections from the menu, but, I must say, the breakfast/brunch is my favorite. The price is right, the scenery is beautiful(can’t go wrong with Curtis Park), patrons can eat inside or outside, and the food feels good going down. The most important thing to remember is Crepeville doesn’t take debit cards(I’m a serious swiper), so remember to bring cash(there is an ATM there, but it can be kinda iffy acting).

Expected a lot, but it wasn’t what I expected. I’ve heard a lot about this place from friends, and it’s always one of the go to spots down the street from the theatre that my club has annual performances at. It took 3 years to finally go and try this since I heard about it. I went in expecting a lot from the rave reviews, but I think my expectations were a little high. This is located off of a busy road in the middle of midtown not too far away from some businesses. There isn’t much parking but it isn’t a big problem. Most of the street parking is only 2-hour parking. There is outside seating and plenty of spots inside. When you walk in, you can see the gigantic menu which is a pretty cool touch. Before you order, make sure you have money, because they take cash only. There is a nearby ATM if needed. I honestly never heard of crepes other than desert crepes, and I, myself haven’t really been a big crêpe eater, so this was all very new to me. It took a while to choose an item because there are a lot, but I went with the Chicken Pesto. I would have gotten a desert crêpe, but I’m a broke college student. It did not take long for my order to arrive so I did my usual photo of food and dove in. Upon taking my first bite, I thought it tasted delicious… until the latter tastes that followed. After each delicious initial bite, the food becomes bland and almost tasteless. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the taste, but I wished that it held on until each stage of the bite. It’s like the experience of chewing on Juicy Fruit, GOOD, then okay. I’m not sure how my review would have been if I were to include a desert crêpe, but I guess I’ll updated my review if I ever go back. Overall, I found the food that I ordred okay, It’s definitely worth the try. I can’t say what I think in comparison to other crêpe restaurants, because I’m not that big on them. In the end, I would go here again, but it’s not my first choice in food in general.

I’ve been coming here for years. They have all sorts of amazing dishes here. Some of my favorites are: Fuji salad, Greek salad, the burger, the chicken sandwich, their breakfast is amazing; the portions are huge for any meal you buy. I’m also a huge fan of their half deals; half sandwich and soup or half salad and half sandwich, etc. I’m not really a crêpe person, but have tried their chicken pesto crêpe; it was just okay, too fancy for me I think. I love the eggplant sandwich and Mexican rice soup. Yum. :)

Came here for breakfast with my cousin. It was my first time but it looked so much like Crêpe Escape I expected the same experience even though my cousin said she didn’t like it as much. Slightly different in a bad way. I got the cheapest thing on the menu that seemed worth it, french toast. I love french toast so it’s pretty easy to please me. The lady with a slight accent brought one when we ordered two and seemed pretty confused when we told her. They looked really nice but they were pretty bland. Someone else’s dish included potatoes and they were not as good as Crêpe Escape and everything on the menu included less and was a tad more expensive. It seemed more like a neighborhood joint for regulars. Pros: Looks good, friendly service, nice interior. Cons: Average taste, get your own water(if you drink a lot, constantly), a bit pricey for what you get, servers always sound confused about everything including communicating with one another.

Great atmosphere but no fries. I was immobile in the area for a couple hours and came to Crepeville for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I had a pretty good, and very well-priced turkey sandwich. Plus a star for not charging for the avocado(but I left lots of other stuff off, so was really a wash for them). The potatoes were lackluster for breakfast red potatoes with too many herbs, and a very disappointing side to my lunch. I would really prefer some french fries, which one might expect at a french crêpe place, but I digress. The seating is ample, but needs more space outdoors. You order at the counter and they bring out your food in a jiff. I ended up reading the paper for over an hour, so they are OK with you hanging around for a bit.

I used to live across the street(literally took about 2 minutes walk) from this erstwhile café-now-cum crêpe place… and did a boatload of studying and imbibing at such a great space. there’s an upstairs loft as well… Had to drive by and take a peek when I came home for Mother’s Day… wonder if I’ll ever try a crêpe, as there are so many different crêpe places in Sac.

good place for a Sunday brunch, a little packed though(which may be the reason for the poor service)… the chocolate crepes are tasty(but too sweet at the last bites), the salmon sandwich is a bit greasy. I will definitely go back for a breakfast or a brunch, but not dinner.

There’s two of these restaurants in the area and they both have the same menu. The other one is on 1730 L Street. I like this one more because it’s less packed. I received my order in 10 minutes rather than 30 minutes later. We had the California(with added Ham because there’s no meat on the dish), French Toast, Ham & Cheese, Chicken Fettuccini, and Strawberry Nutella. All tasted good, but what really stood out was the French Toast. This is the best I ever had, it was fluffy with the right amount of sweetness. Most of their dishes come with house potatoes and those are consistently yummy. Service is prompt(other than the long lines which you can’t blame them for). The food comes out hot and fresh — worth the wait.

I like getting breakfast here. I always order the same thing when going here, the Florentine or the basil crêpe, i’ve had some of the others and there all pretty good, but honestly i dont really stray far from those. They give you a hearty portion of potato’s with the meal and with drink it’s under ten bucks which i think is a pretty good deal. this place is almost dead on squat n gobble in s.f. …even down to there multi-colored chalk board. some things to keep in mind when going here… 1. they take cash only but theres an atm in the back hallway that charges a 2 dollar fee 2. all the f-ing tables outside are wobbly 3. it’s café style so don’t be butt hurt if nobody wipes your ass for you when you sit down.

Considering how big and bold this place is, you’d think it would provide a bit more quality. I’m just not that impressed. If you have a large crêpe shop with other choices, they should be just as good as your main claim to fame. Service was almost nonexistent. No one greeted me. The cashier didn’t show until I walked up to the register. She immediately walked away after I paid. The cook rang the bell to let her know my order was ready and it didn’t show until I had finished reading a full page article on their wall. Needless to say, the food wasn’t as hot as it could have been. Orange juice was fresh squeezed. House potatoes almost weren’t worth the trouble. I had to add salt to them to bring out the flavor — not a good sign. The crêpe itself was good. Nice chunks of chicken with pesto spread, onions, tomatoes and provolone cheese. As the menu says, it was savory. The food itself was good enough, but I’ve had better crepes at other places and definitely could find better service. This is 2010, so why the cash and checks only? The music they play there is too much bumping and thumping. I rushed to get out of before the rave started.

BREAKFASTREVIEW: If you place a $ 200 order, you’ll really notice an improvement in service. They helped me bring my take out to my car, even gave me an entire bottle of ketchup and tobasco for free! They provided utensils and plates — something not every restaurant does. The fresh baked muffins were amazing, and so was the banana bread(the first one I found without nuts!) and hello? Nutella banana bread?! So moist and soft, and they slice thick, gigantic pieces! Get your breakfast, your lunch, and your dessert all in one place. Servings are generous, even the salads are gigantic, and everything is pretty solid. Crapville has now been upgraded to Crepeville. P. S. Don’t get the coffee. That’s actually still crappy.
