Definitely one of the best taco places around, kind of hole in the wall because it’s hidden next to a laundry place and same shopping center as pollo loco. But they have REAL tacos here people! My favorite place to come during lunch at work because you can’t go wrong with the tacos! Always delicious and on point, they add a super yummy and spicy salsa on the tacos already so if you don’t like spicy make sure you ask without salsa and pick from the little salsa bar they have. Lots of fresh veggie options they odd to add onto your taco don’t be afraid to pack a few things on yours!

Came in here for the first time today and had a couple of steak tacos. They were very good. The service was good as well and the selection of salsas is good as well. Fresh tortilla chips with your meal is serve your self but very plentiful.

I always stop here after having my nails done at one of the surrounding businesses. They are okay mexican food. Their sort of skimpy on the cilantro and the salsa is different sometimes good different sometimes bad… I like they have a spicy salsa that is actually spicy. And the meats are just kinda okay. I like how friendly the staff is and how quickly prepares your food. I always order a torta or carnitas tacos here, their floutas are also good. Buritos aren’t bad here either, I see alot of people get them. They have a lunch special for tacos that my family tends to like with rice and beans and a drink. Parking here is not hard to find its in a parking lot with several other stores you will not need to walk far unless you choose to. I appreciate this business is children friendly and they don’t fuss much if your child is «active».

Horrible customer service. They don’t greet you right away. I just kept getting stared at until I finally said hello. Before I ordered, I also asked for change for a $ 10 bill so I could do some laundry next door while eating lunch. Rudely, the cashier replied that she didn’t have change, even though the customer in front of me paid with all cash! I get that it sometimes might be frustrating to be located next to a laundromat because everyone probably comes in asking for change, but I was also ordering food! Very rude and unhelpful. Would rather do business elsewhere.

I ordered the chicken taco salad. When I asked the cashier what all comes in it she said avocado, meat, cheese, beans, lettuce, and sour cream. What I got: old lettuce, rice??, chicken(delicious), sour cream, and uncut tomatoes. No cheese or avocado in sight. I’m so mad because my friends told me this place was good so that’s why I tried it. I paid $ 8 for the salad and it was baby size! I gave them two stars because the chicle. Was good and the salsa verde was good too. I will give them another try later but as of right now I give them two stars.

This place is such a great, hidden little gem! It’s located to the left and towards the back of the El Pollo Loco. Food tastes really authentic and homemade. Free chips and salsa bar, which is always a plus in my book. We got the 4 tacos + can of soda special($ 5.99) and a burrito + can of soda special($ 5.99), both of which are advertised on the windows outside. You have your choice of meat and there is plenty to choose from. The buche and cabeza tacos were flavorful and chock full of meat. I got the burrito with carne asada and it also had rice, beans, and pico de gallo inside. Normally, I prefer to have guac in my burritos but I honestly didn’t even miss it in this one. The carne asada was delicious and had a nice, grilled flavor. I hate the places where the carne asada just seems steamed or boiled, is grey, and generally lacks flavor. Also, all of the food came out super fast and was piping hot. Love this place and it’s definitely going to be a regular in our dining routine. Highly recommend!

Came by myself on a Thursday afternoon around 1:30 pm. 1 other guest was there and 2 other parties came in. I ordered just a steak quesadilla. Tasted great. Fresh and warm, used flour tortilla, good balance of cheese and meat. I order for dine-in so food came in a tough paper plate just in case which is great for Mexican food so that when there is salsa it would not seep through. Like any other mexican restaurant have free chips and salsa on dine-in order. Overall good variety of mexican food. Establishment wise, good size restaurant. About 2 small tables seating 2, 4 tables that could seat at least 4. TV inside but it was playing spanish channels. Overall nice place. Would not mind coming back. Kind of hard to find good«divey» type of mexican restaurants in Elk Grove, especially in comparison to some southern California ones.

I like this place tacos are very cheap and they have free drinks if you buy four tacos mon –fri. The salsa bar is limited but they’re not stingy at all. I usually order out so I don’t know how the dining experience is but the lady seems very nice. I will definitely be back.

Ok I had gone here before and the food was hit and miss and yesterday I felt like getting some tacos and a bowl of menudo. Which was some of the best and worst food that I have had to date. Lets start with the best the tacos are amazing little bites of heaven and they are cheap at a buck a piece. Trust me get a few of these a nice cold cerveza and you will have a meal to tell your grandkids about. The menudo however was the biggest disappointment that I have had in a long time. The broth was as close to flavored water as you can get and it wasn’t even that spicy(I am not kidding I have a roommate that isn’t keen on spicy and he tasted it and even HE agreed that it was bland). There was also no lime or fresh chilis included with this meal(only dry chilis… really?). And the beef tripe was frozen. and then added to the mix. What does that do the tripe boys and girls? It makes it inedible! It covers it in a layer of slime and makes it horrible to eat. Needless to say I took two or three bites and watched it go down the drain along with around seven bucks. This place is hit and miss so you might want to be careful of what you get here. Some things are great while others are just pretty poor.

I like this place. They are not that expensive, like the other surrounding taquerias. They always have good specials going on. The lady is very friendly. The only thing is I wished the super burritos were a little bigger.

Been here twice this month. I am in love with Mexican food, and I like the good stuff, because I been having the good stuff for three years now. And first time I went with my very good friend, she’s mexican and she said she like the food here, so I decided to try it, the carnitas tortas combo it was good. Very decently priced. Only downside is they charge 50 cent extra for credit card or debit but whatever. Kinda sucks but whatever. lol. It was good. Carnitas was all right tho, but the sandwich was super good, that was like two weeks ago. Than today I went with another friend of mines for a quick lunch and ordered the torta combo but this time with buche which is stomach it was soooooo good. again only thing that sucked is 50 cent charge for using the card :(oh well. Darn. anyways the food was sooooo finger licking good and another good sign is that there are a lot of Mexicans that come here, so sign of good food. :) Recommended place :) Only few mexican joints that I actually truly like :) This is one of them :)

I go to Cuco’s pretty often for the tacos, al pastor are my favorite, or the tostada de ceviche de camaron, that is a shrimp ceviche tostada. The food is very reasonably priced and always good. Last Saturday afternoon my husband and I went to eat there and he had the Mojarra frita which is a fried fish plate– he says it was good(I don’t like fish) and he has had it from this restaurant before, so it must be good. I had the chiles rellenos plate that comes with beans, rice and 2 stuffed & fried chiles. It was DELICIOUS. The rice was as good as my Nana’s & the beans are good too. We had the shrimp ceviche tostadas for an appetizer –it comes with 2 fresh fried corn tostadas & a lot of ceviche for only $ 3.75. Cuco’s is a little restaurant, hidden in a corner but, they’ve got good Mexican food at good prices.

What drew my attention to this taqueria, was a small sign displayed near Mack Rd. advertising $ 1.00 tacos. So, as soon as I got home, I couldn’t wait to tell my boyfriend about the deal. We ended up checking out this little«hole in the wall» the following day. Positioned within a run down strip mall. We did have second thoughts about going in. But you know what they say about«hole in the walls» the food is often surprisingly good. Yes, it was very ordinary looking on the inside. Run down, dated dining area, cheap pictures placed haphazardly and hung crooked along the walls. Debris scattered on the floors. But this was probably because there was a wild child making a mess at the time we were there. I thought about trying the tacos first, but we were told that they were kind of small. So instead, I ordered a vegetarian burrito and bf ordered the 3 taco combo. I was pleasantly surprised that the prices here are quite reasonable for all their food items. They have daily specials that come with free drinks. Refills are 50 cents. There is also a complimentary chips and salsa bar. The order taker at the counter did not smile, but was polite enough. I could tell he was probably not that enthusiastic about having to work there. But I can’t blame him. The feng shui and ambiance was definitely lacking. At least there was a televison with a Spanish news station on to cut some of the boredom. Back to the main draw — the food. My veggie burrito was very good. Nice combinations of flavors. And my boyfriend liked 1 out of his 3 taco selections, but thought they were way too greasy! You can get breakfast, lunch and dinner here. Good Mexican food at good prices! That is all!

Salt: Meat needs it. I though about rounding up on stars cuz it’s bit better than«meh». I likely will give Cuco another shot to re-evaluate my rating since it’s sooo cheap. Five something after tax for a meal with decent sized item(I chose torta), drink, and a s-load of unexpectedly good fries!!? Pfff! It’s a deal. With a grab your own chips and salsa bar so you really don’t need fries, but they are a hot and fresh steak fry style. As for the torta, it was LOADED with carne asada, scattered whole beans, cilantro, lettuce, and possibly a thin layer of guac. I did say possibly. The asada was well-cooked, not dry, yet bland. Salt made it good, but that first bite pissed me off. I thought about throwing it, but instead added salt. It became quite edible after that. The torta bread was okay… not stale and grilled. Overall, it might be a bit of a Mack Road dump, but at least it’s priced accordingly. Just be ready to break out the Morton’s.
