I find a great location Unilocal for Indian food to show my father how delicious it is. I’m welcomed seated nicely and excited. I get served Luke warm water, they didn’t have a basic appetizer. We wait to order while he socialized with customers, then told to have my father«try it to make sure he likes it». We waited to orders again to order the same thing. Can we just get some food while you fraternize. Do both and don’t ignore clients. I left to Bombay down the street had an awesome environment, service and food. Highly recommend Bombay down the street.

Tried the buffet. Food was bland and trying hard to be average. F+ at best. Service was horrible. No smile, no greetings, no thank you for being a patron. Dirty dishes were not picked up in a timely manner. Options are too few and no desert for the Lunch Buffet(never heard of that… but then again we learn every day). All in all F+ at best. Won’t be going back. Try another place, pass this one people.

I love coming to this restaurant! The food is always perfect and the buffet is the best in town. The buffet is inexpensive compared to other Indian buffets in town and the food is so much better. You also get nan or garlic Nan included in the buffet. You can get the buffet to go, nice if you work near by and don’t have a long lunch break. The staff is always very attentive and friendly. I’d highly recommend stopping by.

My wife and I dropped in for dinner on a Wednesday night. The place was empty but ready for customers. We were welcomed by a very nice gentleman and were promptly seated. We knew what we wanted and ordered right away. We had the Saag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Naan Bread(regular & garlic). The order also came with rice for us both. Service was very fast and the dishes came out quiet quickly — we were actually surprised. The Saag Paneer & Chicken Tikka Masala were both tasty, but I we’d had other, more flavorful samples of these dishes at other Indian restaurants that we’d frequent. The dishes(sauces) were also not as thick as we were normally accustomed to. The chicken was slightly dry, but overall, both dishes were not bad. Now, the Naan bread was perfectly prepared and delicious… especially the garlic version! Best we’d had around. We’re inclined to return to try their other dishes and have more of that awesome Naan Bread. The service was excellent and the dinner experience was very nice.

The GF and I have found our favorite Indian restaurant. Curry Club serves up refined curries that will appeal to any palate. We started with the samosas. Fantastic. The pastry was out of sight and the filling was pure vegetable goodness. The accompanying sauces were light and full of flavor. You want some heat? Go with the Vindaloo and ask for the super duper hot pepper they use. Wowzers. The GF can handle the heat, and she raved about the Vindaloo. I tried a bit — great tangy flavor and very complex curry, but I could feel my tongue starting to sweat. Hot stuff! Her lamb was cooked perfectly. I went with the chicken Korma. Yum. The curry was complex, creamy and oh so tasty. Hint — get all the good stuff from the bottom of the bowl. My chicken was also cooked perfectly. Oh, there was nothing plain about the plain nan. Crispy and light and flavorful. All in all, a fine meal. We will go back, many times.

We were in Sacramento on business Tuesday and being connoisseurs of Indian food we stopped in here to give it a try. Now we are not big fans of buffets but the flavors here are very good. The curries are fresh and the chai is yummy, good quick place for lunch.

I really like this place. It is a little small inside. It has nice bathrooms. A group of four could eat here comfortably but more would be tight. The staff is hospitable and kind. They don’t seem to smile much but they are extremely polite. If you engage the cashier you will probably get a warm response. I have. The food. It’s great. I’ve eaten inside twice and ordered take out 3 times. Never had a loser. If you order it spicy it will be spicy. I think you should get the the vegetable samosas. The chutney that comes with them is really good. I like how it looks too; layered like they made it there. The rice that comes with the dishes is really well prepared or high quality or both. Not sure. The nann is better than your average nann. That might be made there or maybe they just prepare it well. I haven’t tried any of the meat dishes yet. Just the vegetarian ones at the time I wrote this.

Great place for a quick and cheap meal(but still tasty). Not a huge selection(6 curries?) but still plenty to choose from and be happy with. The chicken tikka masala is our favorite(not too spicy), and the tandoori chicken is great to have on the buffet. The service is also great. The guy working the register and bringing out the naan was very friendly and wanted to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Best part was that it was just $ 10. Not $ 10 + tax, not $ 9.99 + tax, TEN. They include the tax, which is nice because you walk in, eat, and just hand them a $ 10 bill and walk out. Nice not fumbling around with change or anything. Oh, and I forgot about the AYCE naan that keeps coming to your table. Regular or garlic. Recap: cheap($ 10), tasty, AYCE lunch, friendly service, decent amount of street parking. Will return!

Let me start with saying… I LOVE curry! I don’t discriminate either, I love all kinds. Thai, Japanese, Indian, etc. I love them all! Came here for dinner with friends that had been here for lunch buffet and loved it. There was so many different curries to choose from, I narrowed it down but wasn’t sure if I wanted korma or masala. Just throwing it out there, I asked the server for samples(the worst he could say is no right??), he went to the kitchen and brought a good serving of each. I ended up ordering the chicken korma, it was creamy, spicy and delicious! My friend and I ended up having more meat to curry ratio(probably from dipping too much naan in the curry), the staff was gracious enough and brought us more curry to equally distribute the rations. This place is curry heaven with great service! I definitely recommend this place to my fellow curry loving friends!

Always good food and friendly service! I come here for the lunch buffet pretty often and it’s very consistent. The garlic naan is my favorite and I always eat too much of it! To beat the lunch crowd on the weekday, come before 12:00pm!

It took me few days to write this review after eating the lunch buffet there because I just don’t like doing bad reviews but I have to be honest that I was disappointed while sitting there. Maybe it was bad day but the food was awful, the saag was empty, the chicken curry had no chicken left in the sauce which they refilled about 15 minutes later, Chana dal, Beef curry was all shredded, Dal and I can’t even remember what else was out of yes the tandoori chicken, veggie korma was so nasty peach colored with a few tiny peas and little carrots you couldn’t even see, I don’t know what this red chili flake stuff is in all their food that was weird. Flavorless watery Peach colored Chicken tikka masala blaaaahh, just thinking about it. I tried their mint chutney and that was weird too and tasted so sweet like they added sweet relish or sugar and again the red pepper flakes. All the Curry’s had the SAME flavor no difference and I can’t stand that. Your Indian food should taste different the dal, the beef curry the chicken curry the Chana masala. The best thing was the Tandoori chicken. The Naan was Burt on both batches and that’s so gross to taste the burntness of Naan. I sat there irritated looking at my phone while my husband ate and he was complaining and disappointed because of all the good reviews he read that’s why we went there. So best things there are: they keep your waters glasses full, the tandoori chicken and the cleanliness of the seating areas But What a disappointment I hope it was just a bad day, but we are not willing to give it another try no way!

True definition of «dont judge a book by its cover.» My friend lives one block down and we’ve walked by it for two years now but we’re always a little hesitant to try it, I’m glad we decided to go in. So unassuming, so small, so delicious. The best Indian food I’ve had in Sacramento and possibly ever. The nan was perfectly done, the three vegetarian courses that our server recommended were beyond expectations. The three of us kinda sat there in awe(and sadness) that we hadn’t tried it earlier. The atmosphere was good, clean, welcoming once you step inside. The staff seemed very friendly and like they actually take pride in the food they produce and deliver. Everything, and I mean everything, was a 5 star experience. This is definitely our new spot. Do yourself a favor and give them a try.

I went to Curry Club for the first time tonight and I must say… ITWASAWESOME. This small restaurant is definitely a must go if you’re in the mood for Indian food in Sacramento. My friend and I went to give this place a try because of Unilocal recommendations… Yay! Unilocal comes through again! The service was top notch. We felt welcome at the restaurant. Recommendations were happily given and food came out quickly. Tonight I had the samosas and the chicken tiki masala along with the garlic naan. Every single dish was perfect and delicious. I can hardly say much else except that it was perfect. When ordering we were asked how spicy we wanted the food. The server assured us that we could have very mild to extremely hot. We decided to go for right in the middle… and it was just that. The dish had a good kick, but did not overpower the senses. The items were also very well spiced and flavored. I would not hesitate to come back to Curry Club and give some more food items a try. It is that good!

But for reals everybody! This place is sooooooooo good! My wife and I have been looking for great Indian Food since we moved back to Sacramento and we found it! Curry Club was fantastic. The owner Many was really nice and took great care of us. The chicken tikka was great with good heat but still great flavor. Garlic Naan has a ton of garlic so be careful if your on a date ;)(unless you are into that) I cannot recommend this place anymore!

Brought friends from out of town to the Curry Club. When we entered the restaurant we were all warmly greeted by the owner manager Mani. He’s very personable and makes everyone feel so welcome. If your not sure on what to order he suggests several recommendations that’s on the menu. We ordered vegetable Samosas, chicken tikka masala, navratan korma, and paneer masala. The samosas were large, fresh and delicious. The Chicken tikka masala was tender, perfectly spiced and full of flavor. The navratan korma and paneer masala are vegetarian saucy dishes that was very tasty. All entrees are served with basmati rice… Everything went perfectly with Yummy sooooo good Garlic Nan bread. We All really enjoyed Curry Club and would recommend this restaurant to everyone. The service was impeccable!

Updating the review as the owner had reached out to me and had invited me to dine in again to see experience the improvements. I really appreciate when businesses reach out to their customers to make sure they come back and have a better experience. With that, I added one more star and will be coming back to give it another go =]

Amazing dinner! Highly recommended!!! The owner, Mike was so helpful in recommending dishes. We used to frequent his previous restaurant in Roseville and always enjoyed the food. Curry club has the same quality food! We started with the chicken 65 and vegetable samosas. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the samosas had a little kick, just the way I like it. We then had the chicken saag, chicken tikka, and bhangon burtha/eggplant dishes. All went perfectly with our garlic and regular naan and rice. There were 4 of us and it was so much food. We all stuffed our bellies and we even had leftovers. We will definitely be back!

We tried this from the Unilocal review and were very pleased. We at early for a Wednesday evening and got excellent service and recommendations. Pros: The Curry and the Tikki Marsala were excellent. Food was tasty, quick and fresh. meats were tender and rice not over cooked. I can see why they have such an excellent review. Cons: Not much, the place is small and would fillup fast. Like the rest of Downtown parking is always fun, but that is about it. Recommend
