Early American Popcorn

I love this place… Darlene the owner is the most amazing lady I have ever met. The popcorn is amazing as well. I will always be a fan of Early American Popcorn. The Carmel corn is the perfect amount of sweet and never disappoints. The Carmel and the cheese mix (in a large cause you will regret getting anything smaller) is the best. My favorite combination. Mix with amazing people who work there. Can’t get enough… Five stars for this place hands down…

My wife and I keep walking by this place with that wonderful odor of popcorn wafting through the air and keep saying «We need to try this!» but we are usually already full from eating somewhere else. Finally I decided that enough was enough and bought a box of caramel popcorn for the family. We ended up munching on it by the pool with plenty of adult beverages in hand. This popcorn is excellent! It has just the right amount of sweetness without tasting like candy. We are so mad at ourselves for not trying it earlier! I would completely recommend stopping here and grabbing some corn. Next time I’m going to try one of the other flavors but caramel rocks!

Nothing like the aroma of freshly made caramel popcorn wafting through the air :) I have been getting the light crispy caramel coated treats here for a couple of decades now and they have never disappointed. Yes it is pretty expensive at $ 4.50 for about 120z but it is a nice treat .
The Cart sits near the Macy’s Men’s store on K st mall and has been a fixture there for decades :)

We were walking by the kids’ play area and kept smelling delicious popcorn… I couldn’t tell where it was coming from and found ourselves walking in circles.
And then finally… there it was! A popcorn truck… sitting within reach with loads of regular popcorn, cheese popcorn, and caramel corn. Small caramel corn please!!! Had to be the best caramel popcorn I have every had… seriously. The caramel wasn’t too heavy… perfectly coated and the popcorn was a fantastic balance of soft and crunchy.
My only gripe? The cleanliness… people who touch money, don’t wash their hands, and then serve you food really doesn’t sit well with me. — 1 star.
If you overlook that (which is really hard to do)…the popcorn is amazing!

While we were at the middle of the K st mall while my daughter, niece and nephew were playing at the kids play area my older nieces and I were sniffing around at what that delicious smell was coming from. After a few minutes were figure it was caramel corn… Oh the hunt was on! Found out it was coming from Early American– they have three types of popcorn, original, cheese and caramel. The pricing are listed $ 3.50, $ 4.50 and $ 6.50 all the same, however the small original is $ 1.50.
I ordered a large caramel and it was enough for about six of us. The caramel is soft, sweet and oh so yummy!
Next time your shopping in K st (near Hardrock) or near stop in for a yummy treat…

I totally agree with the last review the Carmel popcorn is to die for!!! I don’t know what they do but it is by far the best I have ever had. Now when my wife wants to take me shopping with her she tells me shes going to K Street Mall and will buy me a box of Carmel corn and I’m ready to go. It’s a win win deal. Please keep doing whatever it is you’re doing it’s great!

Grab the corn, go to Old Sac, buy more caramel corn on your way out.
