My family went yesterday. We’ve tasted everything on the menu; we’ve sat in almost all areas of the restaurant. In short, we’re a regular. The staff were attentive, friendly, and would do all efforts. The food were consistently great. However, to match the staff enthusiasm and the chefs’ greatness, has to come with a clean place. Yesterday, we were greeted with an old dirty kitchen smell. It’s like old oil, dirty floor smell. Our impression was that the floor needed cleaning, the furniture needed wiping, and the air conditioning needed to be up a little bit. A bit lower room temperature fumed the not so pleasant odors of people and food. We would definitely go back and I would definitely update my review to 5 stars.

Nice atmosphere, the staff is very friendly, have always gotten a greeting from the moment I have walked in. Wait time is not too long, and the food is good. I don’t remember what I had gotten last time but I think it’s a little weird how they have a small selection of Sushi Rolls. Other then that I would def recommend this place

Place was very warm inside as if the AC wasn’t working properly. It took over 15 minutes for the second server to come take our payment?! Come on now! First server Jason was great, but unfortunately he had to go home and handed off to another person named Joe? Horrible. Didn’t refill my water and didn’t come back for my payment. I had to get a manager to ring me out. I knew there was a reason why I don’t like coming to this location and why I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Slow day today, but Mario still gave great service. The only issue, the air conditioning didn’t work and it was too humid to enjoy a great brunch. Today’s weather hit the 100 mark, so the last thing we wanted was to be in a hot humid restaurant. I ended up boxing up my food and brought it home, to a cooler atmosphere. Wasn’t pleasant at all. Hopefully it will be better next time!

Was seated in an area that was freezing cold right under the AC. Waited for 15 mins for someone to take order and no one showed up. They need to hire better staff. Probably will never go back

Late night happy hour or happy hour in general… . This place rocks for hh. . When i come here its either late or happy hour time. I really like coming here because they have plenty of choices on the menu. They now take 3 bucks off appetizers which is a great deal for a generous portion and quality. . I tend to think their happy hour food is quailty over quantity. One of my all time favorite is the cheese burger with fries and beer deal. Its not just an ordinary cheese burger. Its bacon onion ring cheese burger with fries and a stella for 10.95! . The burger is quality, the meat patty is thick and definitely med rare, pink in the middle. Love the fresh grilled flavor on the patty. Usually the buns are on point, but tonight the bottom if the bun was soggy but the top bun was fluffy. They put generous amount of pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes inside. The bacon was extra crisp for sure. The melted cheese was a clump but look good in presentation. Just trust me its a good burger for the buck. . Overall another favorite on the happy hour menu is the chicken lettuce wrapp which is also great in flavor and presentation. If you like sushi, then try their tenpura salmon roll because it is amazingly good to satisfy the sushi cravings. Service is always fast and checking up on me. Great place to mingle and meet up friends some dranks and such. Thanks for reading and happy hour it up. . HH from 9pm to closing. Don’t forget to sign up for the points and reward program.

I’ve been to the Elephant Bar but it has been a while back, however it was at their Daly City location(little Philippines). I remember I was pretty happy with the food. So I decided to check out the one in Sacramento. I’ve been there twice now and the food meets what I need to eat. The menu is to the point and simple. It’s perfect too bc it’s just right down the street from Rock Fitness. Earlier this week I had their soy glazed salmon with white rice. The fish was perfectly cooked. Nice grill marks and crisp on the outside. It was very moist but not raw on the inside. The veggies were not overcooked and well seasoned. I also got myself a togo order of chicken breast with veggies and brown rice. That’s was also pretty good. The breast was topped with a little bit of pesto sauce and some juicy tomatoes. It came with sliced zucchini and carrots as well. Today after my wife and I were done with our workout, came here again. This time I ordered Mongolian beef with broccoli with white rice and Chicken Marsala with mash and spinach. They were both pretty darn good. On both days I came here, the service was great. I will definitely come here more often after my workouts.

We came in after a long day of running around. I haven’t been to the Elephant Bar in years so I was excited to give it another try. Our server wasn’t amazing… the General Manager was excellent and traded out our waiter and gave us the wonderful Amanda. He was attentive and understanding. I will be back again soon. Food was fresh and delicious, dessert was amazing. I have the cookie… two people can easily share this item.

Came in on a Wednesday evening at 8 pm for dinner with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary and it was the worst restaurant pick we have ever made. Horrible. The restaurant was super empty with only about 5 occupied tables, so we were seated promptly. We were being served by «Amanda». She came and took our drink order and took 20 minutes to get 2 cokes. 20 minutes. We both ordered the pub burgers and we asked for them to be medium well. When I got mine it was black/burnt of how over cooked it was. It was so crispy even the lady who walked it out was just staring, kind of embarrassed. I had it remade thanks to her and it was better that second time but it wasn’t delicious. Amanda wasn’t checking on us for the remainder of the night until we were done with our food. We couldn’t even get refills on or cokes because she was only checking on the 2 tables RIGHTNEXTTOUS. Horrible service! I had also ordered a side of Mac and cheese that was disgusting. And I didn’t get it until I was done with my burger anyway. Amanda forgot to bring it out. She brought our check and I reminded her about my Mac and cheese. When she was finally able to bring it out, it appeared hot and when I took a bite, it was FREEZINGCOLD. It was disgusting. Microwaved Mac and cheese? I like to give places second tries but never again will I be coming back here. Ruined my anniversary dinner.

I tried to give Elephant Bar the benefit of the doubt after I was told and read previous reviews about the service at this location. The warnings were, however, warranted. I arrived alone during a slow period and sat in the bar area. Nobody greeted me(besides the hostess) or offered me a drink. I simply say reviewing the menu. After a bit someone, who appeared to be a manager walked away from a group of employees who were drinking at the bar. She asked if I had been helped and I answered that I had not. She took my drink order, but immediately passed me off to someone else, who had to ask me again about my drink order. I received my drink and was eventually asked about food. I ordered and received what I ordered. I was asked if I needed anything else and I said I needed silverware. He walked away and helped someone else with a register issue before coming back with something I could eat with. You’d think a knife and fork would be necessary items when ordering a steak. After a while it became obvious that the employees at the bar were the priority. The manager was often standing talking to these employees and was even carrying food to one of them in her hand. I have no clue what it was, but imagine walking through a restaurant carrying a couple of pieces of bacon in your hand to give someone. The food was decent, but it is obvious that the customer service is lacking. These are minor considering how things could have been, but they do show a lack of professionalism(employees in uniform drinking, carrying food in your hand) and the lack of importance of the customer(no silverware upon seating and not immediately returning after asking for some).

Went there with some co workers for lunch. Waited 45min to get our food. All my co workers liked their food but not I. I got the Mongolian beef over rice, meat was not finely sliced more of a cube. I had Mongolian from a sketchy restaurant in a sketchy area taste so much better for half the price.

I’ve only been here once for lunch and a few times now for happy hour. The waitress and bartenders are super friendly and accomodating. Their happy hour menu is ½ off appetizers and their appz are yummy and fancy! I believe there is a thing for drinks too but I can’t recall what the deal was. Mai tai is my favorite drink to get there! The atmosphere is chill, low light setting and with the group we had we were loud and laughing and no one seem to mind. or at least said anything. What made my experience even better, most recently I went with a group of friends because it was one of their birthdays! We never mentioned it but the waitress must of noticed her birth date when checking id. So she bought a complimentary dessert with a candle and everything! So sweet, so yes stop by for happy hour for sure! I’ll have to check out dinner time to let you guys know

So today is my daughters birthday and I decided to bring her out and invite her friends and family. We all love this place and I think they are so perfect for celebrating. It is slow tonight which was somewhat surprising because every time I have ever come here it was busy. I love the atmosphere here and the staff is cool and friendly. We sat at the bar until our table was ready. The food is so amazing here and the drinks are decent, but expensive to me. Since I don’t drink on a regular basis so the prices really surprised me. One drink like $ 7.buck and then the waitress tells us that it was happy hour till 9p and we could get certain drinks for $ 2. bucks which was cool. The ladies liked that. You could spend a lot of money at the bar alone. Glad I’m not a drinker. My daughter enjoyed herself and when we sang happy birthday to her other customers were singing and clapping when we were finished. So that made here feel special. They were willing to put the cupcakes in the refrigerator untill we were ready for them. I like that at the Elephant bar they let you enjoy yourself no matter how loud you get. I think they are very accommodating here and I think that’s why we have been coming here for so long. I like the Elephant bar and most definitely love to celebrate here for special occasions. They have so many wonderful items on their menu to choose from. Love this place, been coming here for years. The great thing tonight was my daughter enjoyed herself and so did all the ladies. Good times.

Two stars only because of the food. The food is always good. I usually only come here for the lettuce wraps or the sliders. Service usually ehh ok. Tonight we stopped in to a half empty or half full bar. However you want to look at it. It started with the wait to be greeted. Took about 10mins just for our waitress to come over the greet us. And an extra 10 to bring the menus. Thankfully we already knew what we wants so before she could walk away we ordered. We asked if they could make a peach Bellini. She came back without an answer when asked she said oh yeah I forgot. We didn’t want it anymore. Food came out as normal was good as always. She didn’t come to see if we needed anything until we were basically done with our food. Another person had to assist us since she was lost some where. When it came to getting the check it was like waiting for rain on a hot summer day. She was no where to be found again. Miroslava I am sorry but as much as you disappeared and could not manage time I felt as if I should have just walked out after waiting 10mins for the check. I’ve never left a person without a tip because i feel like everyone works hard and deserves the benefit of the doubt. However with the time you spent with taking your group of what seemed to be your friends order and chatting you could have gotten our check first. I wanted dessert but did not have the patience to wait for you to circle around for a menu again, then disappear before returning to take our order and then to wait on the dessert. I really do hope some training is properly done here because I like this place I just don’t want lackluster service.

My husband had gone to the Elephant Bar last week with a friend, so suggested he and I go there for dinner. We both ordered the sliders from the appetizer menu. He ordered coleslaw and I ordered sweet potato fries. We also ordered Onion Rings. In the meantime I asked our waiter if I could get a sample of their Tomato Bisque, which was the soup of the day. It was delicious ~ smooth and creamy garnished with a swirl of cream and a sprinkle of fresh parsley. At that point I wish I would have canceled my order and simply gotten a bowl of soup! Our food took quite a long time coming to the table! We finally asked our waiter, «How much longer will our food be?» His response was that they were overwhelmed with orders and the kitchen was backed up. Really? You’re a food establishment and should be able to handle a number of orders. Honestly, the restaurant was not that full. When our waiter finally brought the food to the table, I immediately tasted the sweet potato fries because they did not look fresh! They were cold and clearly had been sitting. Is there anything worse than cold sweet potato fries? Okay yes there is, but really? The waiter was quick to remove my dish; brought back the sliders and said I would receive fresh sweet potato fries shortly. The second time they came they were hot and fresh like they should have been the first time they came to the table. As far as the sliders go, I had a lot of gristle, fat and grease. Not nearly what I expected. I felt like all we had eaten for dinner was grease. My husband asked the waiter if the coleslaw was a creamy base or vinegar, the waiter told him it was creamy. However when it came to the table it clearly wasn’t creamy. Would we return? Perhaps. Definitely not for the sliders, but for their Tomato Bisque Soup ~ yes!

Crazy overcrowded around dinnertime and hard to access from Arden Fair Mall, despite being just across the street. Oh, Elephant Bar, if I wanted to go to a real jungle, then I’d be out traveling the world instead of sitting next to a giraffe statue at your establishment! Unfortunately, we received disappointment after disappointment. I felt like a monkey that was starving after a day of foraging for food that encountered a banana, only to open it and find that it was rotten. 1) Our reservation was not honored. My friend made a reservation in advance over the phone and upon arrival, there was no reservation to be found! Nonetheless, we decided to wait about 20 minutes instead since we were already there and because it wasn’t the current hostess’ fault. 2) We were rushed through ordering. Sure, it really did seem like a wild jungle packed full of people but that is no reason to be rude and rush your customers, especially with hand gestures to hurry… and to top it off, we were already PREPARED to order, but because the waiter didn’t know the menu well, we had to point to each individual item, which he made seem like an error on our part. 3) Our entrees arrived before our water AND cocktails. Also did not get utensils and napkins until after our food came as well. 4) Food itself was nothing special, had the Thai BBQ soba noodles with vegetables and the«soba» noodles seemed more like spaghetti dowsed in sauce than anything else. The mango mojito skinny cocktail also left a lot to desire — WAY too minty although I commend the decently sized glass, which was larger than we were expecting. Overall, fairly poor service that kind of put a downer on the night. It definitely was super busy but many little things could have been handled better. I’ve heard good things about happy hour here but not sure if I’d come back to this location.
