Frumoasa Salon 2

Again and over and over again, the best place in Sacramento for hair salon is out here on J st.

This is specifically for my manicure. I have not had hair services here.
The tech (I believe her name was Amy) was very nice however I got the impression that she was a hairdresser first, nail tech second. She seemed very nervous and barely filed my nails. The part she did file was crooked and they are all different lengths. She did nothing with my cuticles and didn’t even have a block to buff and smooth out the nail. When it came to Polish she was sloppy. I got a dark red and it was all over my skin and cuticles even tho she tried to clean it up with a brush. The polish was bumpy and the color was uneven in spots. They chipped the very next day. Had she not been so worried about trying to sell me their lotion with Aloe in it, maybe she would have noticed that she basically soaked my hands in water and then messily applied polish. She even missed doing the top coat on my pinky. My nails look no better than when I take five min to polish them myself. It was a waste of $ 20.
This is in response to the nail techs comment below: I did not say I loved it and I choose not to get gel because it makes my nails thin. Please don’t put words into people’s mouths just to save face. I would still not recommend your salon or nail services.

Diana has been styling my hair for the last 10 years. She and her staff are amazing! I always know that I will get a stunning hair style from coloring to cutting. She also cuts my son’s hair and he loves her. The service at Frumoasa is always great. Diana knows exactly what to do and I trust her to use her best judgement on what will look good with my facial structure. I will never have anyone else style and cut my hair again. Diana and her team are constantly learning new techniques and keep up with the current and new trends. She also uses top of the line products and will teach you how to use them too. Not only will you get an amazing hair experience, you will also gain the knowledge to style your own hair so it looks like you stepped out of the salon every morning.

When I moved to Sacramento from Washington DC, I was desperate to find a place to have my hair cut and «conditioned» (as I prefer to call hair dye!) After several notable missteps, a friend suggested I try out Frumoasa. What a difference! After about a year and a half at Diana’s first salon, I have followed her to Frumoasa 2. I have curly, somewhat coarse hair, and several terrible cowlicks. Diana gives me the perfect cut, working until the crazy hair is tamed. And color! She led me through my dalliance with going blond, and back to a more natural brown color. Through it all, the shades were awesome, and the cut amazing. She even trims my bangs when they get out of control for no extra charge! No question — best hair stylist in the Sacramento area…

I’ve been going to see Diana at Frumosa for a few years now. I’ve recently noticed that my hair is so much healthier, shinier and I always get compliments on my color! She’s helped me figure out styling tips and products that work best for my hair and and I love how healthy it is! Diana is super sweet and very passionate about hair. I’ve been to other stylists in her salon when I had extensions and everyone that works with her is just as sweet and professional. I drive all the way from Roseville which isn’t always easy, but it’s sooo worth it!
