Funderland Amusement Park

Funderland is BIZARRE in every sense of the word.
Granted, it was not for me why we came. My toddler adored everything about this place. There are tons of things to do for the really little guys (mine is just over two) — and he was able to do some of them independently (I wouldn’t recommend riding on the plane with your kid unless you are accustomed to vertigo). He was really really into this place and I felt like a really good mom for the hour that we were there.
Yes, the reason for only 4 stars: the HOUR that we were there. I drove about an hour to get here and all of our money was gone and little guy had been on everything twice or three times, in an hour. I was expecting it to be more of an all-​day thing, but unlike FairyTale Land, if you’re not willing to pay for something, there’s nothing to do. Granted, there isn’t a price for admission, you just purchase ride tickets, so you control your own destiny.
It’s a fun little place, but plan out your day better than we did and plan to hit the other stuff in this area, like Fairy Tale Land, too.

I thought this was called FUN-​derland?!
My niece’s birthday party was here and I was a little thrown off by the behavior of the employees here. Most of them looked as if like they hated their life. My nephew met the height requirement for the dragon roller coaster ride, yet the woman working it said he was «just under»…(after shift change the next chick saw he met requirement and let him ride with an adult)
The skinny emo dude running the airplanes made me feel like a fat cow because I wasn’t thin enough to have the rope ‘safety band’ around me and made me get off the ride. I made a couple jokes to him about it and he didn’t crack a smile.
The two nicer employees were an asian dude working the teacups and the lady running the face painting booth (she was great!)
Overall, pretty affordable and half the rides are good for kids over 2 years of age. If they are under 2 and/​or under 32inches, you may want to go to Wacky-​tacky in Roseville instead!

This is a very cute section of William Land park that is geared towards young children, maybe 2 – 7 yo. There is parking along the street and it was easy enough to find some spots. There are maybe 8 – 10 rides throughout the whole park. Each ride costs one ticket, with tickets being $ 2.2 each or $ 19.95 for 10. We came the weekend before Halloween and they really went all out for the decorations! There was also a special fair of some sort where vendors came in and set up booths around the area for you to peruse their goods. Overall a fun hour or so. However, it’s a bit too expensive to be a regular routine place to visit.

We just celebrated my daughter’s birthday here with family. We arrived early and got several tables without a problem. The kids loved the rides and so did the adults! Great place for younger kids and overall a clean and safe place. The only negative thing was the carousel was not working and no one mentioned it even after we called several times to get info about the park. Hopefully they get it fixed because our daughter was bummed it wasn’t working.

We enjoyed the pony rides. The area is super cute and fun for little kids. The rides are a bit outdated but the kids will have fun.

Its small and crowded every time we go, but its a good place to spend an hour or so with the kids. Food is not great but they have cotton candy.

I took my 5 yr old here on a free day during our family vacation. We have a similar park in our hometown, however this place was much nicer, in a by far better neighborhood, and was just all around enjoyable. The park was clean and nice and Funderland just enough for to excite my daughter but not break my bank account. I look forward to bringing her back here again.

Came here on a Wednesday, wristbands for unlimited rides were $ 17.00 regardless of age or height. 3 of the rides my son couldn’t ride because he was not tall enough to. Which is lame because there is only the train, airplane, fish, car and teacups for him to ride. If your an adult and need to ride with your kid you also need a ticket or wristband.
We got here when it opened, parking available across the street at land park. You can also pull up to the front and drop off which is sometimes a better idea since parking and walking across the street with kids and loads of stuff might be a pain.
Funderland has a lot of upkeep they need to put in to make it great. The potential is there but there just too many eye sores and junk on the site.

This place is great. nice spot for smaller kids. i signed up with them online and got coupon for buy one get one waistband. it said i needed to print it but we were travelling and didn’t have a printer. i showed the coupon on my phone and they honored it which was great! My son is 3.5 and had a great time. we stayed about 2 hours the rode the ponies outside. all the staff was great too. friendly and helpful. what a convenient area with three attractions in one place.

Cool place to bring your kids that are under 10. Came here Saturday for a friend’s kids bday party. No entrance fee YAY! I had 3 of my nieces with me. They were so excited! This place has picnic areas where you can reserve. I think my friend bought a bday package with included umlimited rides for the kids, face paint, and picnic area. It was all under $ 200 for 2hours. I thought that was good deal. Even after the 2 hours the kids still were able to get on all the rides. I like how the Park was small. I was able to watch my nieces from a distance. The kids had a blast and to be honest I did too.

Great place for small children around 2 – 3 years of age. Small park with less than 10 rides. Neighboring parks is the Sacramento Zoo and Fairy Tale town. They have a small food venue stand with your typical fair food. Ticket prices are $ 2.25 per ticket or $ 19.95 for 10 rides. I’m glad they have this place for toddlers/​younger children. Most amusement parks offer rides for older kids and teens!

Horrible. I took my 1 year old here during her birthday and they didn’t charge the adults to ride the carousel with the babies (1 y. o and 1.6 y. o) but every other ride they charge us extra on top of the little one. When I went to the train, the guy said she could ride by herself as long as she had head and body control. When I asked what would happen if she fell out because there wasn’t anyone there to make sure she stayed seated (because the only restraint was a rope across the side you get in on), the guy said he would stop and pick her up. I was like omg! That train doesn’t go very fast but it’s enough for a toddler to get hurt if they fall. And imagine if one fell and a limb ended up in the wrong place? The parents who heard the guys response around me shook their heads and agreed that wasn’t safe. This place is just an overpriced lawsuit waiting to happen.

This place is OK.
Entry is free but ride tickets seem pretty expensive. I bought the Family Pack which is 30 rides for $ 45. We burned through those pretty quickly. Also, 3 of the rides weren’t open. Considering that Funderland is small, 3 rides being down is significant.
The snack bar is descent. Average selection: burgers, dogs, etc. prices were actually fair for an amusement park. The food wasn’t half bad. Nothing more really to say about that. On a side– I forever have issues with the lack of healthy food choices at places that cater to kids. You can bring your own food to Funderland so I guess that is a up side.
They have places set aside for birthday parties but honestly Funderland feels more like a pit stop than a destination so I personally wouldn’t do my kids parties there.
All and all we had an okay time. For families on a budget you’d be better off going to Children’s Museum or Art Beast.
I really only had one actual issue with this place and this is it– all but 1 employee there appeared to dislike their job. If you’re going to work with kids you should have the personality to match… Just saying.

This was nice. Great place to take the kids [if they are older]. EMPHASIS ON THE OLDER! We took our son (1 ½) and daughter (3). I felt really bad because he was only able to enjoy 2 rides– the train and the carousel. He looked so sad while his sister rode all the rides her little heart desired. She had a great time. Free to enter but tickets are like $ 2 each. And even as an adult you need a ticket. Need to stall time: great place to go with the kids but on the expensive side in the long run.
And far warning: avoid the teacups and crazy wagon. Made me feel super sick!

My kids love it here but this recent visit was a bit disappointing. We got the unlimited rides wristbands for $ 17.50 each (it’s gone up from $ 15). The buggie cart ride was under construction and the water log ride was dismantled. Wish I had noticed this before I purchased the wristbands. I mean how many times can you ride the already limited amount of rides before you get bored?! If I counted correctly, there were only 5 child rides and 1 baby ride remaining in service. Not worth the wristbands at this time. What made things worst was the long lines because it was during Spring break.
The food is sooo overpriced! For example, $ 3.50 for a Churro?! WTF?!! We spent more on food than the wristbands. Next time, we’re going to make sure we eat before coming here.

We came here for a birthday party! This place is fun for kiddos. Small enough for them to have a fun afternoon. They are definitely for the younger 1 – 6 or 7 years of age crowd. The lack of a star is because the bathrooms are OUTSIDE of the park and it seems unsafe out there.
The set up is great its a circle. The theme of it is super duper cute!
I didn’t have anything from the snack bar so I can’t say anything about it.
I didn’t like that for the birthday party every time another kid showed up, we had to flag down the lady to stamp their hand it would’ve been better had they had wristbands or something you give the parent of the party. But over all its cool place.
The birthday party area is set up pretty cool. You bring your own food/​snacks/​etc. Cakes whatever. The kids ride for 2hours unlimited.
I had taken my little people here when they were little like a little over 1 years old. I wish I had taken them here more when they were smaller, but honestly I forgot all about this place, unfortunately. It reminds me of Children’s Fairyland in Oakland when I was a kid we went there religiously and I have the greatest memories from going there.

Our son and his friends love this place! I think we may have ruined it for him by taking him to larger theme parks but he has always jumped for joy when we mention this place. We normally get wrist bands for the kids so they can go on rides until their hearts are content.
We only have one child so we always invite a friend or two and or cousins to join us. My husband and I are really tall and it is extremely hard for us to fit on the rides so it is mich easier on us to bring a friend for him and we just follow them around until they are tired. The kids love it!
About half way through the day if it’s hot we get snow cones and if it’s cold be get hot chocolate. The kids really enjoy this!

For what it is, it is entertaining. However, it is definitely for younger kids. My Goddaughter and family friend enjoyed the time their, but quickly ran out of things to do. However, we sort of expected that, so we planned to stay there for only about a half hour. The «stagecoach» ride, however, is awesome for all ages, and the carousel is standard carnival fair for everyone.
Again, you should use this place for about the ages of 8 and below for a full day’s enjoyment, Pretty reasonable pricing for tickets, and every ride is only one ticket. I probably won’t be returning any time soon, but when my soon to be born nephew (due in March) turns 5, I would probably have a fun day with him here in about 5 years.

For the price… $ 16.95… My toddler got to ride 8 rides. 6 by herself and 2 I went on with her. It was a great way to kill time while waiting for my husband to get off of work.
She loved the roller coaster!
