If I could, I would give them alllllll the stars in the sky! I can’t even believe that there are still business people in these times when things are still a bit tough that show generosity and kindness! But Curt Chapman and his daughter Kelsey and their long-​time co-​angel, Katie, are shining examples of just that… generosity and kindness personified! Not to mention knowledgeable and professional and all the things that you expect business people to be! Do yourself a bigBigBIG favor and go to this shop! And if by some chance you *don’t* find exactly what you want in awesome, eyeglass frames… whether you want classic, retro, pretty or some of THE most cutting edge looks available ANYwhere… don’t be shy… ask!!! Because they sincerely want you to be happy with your own look and style! And they’re going to do all they can do for you… because that’s just how they do business!!! And just like in my previous review, I have had some financial issues again… finally got together some $$ to put new lenses in a frame I already owned and a couple weeks later the frame broke! Curt tried his best to fix them but they just couldn’t be fixed properly. I was pretty devastated (not having the $$$ to go through the whole process again!!) I had another frame (I think it’s obvious by now that I’m a glasses junkie!) and Curt took that frame and is making me another new pair of glasses at no charge… In his words «To help you in the process of getting back on your feet»!!! I ask you… who does that!!! Curt Chapman does it! And yes, I’m a long term, loyal customer… but honestly, why wouldn’t I be? And better yet… why aren’t you???

The best place I have ever done business with when it comes to purchasing a pair of glasses. Honest, friendly, they make you feel like you are important to them and genuinely interested in getting you what you want instead of other places I’ve been that tied to fit me into something they want to sell me. Even since I moved they worked with me through email.

This place is great, came to fix mom’s sunglasses and found great sunglasses for myself.
The girl who repair glasses was very friendly and ja really like her. However the person who help choice the flames nice enough but not like the one who help me when I pick up my prescription sunglasses. This place is awesome and have lots unique flames.
Note: they validate the parking right above the parking garage. Just make sure it is not full because there seem events all the time!

The Sun was blazing in my eyes. My future is so bright so I gotta’ wear shades! Maui Jim is my favorite brand and they had a nice selection of Maui Jim sunglasses. The staff was very helpful. I was in and out with a new pair shades and a Kool aid smile! Overall great service!

My «innocent» two year old decided that he wanted a new toy=my Gucci (yeah buddy… I’m fancy) prescription glasses. When he was done «playing» with them, the aftermath was a severely bent temple. Because I am out of the one year replacement timeframe, I had to scramble to find a solution to this problem. A quick Unilocal search for «eyeglass repair», lead me to Indi Visual Eyes.
Upon entering the store I noticed the clean arrangement of the store, and large assortment of designer sunglasses and prescription eyeglasses. I was assisted by a gentleman that looked at my frames, and immediately knew what I was in there for. Without asking any questions, he took my glasses to a backroom and came back with a repaired, cleaned pair of glasses. He explained that one of the supports that held the temple together was bent (thankfully not broken). Best of all… he advised me that the adjustment would be free of charge!
Based on the level of customer service that I received (and the variety of eyeglasses), I will consider purchasing my next pair of prescription frame here.

The women working was so helpful and took me around the store giving me different glasses to try on etc. She was super honest (in a good way) and I could tell she genuinely wanted me to find a pair of glasses that I liked rather then just get the sale. I spent a solid hour and a half looking and she was with me the entire time. Once I picked a pair they were able to cut the lenses right then and there so I walked out with a new pair of glasses ready to go! Great selection on top of everything! Pretty sure this is a local family owned business which was the cherry on top. Highly recommend and will definitely be back for my next pair of glasses!

I am back for more! I don’t normally buy sunglasses but Curt was amazing! He will take care of you like his own family. His professionalism and product knowledge would exceed your expectations. He is also very honest and very reliable. He will get you the perfect glasses and save you money as well!

I needed an arm or temple for a favorite pair of glasses and they said come on in. Within 45 minutes they had repaired them almost like new and at a very reasonable cost. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great place to get glasses. Extremely helpful. We’ve been getting our glasses from Curtis for over 20 years even after we move to Reno and now Oregon.

I bought 2 frames/​lens sets here last fall. They really listened to my needs, asked good questions, were very helpful. They have a range of prices and styles – I got a pair of cheapies for reading ($ 100 including lenses) and a ‘good’ pair for all-​around use (a few hundred)
Fast turnaround, I had my frames in less than a week.
I went back to the store a few weeks ago after I became a Google Glass Explorer. I wanted to add prescription lenses to the frames that Google sold for them. Not many people around Sac have these yet so I was nervous about having them done locally. I was happy to learn that they had researched the technology after I’d called, and were happy to help put bi-​focal lenses in my Glass frames. Again, really fast turn-​around, and they really listened to my needs. The lenses are placed perfectly in the frame.

These guys are awesome! I love my frames and wanted to get the same frame in a different color. I bought them on line and Kelsey switched out my lenses for free! She was super helpful and answered all my questions! Thank you for your help and i will be back, to spend some money this time!

I have been doing business with Indi Visual Eyes for over ten years. Curtis is a genius — he has an unerring eye for which frames look good, and which ones don’t. And he will TELL you if a frame is not the best choice for your face. Curtis will cut custom shapes for rimless lenses that are different and imaginative, but not weird. I love the glasses that I have now. Curt cut a custom shape, and put a tint on the edge of the lenses that guarantees that nobody else has a pair of glasses just like mine. I would not even consider going to a different place to get glasses.

Totally 5 stars for Indi Visual Eyes. I was in desperate need to take my contact out and didn’t have my case or solution with me. I walked in to Indi hoping they might be able to help me out. Right away the associate gave me one of the trial cases and solution. My eye was so relieved and I grateful for Indi Visual Eyes going that extra mile.

I am a frame snob! I love high quality frames, the ones that do not have the brand name plastered all over the outside of them usually ranging from $ 450 — $ 1200. I hate the price, but for some reason, every frame I fall for happens to be in that range. I am often drawn to and wear German or frames close to Germany such as: Proksch, Lindberg, Freudenhaus, Lunor, Markus T, IC Berlin’s…etc…
I stop in every optics shop I walk by and the best thing I did when I moved from San Francisco to Sacramento is walk into Indi Visual Eyes. The first person I spoke to was Curtis who happens to be the owner and is almost always at the shop. When he isn’t in the shop he is usually out and about in the world doing something positive by helping others in need.
Curtis and his staff are the reason I always return to this shop. They are top notch, genuine, honest people. The only thing they care about is that you walk out the door happy. They will get you what you want and whatever you ask for but in turn will give alternative options which are often less money. They also treat you like they have known you for ever or part of the family. Just all around «good people»…
If they do not have frames that you found elsewhere, they can often order them for you even if it is a brand they do not carry. Not always the case but often!
I have been to every Optics shop in Sacramento County and nothing compares. They also work with a great optometrist next door, which you can access both from within. Dr. Kelvin Sue… So this is a one stop shop! They have their own lab and can often get lenses cut and your frames returned to you quickly.

I have been using Indi Visual Eyes services for more than ten years. Can’t ask for more. Excellent products and customer care. Just updated my primary and backup daily glasses plus added sunglass lens to a pair of 1968 frames.
It is always nice to occasionally stop in to get my frames adjusted and say hello.

If you know me, then you know that I have more than a few loose screws. Well this time one fell out of my Derek Cardigan hipster glasses rendering them unwearable and, when you live in Midtown, that counts as an emergency. I wasn’t able to fix them myself because I didn’t have the proper tools (otherwise I would have of course fixed them no problem). Luckily, Indi Visual Eyes is just a quick power walk away from my office. The young lady behind the counter fixed them right up for me for FREE, even though it took her a while to find a screw that would fit my cheap ass frames; can’t beat that! When I am ready to get some new Prada or Versace frames, this is where I’ll send someone to buy them for me.

This is a hidden gem in the world of Sacramento optometry. I say hidden gem because its location across from the Imax theater next to Tequila Museo can not be seen from the main streets and attracts the bare minimum of window shoppers. This means they rely on referrals and word of mouth, and I am happy to give my recommendation.
My lady needed some new prescription shades and Indivisual Eyes was recommended to her. It wasn’t crowded at all when we went to pick the glasses up, allowing for the employees to give her a lot of polite, one-​on-​one attention. It’s unfortunate that I just got my prescription sunglasses somewhere else not too long ago or I would definitely come here!

I am so glad my friend recommended this store to me. I have been going to my optometrist for glasses the past two times I’ve ordered glasses and, while I always like my glasses, I don’t looooooooooove my glasses.
My optometrist has a decent selection but I never have any idea if my glasses look good on me because the sales associates give me the same noncommittal answer for all of the glasses, «those look good too». When it comes to eye-​wear I need some brutally honest advice because buying glasses is a big investment and I don’t want to spend an entire year walking around with so-​so frames.
When I strolled into Invisual Eyes, Sara came right up to me and welcomed me without stalking me and «helping» me try on frames. I picked out a few I liked and she actually told me which ones did and didn’t work for my face. And I found the perfect pair! I was going for a nerdy/​sexy look and I found it. Plus, very, very reasonable.
