First time in this Saturday and Sunday. Super nice place and great product. Wish the staff was a little more engaging with me, instead of talking with each other.

I love this place! I went here to do bible study and I order a latte. The customer service is awesome and I just love the environment and everything! I am coming back here and I’ll probraly bring some of my friends here too!

I really like the interior of this place with the wood, metal, and black. I love their matcha latte. I was tempted to order something else, but I didn’t. I have to come back to try something else next time.

I like the atmosphere here for studying. However, the setting is a little dark when you just want to hang out with friends. I ordered the Matcha Green Latte. It is pretty good and you can definitely taste the Matcha. I do think they could go lighter on the milk, but it is a Latte. The workers are friendly and are willing to give you education or background on the drinks. I am excited that some of the profits are donated to The Food Literacy Center. I will definitely visit their other locations when I am meeting people for lunch and not for studying though since this location is in a dark area.

Great coffee… I had a mocha and it was smooth and not too sweet. I had a bite of my friends chocolate chip cookie and it was super tasty. I like vibe of the place but it seemed like it could get crowded quickly as there isn’t much seating. The barista dude was super friendly and attentive. Overall it was pretty cool and I’ll likely go back.

This place is beautiful! The tables made of tree sections are so nice to look at, and very cool as a study table for your laptop or books. As I sit here on my laptop, looking out toward the fountain, I can’t help but wonder why I don’t come here more often. The music is relaxing, the lounge is quiet and very welcoming. There isn’t much room to study since there aren’t too many tables, but hey, that’s what libraries are for. If you really wanted to study here, there’s plenty of outdoor seating and the free Wi-Fi works perfectly there too. I was craving coffee this morning, even though I can’t have caffeine but I had to feed my craving. I told the barista I couldn’t have caffeine and I couldn’t have dairy or soy, so she very nicely recommended a Sweet Latte made with almond milk… It was perfect. I got it iced while my partner got hers hot and we both wanted to get more. The pastries are very tasty and fairly priced. They have a big variety to choose from, and it’s hard to pick one since they all look so good! If you aren’t much of a coffee drinker, there is still something here for you. You can get a Matcha Latte or Chico Chai or all sorts of tea. I am sure they have decaf teas as well.

The staff are awesome here! We got a quick tutorial on different brewing processes and tasted them too.

Amazing vibe. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the doors and offered to take part of a tea tasting. So fun! The barista was knowledgable and friendly. I ordered my standard cappuccino and it’s super tasty and they didn’t skip on the foam. My husband is nestled in to study and I can definitely say that we will be back again in the future as we travel to and thru Sac town.

Can’t believe I’ve missed this great little place for my Saturday morning coffee time! The store set up is easy, free flowing with plenty of cozy seating and cool things to look at while you are there. The baristas are knowledgeable and laid back with excellent customer service. I had the sweet latte and savory scone… YUM! Delicious and different than the same ol’ same ol’ from the chain coffee joints. We sat outside in big comfy(clean) chairs enjoying the morning, company, coffee and snacks. I’ll definitely be making this place a regular stop.

While visiting Sacramento my husband and I were craving a coffee shop where we could just sit and do our own working with no pressure. THISPLACEISIDEAL, if you need a study spot that is comfortable and chill. They don’t offer syrups for coffees, but they make it even better with their brown sugar simple sugar.

By far one of my favorite coffee shops in town. Relaxed atmosphere — a great place to study or read. Their latte and sweet latte are my favorites. If I remember correctly from my last visit, the Batista told me the sweet latte is made with house-made brown sugar simple syrup. YUMMMM!!!

What’s not to love about this place. Love the clean, white, open space. Free wi-fi. The coffee masters are extremely friendly! The coffee is made with love… I’ve never had a bad cup.

Delightful coffee and a great location! They have power outlets for laptops and free wifi. For someone who works out of coffee houses half of the time, this is very important. I had the cappuccino and house coffee(free when you check in). Smooth and delicious.

Love this place. My favorite coffee shop in Sac! The staff are great and the drinks even better. You can’t go wrong with any of their caffeinated drinks and neither with the recent upgraded pastries. We love their Mochas and Lattes

I came here early one morning for a some quiet time before heading to work, and it was perfect. This location is really nice and open. I loved sitting near the window to enjoy by matcha latte with the sun shining on me. The matcha latte was really good, and I wish I had one right now just writing about it!

Great Stop For Coffee In Pavilions Shopping Centre SITREP As much as I love the nearby Temple Coffee(Temple) at the old La Boca location(corner of Fair Oaks & Munroe), I finally investigated this Insight Coffee Roasters(Insight) location due to the fact that Temple is much smaller, always hella crowded, with almost no place to sit. * Good for them and Temple business. * Not so good for a customer wanting to relax for a couple of hours and chill with some computer-wifi’ing posting time. So if it wasn’t for that little disappointing *nudge* out the Temple door, I probably would not have finally investigated Insight, and I’m very glad I did! THESETUP Located inside the Pavilions Shopping Centre, Insight has an amazing prime location, with doors on both ends: so easy access from both the parking lot side of mall, as well as from the interior-mall area. [Looking from one door entrance to the other door entrance.] SHOPLAYOUT In addition, the layout is quite spacious, with high ceilings, lots of open air, and different kinds of seating arrangements: * People get sit at a «bar» on cool stools right where the coffee drinks are being made, * Or patrons can sit on padded seats in the seating area, with also with stools against some great desktops or tables. I have to say that even though I will no doubt be here less than I am at the Insights downtown at 8th& S Streets(near work) or 10th& K Streets(closer to home), this Insight location at Pavilions is by far the shop with the best physical plant, best décor and most room. [How I wish it was downtown!] THECOFFEE I enjoyed a mocha with almond milk(just because I wanted to try something different, and it was quite delicious! THESTAFF And when I was there, it was a treat to chat with both Courtney and Christina, the talented baristas at Insight, and their wicked sense of humor. ;) THELOWDOWN Great coffee stop inside the Pavilions Shopping Centre!

What a nice relaxing area! Came her for a small breakfast. When we walked into the vicinity, we noticed that it was very low key and quiet. If I was still in college, I would come here every weekend to study! The shop is very quaint. Woodsy, like a lot of other coffee shops. There are plenty of tables and chairs(inside and out). The employees are very kind as well. I ordered the matcha latte and a lavender scone, while my boyfriend ordered a regular coffee and an apple tart(?). I enjoyed both my purchases! Unlike Starbucks, insight actually mixes the matcha w/hot milk or water to prevent matcha clumps at the bottom of my drink. My boyfriend enjoyed his coffee. He said it was very smooth. As for the apple tart, he wasn’t too much of a fan of the filling. There were a lot of choices in the pastry shelf, so next time I come back I will for sure try other pastries! Would recommend this place to anybody!

March 4, 2015 Insight Coffee Roasters(ICF) @ Pavilions «Nicaragua — Finca Los Congos — Washed» was today’s coffee bean, and roast date was February 25, 2015. How do i know this? By simply asking the barista. Why is it important knowing the origins of a coffee bean, roast date, and production process? Sometimes coffee reflects a «story», and people enjoy stories. In other words, this bean has undergone an intriguing story of: love, care, and dedication(i.e. country, farm, production). Well today, my machiato and gibraltor has a flavorful story – it was tangy, citrusy, and bitter sweet. In the end, it leaves a floral aroma for maybe 1 – 2 seconds and that’s it. A very clean representation of the«Nicaragua — Finca Los Congos — Washed».
Oh if you are wondering about the café, its beautiful and kinda feng-shui. The décor is modern and up-to-date, and before entering the café you can sense«posh» in the air. Is this my café and story? A very clean café with welcoming vibes, but as for the story, i will return for chapter two…(not really my coffee bean) ********************************** ICF – Score: 4⁄5. Nothing really mind blowing or different, just simple coffee with stellar service. Recap: Payment – credit/cash Wi-Fi – You betcha(Canadian accent) Hours – 7am-7pm Coffee bean selections — Nope, you are given one choice Quality – Yeah, clean and professional Seating – Minimal but i wouldnt recommend group study meet-ups. **********************************

Hands down my new favorite coffee joint in town. Location: Pavilion(by the old borders) Pros: coffee to milk ratio is on point. The mocha’s espresso was not overpowered by the chocolate, which happens a lot at other coffee shops. The barista kept the cappuccino’s espresso flavor without the acidic taste. Also, the baristas there are sweet, I see customers in there till like 7:30pm. It’s a plus as well for it be located in such a cute plaza. Cons: Only open to 7 pm. Yes, I love coffee even into the wee hours of the night :). Unfortunately for you grouponers, the offer only works for the shop on 10th street.

I’ve heard so much about Insight Coffee since it’s a popular local coffee shop. but never went until today. We were in the area so I had to stop by for a drink after our dinner & dessert. It’s very quiet inside and there’s plenty of booths, tables, and bar seating to hang out and study. If you told me I was in this shop and we were in the middle of SF, I would believe it. The menu is simplistic. you’re not going to find your favorite Starbucks customized drink here. Luckily they had what I was going for: the matcha latte, perfect since I’m not a big fan of the coffee flavor. We hung around and ate our Susiecakes(new business next door!) treats along with our Insight drinks. Since we ordered«here» instead of «to-go,» mine came in a ceramic mug with pretty foam art. The art even stayed put until my last sip — pretty cool! The drink was warm, not too hot, which is great. The taste wasn’t as strong as I expected however. I did appreciate that I was able to change it to soy milk. Great coffee shop feel here — but I’m not sure how often I would come because of the limited menu and my displeasure of coffee… since I have a favorite Thai tea down the street at Temple, I might go there first. But Insight is definitely a new option for a study spot now!
