Ugh, this salad is so good! I ordered a salad and turkey with tortilla strip soup. So amazing! I just wish the soup was bigger and they gave me more steak. Other than that everything is to die for

I have been to Jacks Urban Eats twice since its opening. I thought I’d be a huge fan and would have a go to place but it really fell short. I went with my boyfriend for lunch and spent $ 15. I got garlic fries and he had chicken strips with fries. He got 3 tiny skinny chicken strips and a handful for fries for almost $ 8. It really looked like a child’s menu item. We both left so hungry still and both agreed we should have went to Smash Burger next door and spent the same amount if not less and would have been extremely full. Nothing worse than spending your hard earned money on food that doesn’t even fill you up. At this moment in time, I don’t feel that I would return or advise anyone else to eat here. The place is very clean, however and very well decorated.

I love that Jack’s has a variety of foods that are actually quite healthy and actually tasty! But of course I always go all out and get fries or Mac n cheese. It feels like you’re having a home cooked meal when you’re here. I recommend the Cajun chicken sandwich with urban fries, and a side of macaroni and cheese. YUM!

I am a big fan of Jack’s Urban Eats — everything I’ve ever ordered here has been delicious. I love that everything is made fresh to order! My favorite would have to be the custom-made salads but their sandwiches and plates are great too! Recently I tried their Mediterranean Salmon plate with a side of mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. It was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. They have several locations but I like this one located more downtown. Seating can be an issue but usually once you wait in line, order your food, and pay, some seats have opened up. Fast, friendly service and a decent price for a good lunch.

As a single lady that works a ton and doesn’t have the energy to cook I come here… A LOT! I love this place and always recommend it. I’m a health nut so this place gives me a ton of options. I’ve tried some of there sandwiches as well and everything is made in front of you to your liking. I’m obsessed with their urban fries! It’s my cheat meal when I’m feeling up to it lol. It is a little loud, and busy but they have plenty of seating inside and out.

I was somewhat excited to see a Jack’s at the Sacramento Airport while on a recent trip there so I stopped in to grab a sandwich before catching my flight back home to Portland. I had lived in Sacramento most of my lite and Jack’s Urban Eats in midtown was a favorite go-to and I always enjoyed the food there. The staff were always pleasant and attentive. This was not the case with the airport location. It was a slow day for flights and not a lot of other people other than me being served. Unfortunately the young woman preparing the food orders behind the counter had a major attitude problem, complaining to someone she knew who came up beside me that no one she liked was working that day. I ordered a chicken sandwich and waited. Watched people order the same sandwich after me and get served before me. When I kind tried to say something to the person working she kind of grunted said here’s your sandwich, cut it put it on a plate and tossed it on the counter. In fact, the only staff person working that day who was nice and had a smile was the cashier who quickly warned me(upon seeing me look at the beer selection) that beers were $ 10. Would have been nice to have a beer with my sandwich but not at that price. Other restaurant vendors beat the $ 10 price. Will have to try the one downtown when I visit again but I will pass on the airport location from now on.

Went to jacks Urban eats for dinner on 12÷21÷15 around 6:45pm. The place was bustling as most jack’s seem to be. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich with a side of fries.. The sandwich was cooked and flavored nicely and went well with the fresh cabbage and French fries. My girlfriend ordered a build Your own salad with mushrooms and chicken etc. Her salad was delicious and a pretty decent size for the price. All in all an above average meal at a well known established restaurant in the heart of midtown. Not my go to place if I need a cheap meal but you get what you pay for most of the time. I would recommend jacks to people I know and will most likely be coming back to this location

I haven’t tried everything on the menu, but I wasn’t terribly impressed with the food. My favorite thing was probably the Mac and Cheese. Can’t go wrong getting that. Also the Urban fries are a win. I got the Bahn Mi sandwich but all the meat had large amounts of fat attached so it was hard to eat I had to break off a bunch of pieces. Otherwise the food was pretty good. And it comes out relatively fast!

JUE is always delish! Everything is always fresh and they keep the restaurant very tidy, including the bathroom. The steak salad is my fave, NEVER a disappointment there!

The build your own salad is where it’s at! For $ 8, you get 6 toppings and it’s a giant plate of food. I really enjoyed the urban fries too. Blue cheese and chili sauce? Bomb! It was super busy on a Friday night, difficult to get a table and you have to hover. Good choice of beer, awesome sides, reasonable prices.

Came here for lunch. There is a variety of items on the menu, so I had a lot to choose from. I was feeling rather large, so I decided to order something on the lighter side. I ordered the quinoa and kale salad, which was really good! I am usually not fond of healthy portions due to the lack of flavor, but this one caught me by surprise! Very flavorful! I actually wanted to have it again for lunch the next day! Service was great; the staff was super friendly and my meal was prepared quickly. Will definitely come back for this! Thank you Jack’s staff!

This place was super loud but the food was ok I guess… I ordered the grilled cheese sammie and I felt like I got cheated out of cheese. My buddy ordered the Ruben and it looked like he got cheated out of meat. My other buddy ordered a salad and got the hook-up on lettuce! The sides looked amazing and they were generous with the mashed potatoes for Ruben eating friend. «Cafeteria style» restaurant is the perfect description for this place and the food. For what we got it seems really pricey. Mid-town parking is always a crap shoot and although it’s good to know they have a lot it’s also good to know it’s almost always filled. The food prep and service areas appeared to be clean so that’s nice. I probably won’t be back because I was generally unimpressed.

Really good! Had a double date and it was a great atmosphere for it. Cafeteria style serving w really good grub. Taste was really good but it’s pricey for the portions. I would recommend but give your wallet an aspirin afterwards.

Parking– They have a lot, but it’s usually full. We scored a double park against the wall. The lot is a huge perk as it adds additional spaces in addition to the street. AC– It blasts, great for summer, but they can turn it down a tad, kind of uncomfortable. But, I love it and that won’t hold me back. Loud– Hard to talk, wish it were a tad quieter. Selection-New menu and new look. They give samples of side if you ask. That was so sweet. It got me to try something new and I liked it. Next time I’ll order it. So many good things. I just went with my usual half a salad and pick the toppings. Tons of new toppings. And missing some favorites like mandarin oranges and strawberries. I guess the change is good for the people that come. I will be back. It’s a good option for when you want to go out and have a salad.

I like eating at Jack’s till now. I always thought their produce and quality was quite good till today. I work for the state and try to make my lunches as fast as possible, I typically eat at my desk. So I ran out to Jack’s today for my typical salad and I go at 1:30 — 2:00 to avoid crowds. When I got back to my desk, I started looking through what I was eating after noticing dark brownish red and yellowish white strands. These were to be carrots, although looked nothing like any carrot I have ever seen. I picked them out and continued to eat when I hit the dead end of a head of lettuce, the absolute bottom. Then I hit a garbanzo bean. I do not eat certain beans due to a severe allergy to a certain protein and garbanzos are one of those. I couldn’t finish, I had to throw out this disgusting tray as I list all faith in Jack’s and their salads. I took pictures, wish I could upload here.

Jack’s is the place if I’m in the mood for a healthy meal… though if I’m honest, it ain’t THAT healthy after I’ve loaded that salad down with ranch dressing, fixings and a side order of mac n’ cheese. ;) Jack’s is a hip/hipster build-your-own salad bar with a rotisserie for various meats and hot side dishes. It’s always busy but the turnaround time for your food usually isn’t too bad considering the crowd. I always come here for the salads(it’s my favorite salad place in town) and usually end up getting a side dish. Their urban fries are blue cheesed perfection and easily my favorite side, followed closely by the mac n’ cheese and the garlic mashed potatoes. I like a place where you can obtain mashed potato & gravy comfort year-round. My only gripe is Jack’s sometimes likes to randomly close for no good reason(and occasionally without a reason posted on the locked door), but other than that it’s a solid meal choice.

Kind of an interesting cafeteria style operation they have going here. Set in a borough of Sac-town at the corner lies Jack’s Urban. They form one line and put together your food once you order. Given the length of the line, it went through faster than I expected. Dishes that take longer to prepare are brought to your table. Ate the Certified Angus Tri-Tip plate. Came with mash potatoes & seasoned vegetables(green beans). I had never heard of pesto mashed taters prior to coming here. The plate tasted like a home-cooked meal. The mash and vegetables were the perfect complement to this dish. The tri-tip alone was A-okay. But pouring the chipotle-mango sauce really elevated the meat. That sauce is bottle-worthy. Coming here during the lunch rush and was pleased to find ample seating. I think the number of takeout orders contributed to that. The group I was with split the Urban fries. Seeing a presence of chili flakes in fries was certainly a first. The blue cheese was a good balance to the mild heat from the chili. I didn’t detect the chili oil but guess it binded the chili flakes together. It’s worth a try.

Jack’s is such a great place to eat indoors or outdoors in their patio which looks like they just updated. We use to come here a lot before I retired after work. Today we came for lunch after an appointment I had at my former work. We both enjoy eating their salads which they make fresh in front of you as well as their sandwiches. I usually eat their Thai prawn salad but today I had the Chinese Chicken salad which was quite tasty. My husband had the western bbq steak which was yummy! I’ll have to get that next time! Today is really hopping busy but they got through the lines in record time. The restaurant accommodated all the customers no problem.
