Too much spice thrown on. and after I seen them pour tons of oil I skipped the Mikes Way A little oil and oregano goes along way. It should not over power the sandwich. They do have good quality meat. I had the club sub. I liked it but did not love it. Will have to try again in the future but will ask for light herbs/spice mixture and a light drizzle of oil

My fiancé ordered a sandwich from here a week or so ago. I had already eaten, but he gave me the cookie. His sandwich was delicious and I have to say the peanut butter cookie I ate was hands down the best cookie I’ve ever eaten. It was so chewy and soft melted in my mouth. I can’t wait to come back and try a sandwich!

My husband & I have wanted to try Jersey Mike’s for a long time as, my husband being from the East Coast, he misses their great subs. Hubby got a large Italian & a Big Kahuna which is a cheesesteak w/grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms. extra cheese. The cheese on Jersey Mike’s cheesesteaks is white American cheese but we don’t like American so he asked for provolone, not American on the Big Kahuna, 2x(I was on the phone w/him) He gets home about 30 minutes and when we unwrap the cheesesteak, it’s got a ton of white American cheese melted in it, and no mushrooms, no onions, no grilled peppers. He had asked for sweet red peppers on the side(look at pic. # 8) which are common on the East Coast but we didn’t get those. They gave us grilled green peppers & jalapeños on the side. It would be at least 30 minutes each way to go back so that’s not an option as its late already but, $ 14 for a sub isn’t exactly cheap, so he calls the store up to see if they can fix this mistake. He spoke to Dane about the mistake, how far we are so we don’t want to drive back. Dane was apologetic, handled the matter very well, told us he would give us credit, after he took our name & #, for 2 subs. We ate the Italian sub & it was ok, not wow. There just wasn’t lot of meat, cheese, or even produce on it, even less than a Subway sandwich that cost $ 6. I know it’s better quality but for $ 13.95, it should be substantial like the photos show. We’ll try them 1 more time, see if they honor their offer to fix it than will adjust stars accordingly.

Food = 5 stars(when it was done correctly) Customer service/accuracy = 2 stars This location needs help. These were all mobile orders. First visit was great. THE best veggie sandwich I’ve had in my life, hands down. Second visit, two of the four sandwiches were missing the extras I paid for(extra cheese and avocado at $ 1 each). We live about 20 minutes away, so we did not go back. Third visit, just now, my order wasn’t ready(10 minutes after it was supposed to be) and my husband, who picked it up, was treated poorly. This really is the best sandwich ever, but I’m not sure we’ll be back. Two out of three times isn’t great odds that we’ll get what we paid for and with good customer service.

An extra star added to my earlier review for Mike’s owner’s response to my unenthusiastic review. Thanks, Todd R., I will try again.

This place is just meh. The tuna sandwich was okay but they mixed stuff in with it. They don’t toast anything and to be honest it’s over priced for what you get.

First time today for a sub from here. It was pretty good and I got $ 1.00 off with my check in! I’m guessing this is a chain that is new to me and I will look for others as I don’t get up this way often. I had the #5 with pickles added.

Just popped in for a quick bite, told the guys behind the counter that I’d never been to a Jersey Mikes before… I got THE best customer service ever from the 3 employees behind the counter. I got the full run down of the menu, hot and cold, most popular, the sizes, what the best bread is etc. I was wowed! Got the roast beef and provolone with everything. I lo e the cherry pepper relish! So deliscious. The bread reminds me of local deli subshops, doesn’t taste like the other chain guys soft and unremarkable breads. Definitely coming back!

FOOD — Chipotle Chicken Cheese Steak: chicken, grilled onions, peppers, and chipotle mayo. I liked the sauce but I was expecting a kick but there wasn’t any. The sub may have tasted better with veggies. It was too one dimension, it was just cheese, meat, and bread. The chicken was tender and flavorful. Though it was good, I wasn’t wowed. Maybe more bread options would add something to the subs. They only offer white and wheat. 3.5÷5 SERVICE I was instantly greeted at the door. I ordered my sub to-go. The staff were all friendly. 4⁄5 FINALTHOUGHTS I would come back to try other subs. Next time I won’t fail and check in after paying. I missed out on the $ 5.99 combo deal. You would think I would learn by now. lol.

Love Jersey Mikes, but have to mark it down from last visit. Nothing makes you cringe like someone using dirty mop and cleaning with gloves on and just going straight to making your sandwich with same gloves. Contaminates all the meat slicing for everyone and also using same gloves to cut my bread. Just hoping I don’t get sick. Also the oil and vinegar is great but don’t need to flood it so much that by the time you unwrap it within a minute of purchase bread is already super soggy. People are nice but use some common sense.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I had to for this one! The Philly cheesesteak is THE bomb! It was definitely one of the best sub shops I’ve been to in awhile. I randomly stopped in thinking that an old gyro place was still there, but it turned out to be this new spot. It was delicious. I will be going here again. Plus, the price is just right.

I heard a promotion for the restaurant on the radio & thought I’d give it a try. Two stars because the staff was incredibly nice(thank you!). We ordered two Jersey Mike’s Famous Philly Chesse Steak. This sandwich come without any sauce/mayo only meat & cheese. It was so dry & mostly bread. The staff graciously offered to add some mayo to our subs, which we accepted, but where do they serve a dry philly?! $ 22.00 for two sandwiches only, definitely had higher expectations. Their cold subs may be better but unfortunately I’m not willing to risk wasting more money.

This was my third time trying this place and still gross. The first time they put so much oil and vinegar that I couldn’t even taste the actual sandwich. The second time there was no flavor at all. This time the chicken cheesesteak was so dry and blah. The chicken was hard and dry and there was no seasoning or flavor. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Sad I wasted my money here. Would’ve been better at Subway.

I was looking for some food on Fulton and took a chance on Jersey Mike’s Subs. I ordered a Philly cheese steak and I’d have to say it was the best Philly cheese steak sandwich I’ve had in years. The meat at cheese were excellent quality and the bun was also very gooe. It looks like they cut all their meat to order and cook everything fresh. The service was outstanding, the restaurant was clean, and the prices were reasonable. The sizes of their subs are 5 inch, 7& a half inch, and 15 inch. The server who helped me was very patient and very friendly which was nice since it was my first time at their restaurant.

Nice size subs. The place is clean and the employees have always been friendly. Service is quick too. We first visited Jersey Mike’s with friends in Columbus, OH. When we discovered JM’s would be opening here in Sacramento ~ our taste buds did the happy dance :) We usually order turkey subs. Tonight I wanted something hot. Going with the counter guy’s suggestion, I ordered no. 17 ~ Jersey Mike’s Famous Philly. Hello!!! Yum! Not a lover of green pepper, my Philly had grilled onions and beef with melted provolone cheese. None of that cheese whiz here! The best part was I had beef and onions from end to end vs. an empty hoagie. Boom.

On my next visit, after my last review, I remembered to say«no oil vinegar, I’ll add that myself at home, but yes to the oregano.» She said«Do you want it go in a sauce cup?» YES please! So she gave me two sauce cups, one of oil and one of vinegar, and we took it home. The sandwich was perfect, no wet or soggy areas, and we sprinkled it on ourselves. Perfect.

My mom and I went in to Jersey Mikes the day before they were open, they graciously handed us 2 free sandwich coupons. Really good sandwiches! They sliced the meat in front of me and all the ingredients taste very fresh. My wife and I agreed that this place has the best sandwiches we’ve ever had! Very smart on the free sandwich cards, because I WILL be back!:) Also, very friendly service. Everyone seems like they like their job and that’s always nice to walk in to

My fiancée and I went to Jersey Mike’s a few weeks ago. We liked how they sliced up meats on the spot for our sandwiches. The bread was super good and a nice break from Subway… A bit pricier but that was a damn good sammich. If I’m in the area I’ll definitely visit again.

Being from New Jersey I was so excited about a jersey mikes here in the sacramento area. If you love turkey subs you will love the turkey sub but make sure you order it mikes style. This is not like subway you don’t need a million things. Only thing extra I add is mayo because even the mayo is very good. Must try and you will never look at subway again.

I’m trying to figure out what the raves are all about. Went here for the first time tonight and agree that their ingredients are nice and fresh, the people are very nice, etc. The food just has no «oompf.» What’s with all the oil? The woman recommended I get it «Mike’s Way» since it was my first time, and told me if I didn’t like it I could get a free sandwich next time. If the oil and vinegar were the only problem, I would take them up on the offer, but the food was just nothing special. The oil was just sitting on the sandwich; at least the vinegar has FLAVOR. I couldn’t figure out the purpose of the oil, and it just made everything greasy and flavorless. Won’t be going back — just not my cup of tea, I guess. I much prefer the Sandwich Spot for those rare occasions I eat sandwiches.

I was shopping in Town & Country Shopping Center where Trader Joe’s is and saw Jersey Mikes next to Jamba Juice. I had never had JM’s before, but I LOVE a good hot Ruben sandwich. The cold sandwiches you can watch them make to order, but the hot sammy’s they prepare behind counter and then toast it. I’m use to seeing Rubens made with lots of thick bread but not much on the pastrami/corned beef, so I was curious to see how awesome JM’s makes theirs. I’ve only had a REAL pastrami Ruben at Milton’s Deli in Del Mar, CA, and it’s stacked so high and huge. I’ve never had a East Coast Ruben, so I don’t have much to go off of in terms of «perfect» Rubens. Well I got mine to go and when I got home I saw just how HUGE the Giant Ruben is. It’s actually the GIANT size option for $ 12.95. I opened up the foil and the meat was steaming hot with melted cheese and seriously packed in the soft sub roll. My husband could not believe how much meat they give you; and even though $ 13 may seem kind of high for a sub, it really is legit for the quality and the quantity. We had more than ½ left the next day, and 1 really huge reason that this sub is a winner for me is because it heats up in the microwave perfectly without the bread getting rock hard like many reheated sub rolls do. The meat was still tender and the cheese still melted great. Now don’t petrify it in microwave and you are in for a great treat the next day or late night. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because I’ve only been twice so far and ordered the Ruben both times. I look forward to trying other subs. I personally order the 1000 island on the side and add it myself at home and ask for light on the kraut, but I’m sure it’s fab exactly how it’s suppose to be made. Thanks for opening up in Arden-Arcade!!! P. S. anyone looking for a fun picnic, grab a sub from Jersey Mike’s and then go to Trader Joe’s and get some chips, a fun beverage and a sweet treat to finish it off – especially in the beautiful weather Sac is having right now. Sincerely, CGD10÷27÷15

Dropped in since I heard that they featured cheesesteaks. Had their«Big Kahuna» expecting it to showcase their best effort. While it wasn’t bad, it was rather bland. Not enough jalapenos or peppers(were they pickled cherry peppers? I could not tell) to impart that classic tart and spicy counterpoint to the meat and cheese. In my opinion, the cheesesteaks at Wild Bill’s in Folsom remain the ones to beat. Jersey Mike’s didn’t even come close…

We have been waiting patiently for Jersey Mike’s to open up and so finally yesterday for lunch I stopped in and got an Italian sando to go. Mike’s way on white — well I got home and the gal put so much oil and vinegar on the sandwich the bread was completely soggy. Then on top of that the bread was HARD! I have had many Jersey Mike’s subs before and the best part is the bread and meat are FRESH and the bread was so old and hard that I took it apart and put it on my own bread. Even then the lettuce used was kind of old and not crisp. We might give it another go and try again but for the $ 10 we spent on the sandwich it wasn’t worth it. I only live 2 minutes away so there wasn’t even enough time for the bread to become old or super soggy so not sure what’s happening there. But we were not impressed.
