If there was a negative star, I would use it. Stopped by last week with some friends after 10am to buy lottery tickets, and the guy said it’s closed. Right. This week, stopped by there to redeem some tickets, and the guy asked me to step aside so he can help other people first. So I did. After the line died down, he still didn’t help me saying I had too many tickets. So we left. I waited in line just like everybody else, and I expected to be helped, like anyone else. Maybe because I dressed nicer than 99% of his customers, he’s prejudiced against me or something.

I’ve known the guys who run this mini mart(which used to be located at 8th and K) since I was about thirteen years old. I used to take light rail downtown after school and stop in here to buy Jolts back when they were in the plastic bottles. They were always super nice to me and made sure to keep my precious Jolts in stock. Nowadays, they’ve got a bigger store and they’ve stocked it with everything you would expect to find at a well stocked corner store. It’s always the same two guys working and they always greet you with a smile and friendly conversation. They’re quick to ask you if you need help finding anything and they keep expired items off their shelves. I’ll be continuing my ten year tradition of being a frequent K Mini shopper.
