Great experience. I was unable to reload my recovery software on my laptop so I called just to ask about possible issues that might be affecting it. He thought it was an overheating issue right away (and he was right), but also was able to tell me what else it could be and approximately how much the repair would cost. I dropped off the laptop Tuesday evening and had it back Thursday morning. It is amazing how much an overheating issue can impact PC function. Super happy with my experience. Friendly, honest advice and repair. Resolved my computer issues quickly and communicated with me through the process. Definitely recommended!

He has helped me build a powerhouse custom Lenovo workstation from scratch to my specifications and offered very useful insight on how to make it even better. Dan also rebuilt our Dell Server with a redundant double RAID configuration in case of catastrophe. And installed new windows server software when our previous IT team recommended a new Dell server. Dan is our IT team now. We have a busy office with a server, 16 workstations, 9 staff, and a big client base. We absolutely cannot afford computer downtime! My power supply fan broke and need replacing.
Every where I called tried to rip me off at prices over 80 $ not including parts.
Dan was the only one who gave me a reasonable price for such a small job (20 $).
After buy the part at Frys myself he replaced it in under 10 minutes.
I recommend anyone who has something wrong with their PC to only call Dan.

Dan is awesome. He help by transferring files and pictures from my old computer and a hard drive to my new computer. He answers his phone, if he can’t he will text right back. LE friendly!!!

Dan is very knowledgeable and knew the type of problems on my laptop and desktop computer (both had issues). He was very busy, but managed to get our laptop back to us pronto to have. I would use him again without hesitation.

Let me start with Dan’s prices.
Dan has the best prices around, hands down. There is just no competition with pricing. He does not charge a diagnostic fee, on top of $ 85+ an hour for labor, not including the cost of the parts.
Pros beyond cost.
Dan is VERY knowledgeable. He really knows his stuff. He is excellent.
Dan’s given me free advice over the phone, that 2 companies tried to charge me for.
The 2 places I called both said I needed to bring my computer in, and they would have to perform a diagnostic test. This was by no means a crisis. I am not trying to be cheap, but I couldn’t understand why anyone would need to run a diagnostic test, based on nature of the problem.
I don’t know why I did not think to call Dan first.
Dan told me over the phone, what he suspected the problem was,… and he was absolutely correct. The problem was fixed for under $ 10.JaJa.
Fixed by a compressed air spray cleaner in a can.
I make sure to keep those dust cleaners around the house now. JaJa
Over a year later, no issues.
Yeah, some companies wanted me to bring the computer in, and charge me to diagnose the problem. A problem resolved by an air spray can. JaJa
That is how well Dan treats his customer’s.
Dan actually remembered that we have a cat and a dog. I never thought to mention that.
It was that simple. It’s one of those things that I thought I should have known.
Dan really knows his stuff, he is trustworthy, reliable, and his prices are unbeatable.
If you still want to call around, be sure to ask if, and how much they charge just for a diagnostic fee. Dan does NOT charge one.
Ask them how much they charge they for labor, per hour. Ask for an estimate, if they can give you one. You will probably have to pay that diagnostic fee just to get the cost of labor and parts.
Dan’s costs are lower. He can get a new part that is perfect or he can get one that is nearly perfect, but may have a tiny, practically unnoticeable imperfection and save you even more.
Say your screen needs to be replaced. Which can be costly.
If it is going to save me anywhere from a minimum of $ 200 to $ 300,… or more, because one tiny pixel is off,…NO PROBLEM.
Note. Dan will also give a warranty/​gaurantee on his work too, and at no additional cost.

Very distraught, I frantically looked around for someone who could help me. I found Dan who offered the cheapest price out of everyone I consulted with
He’s a really sweet man. I’m not technology savvy, but I never once felt like he was taking advantage of my lack of knowledge and overcharging me
He helped me look up prices of a screen replacement. I ended up just buying a cheaper laptop, but still was very satisfied with Dan’s time that I was willing to pay the labor fee. I was also able to use a loaner while he looked into the matter. That was very kind of him.
Should I ever need his services, I’ll definitely come back to him

My laptop was in bad shape. It took Dan a bit of tinkering but, he stuck with it. After about a week, my baby was returned to me in perfect working order. Thanks Dan!

I called Dan because my HP pavilion powered itself off one day with no warning and would not reboot no matter what I did. He gave me advice over the phone on how to HARD reset it, which fixed the problem for me.
So at the end of the day even though Dan didn’t actually need to work on my PC, the fact that he was willing to provide a consultation and give customer service/​advice that he could very well have charged for (and other repair shops would have charged for), I am sold on his 5 star service. Call him first if your PC conks out. he knows what he’s doing!

Open to non profit collaboration and corporate service contracts. My guess is that Keating will grow quickly to a top staffed IT resource in midtown.

I called Dan on a Sunday in desperation to help me with a family member’s gmail problem. Probably not exactly his main area of expertise but he was so kind and patient and offered me advice for about 20 mins. Then, a day later we sorted out the problem on our own. I called Dan to tell him and see what we owed him but he said no charge! Dan’s the real deal and I couldn’t recommend him higher.

A+ experience! Call ahead– Dan works out of his apartment but no worries. He is professional and leaves the door facing the courtyard open so as a young lady I felt comfortable.
We came by to get my cousin’s computer looked at before she left the country the next morning. In her travels the screen had shorted, became discolored, and began to flicker. We knew it was short notice but Dan was confident he knew the problem and could get it fixed for $ 80 that day. Sure enough, we got a call that evening and came by to pick it up. The screen was as good as new! Not only that but he said the work came to $ 60. It is very rare that we are ever charged less than an estimate so we gave him the $ 80 for his outstanding service and last minute attention. He will be my first call for any computer needs in the future!

Awesome guy fixed PC on short notice. Second time minor issue and didnt charge anything. Def dont want any other issues with my electronics but if I have any PC trouble I am calling big boy.

After time spent both at the Apple Genius Bar and Fry’s Electronics, I came to Dan with the hard drive from my MacBook. He was hopeful that he’d be able to get it spinning, and when he couldn’t he knew exactly the right lab for me to send it to. His advice was completely worth the drive into Midtown (from EDH).
True, Dan couldn’t save my hard drive, but he explained what they will need to do at the lab, and honestly I never would have known how to go about finding a lab without his advice.
I’m really grateful for his time and help.

The dreaded Blue Screen Of Death entered our life. Computer non-​responsive despite all efforts to coax it back into service. Life ground to a halt. Productivity nil. Computer — older. Terminal? Perhaps. Was our data gone forever?

Thereafter, not long, a day, maybe 2, that old Dell was back. Hand-​delivered no less. Running normally. Data restored. External HD backed up. BSOD vanquished. Dan told us the old Dell was good, solid. Had good computing days left in the ol’ gal. Didn’t need a new system yet. Unexpected good news, this was.
Long story short. Life returned to normal. Normal for us anyway. Computer running well. It was good. We were grateful. Grateful to have found Dan. Dan did indeed save us. Price was fair. Service was great. Dan made it easy.
